I had the misfortune to have this place recommended for breakfast as the hotel's kitchen was closed. I have never eaten in a Ala Carte restaurant for breakfast. I ordered bacon and eggs and a mashed potato pancake for a side dish, along with a Portuguese Muffin. It took a long time for the food to arrive at the table and it was cold. The bacon was so hard it was not edible, the eggs runny and the potato dish looked like a pile of mashed potato with different colored pieces in it. The one item edible was the Muffin which was delicious. Add to the fact the service was poor and very inattentive. The manager did remove the items from the bill but I cannot believe people actually eat there. One of the five worst restaurants I had have the misfortune to visit.

Inventive without being weird, great dishes. Appealing options for both vegetarians and others. Relaxed atmosphere, good service, and not too loud.

Iâm not sure how we picked the Elysian Cafe for lunch, but we did. On Washington St in Hoboken which is loaded with places to eat, and now the street is in major repair. Parking is available just a block away.It has to be one of the oldest bar / restaurant in Hoboken. The walls, ceilings and bar look original. The dinning tables look original to. But the feel is very laid back with an efficient wait staff. The lunch menu is absolutely my kind of food. I wanted to order everything! When another customer was brought their order I wanted that to.Eat here !

Let me explain. Not too many (positive) reviews have a title that includes the word 'vomit'. But this is no ordinary establishment--- it is a character pub with over two dozen craft beers on tap. 'Unicorn Vomit' was the most alcoholic of these options, an imperial IPA coming in near 12%-- and yet deceptive in that it was so quaffable. I had invited an old friend, and we were mostly there for conversation; we had been pacing ourselves over several hours, and we sampled the cheese and meat board, which complemented the beer well--particularly the aged gouda. But when we ordered small glasses of the Unicorn Vomit, we were overjoyed with the smooth, slightly tropical-tasting drink: a tremendous way to end the evening. The clientele was convivial, and the 'tenders were quick and helpful. A very happy bar!

Canât fault anything.Mussels were extremely good. Nice size and the variety of cook in flavors were really excellent. Had the Thai mussels and wife had the amatriciana. Both were really good and a nice portion. The broth so good, we had it after as a soup! Final part was the donuts, what a treat, beautifully fresh and fluffy. Flavors amazing. Will be back next time we are in NY.

As residents of The Roxy hotel we ate both dinner & breakfast at the Roxy Lounge. Dinner was lovely - i ate hummus & vegetable crudités & had several of the Roxy cocktail. Breakfast - bagels & cream cheese were divine!! The atmosphere in the Lounge is wonderful - there is always music - either live pianist, jazz group or a singer.Such a great place. Highly recommended.

We came here for a birthday and every aspect was unbeatable. The food was delicious, the ambiance and decor is beautiful, and the service is some of the best Iâve ever had. I could not recommend it more. We had the braised short rib with truffle potato gnocchi and the wild boar special, both incredible.
