This is the iconic lunch counter joint featured in The Help. Drug store lunch counter food (grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, fries) that you remember from your youth, if you're over 50. Yes, you can get a shake with that. It's the ambiance, not the food, which is the attraction. The back room becomes an authentic speak-easy bar, after 4:30.

Customer service was horrible, the waiter became rude, simple because I asked about a side salad. Not one time did I get a refill, nor the parent that was waiting on their son to enlist. They refilled everyone around us, and keep walking past my empty cup. Paying bill, the gentleman at the counter refused acknowledge my hand out, laying my ticket on the counter, as well as ink pen. As we walked out, his response was, I see why I left the south. â¹ï¸

Had lunch here with my wife, daughter, and son-in-law. This restaurant is a favorite of my daughter's, conveniently located in her home area of Fondren. Place your order at the counter and meal is brought to your table when ready. The girls both ordered burgers, daughter had the cheeseburger and my wife, the Stupid Burger. Both were huge and judging by their plates, delicious. They also shared an order of onion rings. My son-in-law both had the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich came halved, with chicken overstuffing the buns. It came with a cup of honey mustard dressing for dipping. Yum!Not a fancy place, kind of funky feel, but if you are looking for good food at a more than reasonable price, Roosters is the answer.

Time for lunch in Jackson, MS....love the inside space of this restaurant...they have a dog friendly patio, inside bar and plenty of tables inside with light coming thru the windows.. love this. So many choices on the menu that it was hard to choose, but our waiter Alex was very helpful. Love his energy and he was right - the beer battered fish was awesome, as the veggies that we ordered with it. Definitely a must on our next visit!!Hello, Thank you for the five stars! We were visiting from Florida. When we arrived, the hostesses were super nice and friendly. We were seated and had two glasses of water in front of us almost immediately. I thought, âWow, this is going to be great.â We ordered two iced teas which were also brought quickly and then everything went south. I will not elaborate on all of the petty details, but it took approximately 45 minutes for our food arrive. I will say the food was very good. I wish the service had been better.Hey! We are so sorry again about your experience. We should have communicated better and sooner about the backup in the kitchen and done more to make your experience less frustrating. Thank you for contacting us and helping us understand how we can be better.

What a fun place!! Lots of families seem to gather here after church. There was a buffet as well as ordering from a menu. A live musician played from a corner stage as well as wandering through the tables of diners.Service was friendly, helpful and excellent.
