We heard of this restaurant from another vacationing couple. Plenty of choices in the menu. No frills ambiance but the food portions are huge - you might want to share an entree. Waitress was really friendly. We would go back the next time we are in the area.

5* lake view from huge covered terrace3* food; the food is not gourmet, but the ingredients are fresh and the food is good enoughFor lunch, I ordered the salad that came with cheddar cheese, walnuts and sweet sliced apples. The Riesling dressing went well with the salad.I paired the salad with their ice wine since I like sweeter wines, but I think that was a mistake. I didn't love the ice wine, and I noticed later while walking through their wine shop that the recommended wine to be paired with the salad, the semi-dry Riesling, might be a higher rated wine.

You won't be sorry going there for breakfast! Simple breakfast with eggs, bacon and home fries soooooo good! And really good coffee. And I'm really picky about my coffee. Friendly owners and staff.

Our Airbnb host recommended Toniâs for breakfast based on other guestsâ experiences. We missed breakfast the first day we went, but had an excellent lunch. The service was great. We went back the next two days early enough for breakfast and were not disappointed. The corned beef hash was excellent. The pancakes are fluffy, French toast with thick bread. And a steady flow of customers. Also, homemade hot sauces.

We had dinner here while visiting the winery and tasting room. We loved our meal. The food was excellent. My husband tried the duck and I tried the pork loin. We also tried the mussels and local cheese board. The cheeses were amazing, fresh and delicious... better than anything you can find in a local supermarket. I highly recommend!

Scale House is located near Burdett NY and overlooks Seneca lake (not Cayuga as one of the other reviews said). They serve food, beer and wine. The beer selection is OK (8-10) and reasonably broad (lager, IPA, stout, pumpkin, cider, etc). The food selection is acceptable and, although a bit pricey, is good quality. Many people were eating today. We had an appetizer ($10) and it was good. The facility is clean and bright and they are building another outdoor venue. There are places to stay on site but I haven't been inside any of them. Seating is tables with barstools but the barstools have been removed from the bar. The facility is dog friendly and you will find many people bring their dogs (on leash). Busses sometimes stop here. It is located close to other wineries, breweries, and distilleries.

This was our first visit to Scale House, located on route 414 on the east side of Seneca Lake, about 10 minutes from Watkins Glen. Nice atmosphere inside, decent choice of beers and a small food menu. We were there for lunch, so we only had pizza and beer. The pizza was very good, I recommend it. The beers were good, service was great. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. I would definitely return for lunch and try something different.

The Red Newt Bistro is a great place to stop for lunch while in the Finger Lakes. We continue a decades long tradition of working closely with local farmers to offer fresh and delicious local fare. Quick service and simple, delicious food sourced from Fin
Welcoming place for wine tasting or for a meal. Lovely setting with a nice view through the wall-to-wall windows and outside on the deck (although in summer you just barely cannot see the lake from most of the facility). Very scandinavian in feel with lots of blond wood trim & accents. We hadn't been here for a while, the menu is slightly expanded. Mostly focused on soup, salad & sandwiches, but all done very nicely with local ingredients. Plenty of gluten free choices including the griddled mac & cheese and even the very tasty french fries. Some days feature live music in the restaurant, mostly on the calmer side - piano, classical guitar, bossa nova duo's etc.

At the Stonecat, it is our belief that food is life. We feel that what people eat is the biggest mark of their culture and a reflection of how they feel about life. We like life in Hector and enjoy waking people up to vibrant, fun food that is grown organ
We recently went to the Stonecat Cafe on a recommendation from a local winery we visited. We couldnât have been more pleased. The food was truly Farm to table and wonderful. I had the Halibut special and my wife had the Duck special. Cooked to perfection and tasted great. The service was top notch and the ambiance on the porch made it a very special evening indeed. We had a gorgeous sunset the night we visited.
