My husband and I stopped here because we could see the locals liked it. They were busy but not so hurried in order to welcome you and talk. We received excellent service and a breakfast meal second to none. Eggs were cooked as we asked and the fresh baked bread was a bonus to our enjoyment. Yes we went for another breakfast and will go again when we visit. Recommend it for folks who enjoy breakfast like your Mom served.

We met friends for lunch and all but one ordered bbq. Everyone's plate was cleaned when we were done. The brisket and sausage sandwich was great and so was the pulled pork sandwich. The blueberry lemonade was very refreshing and the blueberry pie and blueberry ice cream was the perfect ending. Do not miss this place.

Been awhile since we were in the area, so happy to make a return visit. Saw big changes, all for the better. Have added an outside covered area, new picnic tables and restroom. We were headed there for their crab rolls but noticed haddock burgers on the menu. Love haddock so wanted to try it. It was so delicious. The bun was fresh, two pieces of fish, served with Cole slaw, fried and tartar sauce. Everything looked clean and fresh.
This restaurant is no longer in business. It is very apparent that they have been out of business for several months. This location has seen restaurants come and go. The facility is very small and can only accommodate a e 40 people.

Wow. I only did take-out, but the Seafood Lasagne was excellent. And the Blueberry Pie was to die for! I liked it so much that I bought a whole pie to bring home.

Enjoyable dinner. Tried their "award winning" boneless chicken wings which were very good appetizer, enough to share. Ribs were ordered by several in our group and they enjoyed. Fish and chips, unfortunately one in our group prefers the "beer battered" vs flour base. All in all we were very happy with our dining experience. Nice presentations.

[8/12] I have been enjoying breakfast with visiting family & local friends for years here at Chester Pike's Galley along Rt. 1 in Sullivan Maine. Their 'Fisherman's Breakfast' is such a tasty deal...a hearty breakfast of 2 of everything (eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc.) at a reasonable price...everything here is a good value. They open early (6am) and are usually crowded, which really is a sign of how good they are (I don't think they take reservations -- just wait a while and a table will open up). They close after lunch, so going for lunch during the weekdays (all day menu, so you can order your Fisherman's Breakfast anytime for around $9.99) would be ideal to avoid the rush of the breakfast crowd. There is wheelchair accessible parking available as well as a ramp up to the restaurant. The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, but it is narrow enough that you can press against the walls to try to hold yourself up if you need. Super nice staff, delicious food, so well priced...no wonder Chester Pike's Galley is so popular, because it is such a deal (they also sell works from local artists, take a look around). Enjoy and keep going back when you are in the area, your taste buds will thank you.

This seafood specialty restaurant has many dishes to suit every type and size of appetite. If you have never been to Maine or Ruth & Wimpy's before, try anything and everything lobster (truly their signature dish...they boil it when you buy it)...and...their steamed clams w/melted butter...or ANY of the wide variety of beef, chicken, soup, salads, pasta dishes...you name it or think of it, and they probably have it. Closed on Sundays (dammit!) they open at 2pm daily, and offer local cuisine to those who wish to experience the many delightful tastes of the "Down East" region of Maine. Located along Rt. 1 in Hancock, Maine, Ruth & Wimpy's is a local favorite that is also loved by tourists alike. My family & friends have been coming here for years, each summer that we visit Winter Harbor Maine (the lesser known Acadia National Park) and drive between Winter Harbor & Bar Harbor (the more known Acadia National Park), we stop at Ruth & Wimpy's for lunch (& Chester Pike's Galley on Rt. 1 in Sullivan, for breakfast)...it is a 'Must Go To'. Enjoy your experience with family & friends, and take home delicious memories! :-D

Lively atmosphere that felt welcoming. We had excellent food here and were disappointed when we discovered they were closed Mondays and Tuesdays. But the owner recommended other area restaurants, which were good. Nice variety of dishes, with reasonably priced drinks, wine and food. Looks like a place the locals frequent as well as visitors. Recommended!

I am rating this as a hotel, not a restaurant, because I stayed here but only ate the (excellent) breakfast that comes with the room rate. I didnât get to eat dinner here, though people rave about it. And as a hotel, i rate it at five stars because it achieves what it sets out to be perfectly. It makes no attempt to be a complete full service hotel. There are no tvs in the room, for instance. And the rooms are somewhat small. But they are very comfortable, the service is extraordinary, the atmosphere could not be warmer or more welcoming. A very comfortable public sitting room in the main floor is terrific fo lounging. You feel here as if you are a loved guest in someoneâs home. The location is stunningly beautiful too. A real treasure. They do have free wi-fi.
