This no frills restaurant serves locally fresh caught seafood. Caught from their own boats. This place is right on the water and the decor reflects that it has been flooded. Furniture is utilitarian and designed to be unaffected when it does flood. The food is good, we had the crab cake dinner. The menu consists mostly of seafood and you can even get frog legs. The food is served on rectangular ceramic plates. The staff is friendly but pay more attention to each other than their customers. I had to go to the bar to get our silverware. We went there on a Tuesday early afternoon and the place was busy. No wait but most tables were full. After we ate we went to the seafood shop that is connected to the restaurant . Got some smoked mullet and they had a selection of fresh caught seafood. The prices are a little steep but well worth it.

I will always remember the fantastic salmon salad served at the Highlander Cafe (selected from a Tripadvisor recommendation). My husband had a cauliflower cheese soup and a 'special' panini chicken sandwich with apple butter. Open only for lunch, the service was friendly, incredibly fast and the interior clean and pleasant. A great place to visit while shopping in the Citrus area of Crystal River. Truly a gem!

We have't been here for awhile, but it is a fine dining restaurant & local to us. The waitstaff was attentive, but not overly so. I had duckling with risotto, and creme brulee; husband had escargot, grouper, & an ice cream sundae. The other couple had 5th St. mac & cheese with lots of chicken; he had beef tenderloin, & carrot cake. All excellent.

We serve fresh and made to order breakfast and lunch. Our proteins are cooked from raw and are never pre-cooked frozen product. Our eggs are extra large and are guaranteed delivery within 3 days of farm fresh. The sausage gravy starts with whole hog sausa
The food and service were excellent! Soft fluffy biscuits and delicious sausage and gravy. The apple fritters need a little more apple in them but they were divine and came with a caramel dipping sauce, yum.

Had a great lunch yesterday at Seafood Seller. The Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Grouper Sandwich, Crabcakes, Blackened Shrimp and Grilled Grouper were excellent. The Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake was also very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food and customer service.

Great local Bar and Grill with amazing food and atmosphere. Open 7 days a week for your enjoyment. Come meet our great team.
THIS is all that the previous reviewers promised! Yes..its away from, well, basically everything. Its worth driving 10 or 15 miles! Yes, it looks, well, unimpressive. Don't let that stop you! We had called for reservations (recommended on a Fri or Sat night), but there were a couple seats open at the bar when we arrived a few minutes early, so we happily sat there. The atmosphere is chill; the staff are VERY attentive and friendly; the food is GOOD, and the prices are very reasonable (3 beers, wings, prime rib burger, AND dessert = $40!) Hubby gave wings a top rating, and the prime rib burger was Perfectly done! And, salted caramel cheesecake? Oh. My. But, seriously, the service sells it; if the service isn't good, the whole experience is crap. Very pleased.
This could be a wonderful lounge if they would get smoke ceiling fans like of bars near by, lower the volume of the bands, karaoke we aren't eat yet can't enjoy the music to listen or dance and enjoy meeting people there or even order drinks or food from next door at Shrimp Landing. They used to be better.

Best crab cakes I've had...and I try them most places. Fresh grouper tacos were very good. Whatever salsa or slaw they put on there really made it tasty. Pretty view I'll post pic of that. Cheese grits as a side was perfect. Off the beaten path but so worth it! Sorry no pics of food we were starving.

I stopped in for some lunch before driving out to the gulf on the "Follow That Dream Parkway". I ordered the Chicken and Dumplings with side of mixed vegetables. The Dumplings were very good (homemade). The veggies appeared to have come from a can. They were just okay. Service was good and the price was very fair.

Passing through on the way up north and saw a sign that said Breakfast... Itâs called Shrimp Landing and so we werenât sure if it was actually a place for breakfast.Sure enough it was!Friendly service and a cozy nautical atmosphere. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful! The best biscuits that I have had in Florida! Large and fluffy...couldnât be better. My ham and cheese omelet was fluffy and cooked perfectly. Even the coffee was great!Iâll remember this place. I have to come back for their seafood!
