This place is perfect for those times when you want something good but you want something different. Everything Iâve eaten there has been fantastic and NOT normal...lol Anyone that hasnât tried this place yet truly is missing out.
This place is so popular it sometimes overwhelms the staff. The food is quite good, all prepared to order. Everything inside was clean, the staff friendly, and they have amazing pies. Plenty of seating. Their Facebook site shows photos and hours. When you finish shopping, you can pick up your basic grocery items -- and bait! It's definitely off the beaten path, but if you're out for a drive near the Longview airport, stop on by.
This little Bistro is such a great place to eat! The food is immaculate and the staff is so friendly it just makes you feel so good! I visit this Bistro every time I am in this area! I always look forward to eating here! Thanks!

Went to grab a bite after football halftime. Walked in at 930pm walked out at 1030 and no meal. We did however get some yellow lettuce and water, ok there was some green. After 30 mins we started trying to get waitress attention to see what was going on, was told the steak had to be recooked. Ok so I ordered medium rare, so a ribeye is about 10 min tops, but wait what about the pork chop, is it going to be super dry and cold now. Well in the words of the owl on tootsie roll commercial, the world may never know. At the hour mark we had to go, walked up to let a different waiter know so we could pay for water and the salads, he walks to kitchen and it's still not done, we can't even take it to go because it's still not done. My recommendation don't go! Hit the Denny's, KFC , hush puppies, chicken express (or is it Golden chick) no matter you get the point, don't do it. This isn't Nike.Thank you very much for the honest feedback during your recent visit to our establishment. I see we truly dropped the ball on this visit, and we have work to do in making sure our staff are better prepared to meet the guest expectations. I could not agree more that food should not take this long. I personally will be addressing this with my team as well as the manager that was on duty to find out why this matter was not handled better. While I know an apology is not going to make up for a poor first experience, I do hope that you will give us another chance so we can prove this was a fluke experience and certainly not the normal for our establishment.

My family and I travel to Henderson, TX every other month. When we are in town, a stop at Hershel's is always on the list. If I'm hungry, I usually have the chicken fried steak sandwich and tater tots w/vanilla malt. So, so good. My husband and daughter love their burgers. No time to eat...no problem, but we always find time for a shake or malt. Service with a smile and good prices, too.
Home style cooking buffet Steaks and breakfast served all day newly remodeled inside and out this is where the locals are
I visited the Rusty Star Cafe twice while in Henderson for the Heritage Festival. The decor is clean, plain and open, with lots of tables and booths and signs advertising local businesses high on the walls. My first stop was a late lunch where I had a very good club sandwich with chips and a drink for about $10. Breakfast two days later was a good, standard country cafe breakfast, but a little greasy. Friendly staff, fast service. Thanks for the feedback I read and listen to every one so that we can improve where we need to , Hope to see you soon! Rusty

We were traveling thru Henderson and stopped here for lunch on a Wednesday because there was ample parking and swing space for our travel trailer. It was busy, but able to place order quickly. This is an order-at-the-counter restaurant. The Mel-Man Sandwich caught my eye - chopped beef and sliced hot link - fantastic combo. VERY GOOD! Tempted to have another, but the one was really filling!BBQ sauce was VERY GOOD!Near the drink dispensers in the dining room, the containers of BBQ sauces are kept in a crockpot full of water in order to keep the sauce warm. GREAT IDEA! Lots of TVs displaying FOX NEWS, if you need to catch up on the latest news!

Cotton Patch Cafe is a Texas-inspired, home-style restaurant serving Southern classics. Famous for its Chicken Fried Steak, Crispy Fried Catfish and other specials like the King Ranch Chicken Casserole, and homemade Chicken and Dumplings. Don't forget abo
We had lunch at Cotton Patch and the food and service was absolutely wonderful. The chicken Fried Steak with gravy is fabulous. All the side dishes were delicious and cooked perfectly (Mash Potatoes, Corn, etc.). The fresh hot bread while you wait is a nice touch as well!

Hush puppies all you can eat catfish is a bargain and delicious... pintos, coleslaw & and the hush puppies are already good. Some times the slaw is spicy than others but thatâs the homemade side of their food. Drinks are served in one quart mason jars ... expect a crowd at prime dinner time...
