Great place to stop in and pick up a lunch box - salad and half sandwich and a cake ball or sandwich, side item and a cake ball. Good quality food, decent variety, service is usually good - but service does suffer if you go after 3 pm during the week -food quality and service improve dramatically when the owner is on duty. they have recently started the half sandwich and side item (and cake ball) which is more realistic for a lite meal. My favorite is the pimento cheese sandwich and Caesar salad - the bread is sooooooooooo good and pimento cheese almost as good as Mama used to make. It's a little pricey but good. 'Oh yeah - the windows are heavily tinted and it's often hard to tell if they are open - it's worth checking out

Well established smokehouse. Brisket is the best. Beef ribs are the best. Pork ribs were excellent. Sides were pretty good, which is unusual for a smokehouse. It is pricey, $25 a pound.

This place just recently opened. They donât even have a telephone number yet. There were 2 drive thru lanes. One obviously wasnât working cuz we waited behind another car for over 5 minutes. We finally got in the other lane and that car followed us over also. I ordered a buttermilk chicken sandwich and Pops got a homestyle burger. . They were the size of sliders!!! And the bill was almost $10.00!! And thatâs all we ordered. The chicken sandwich was spicy and nothing on the menu indicated that it was spicy. My husband ended up with it. The girl who took our money did apologize for the long wait. Once we placed the order after changing lanes, we waited 7 minutes to pay. And we still waited for the food. Next time we will go to Whataburger. They are always dependable. The food is always hot. And the order is always correct.

Wife and I went for lunch, want to go back. Pulled pork was amazing, brisket was really good. Loved the fries, potato salad was solid, sweet tea was perfect, even the bread was great. I was only disappointed in the beans. Service was good, atmosphere was nice and price was on par. Great meal and experience overall.

I was helping my Mom and Sister move some items and needed to grab something quick for lunch. We ordered 2- two piece white chicken plates with a side salad and roll and a japaleno pepper. Ice tea to drink. First off, service was fast and friendly. Manager was also very personable. The chicken was good, hot, crunchy and quite tasty. The little side salad was also surprisingly good. The Hawaiian type rolls were very tasty. The ice tea was really good with nice tubular ice! Cold! Lastly, restaurant and bathrooms were clean even though the place was busy and crowded. We will be going back.

We have gone to this Chili's a few times when we are in the area and have always enjoyed it. The service is great, the food is great and we don't ever have to wait very long to be seated. We will be back!Thank you for sharing. We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We hope to see you again soon!
Hippo Cafe has speedy and friendly service. We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. I ordered the Hippo Breakfast. Two eggs, pan fried potatoes, bacon or sausage, and two pancakes. I went with the French toast option. Delicious! The staff was awesome. Always kept my coffee hot and seated and served us quickly. Especially on a busy Saturday morning. They have lunch as well. Hand made meatloaf is a definite try.

Between Katy TX and Austin TX you will find this cafe. The building says Garfield Library outside. Inside you will find a quaint library and a cafe. The cafe serves salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, and meals. The sandwiches are huge and everything was very good. They say everything is fresh. Plenty of free parking and always full. Very tasty.

Won't return. Hutto is a small town and it would make sense to take care of your customers. Food was tasty but they didn't give you enough of it. Sweet pork tacos were served on tiny little tortillas with a lump of pork in the middle, I laughed when the server brought them out and asked my husband where he wanted to go for lunch knowing he would need more than that to fill him up. The real reason that I won't return is that they couldn't quite seem to get the check right. The first one wasn't mine and when they finally got it right one after some wait I added a decent tip 12 percent-ish to round it up to an even dollar amount. When i looked at the transaction on my credit card they added additional tip, no longer an even dollar amount. hmm, that kinda sucked. $35 for two tiny pork tacos, a sandwich with like 5 potato chips and 2 draft beers. There was a group in the room that i was not part of and it was just the two of us on one check so they can take their automatic 15 percent and, well you know. Small town nothing here, get out you wallet and be prepared to pay, definitely not returning, EVER.

This restaurant has been rated a top cafe by Texas Monthly, so you know it's going to be good. It's not that the food is fancy or different. It's just homestyle Texas cooking - chicken fried steak, burgers, side veggies, in an old-style country environment. The pie case looked amazing... but alas, I'm on a low-carb diet. But even I could eat well here. I had grilled chicken and side veggies and was very content. My party reported the burgers were great as well as the chopped steak and fried chicken. If you are in the area or passing by on the toll road... stop at the Texan Cafe. You'll be ever so glad.
