Went with a group of DePauw Alum on Sunday morning! The outside looks a little like it is closed, but IT IS NOT! The inside is just as I remember it. Stone fireplaces, long tables and friendly, happy servers and best of all Good Food! The cinnamon buns are STILL there. The coffee is good. There were ten of us so we ran the gambit of a breakfast order. Biscuits and gravy, eggs 6 different ways, bacon, sausage, pancakes. All were good, hot and quick. I only wish we could have stayed for burgers and lunch and cream shakes. My waistline is probably better off, but oh well. Still a great place and YES. IT IS OPEN!
Made our first visit today, a very busy Memorial Day. Had a short wait since every table was full but it was well worth it.The Omelets we had were spot on. Wife had a veggie omelet with hash browns and toast. I had the Farmers Market, hash browns and toast. Tasty, filling food and excellent service were the norm today. Even with the crowd our waitress hept our coffee filled and checked back often to see if everything was OK. Total price for two omelettes and coffee was just at $20 with tax. Not bad at all for the quantity and especially the quality of the food.As we left my Wife spotted some strawberry waffles with whipped cream being served.. Said thats what my next order will be.. So looking forward to another trip here.

Longtime customer_ the building may not be much to look at but the walls are lined with photos of customers traveling w "Marvins Delivers" signs, but more importantly, the food is amazing. A Greencastle staple, and my favorite, is a GCB (Garlic Cheese Burger) with cheese fries. Highly recommended... but they also have an extensive menu, from pizza to wet burritos.

The Duck is well situated for small and larger groups, in the inside bar, outside under sunshades and inside along the hallway between dining facilities. I especially liked my most recent visit to the hallway bar, because the casual seating, the fireplace and the bartender who made good verbal and visual contact all produced a nice ambience where good conversation and coviviality could flourish. If you're in Greencastle looking for a place for group interaction, I'd highly recommend parking across the street and coming over to the Duck. We are so glad you enjoyed your visit to the Fluttering Duck! We've been working on the fireplace area outside the Duck to make it an inviting place for casual gatherings--and we are fortunate to have bartenders who make the customers feel at ease. Thank you for letting us know and for recommending the Duck to others!!

Awesome Food, Excellent Service and Meal Choices. Mama Nunz's Italian Steakhouse is 8 miles north of Interstate 70, a 12 minute drive and well worth it. Don't be deterred by the buildings exterior, the interior is clean, cozy with ecliptic decor. Menu items to satisfy everyone. The salad dressings and sauces are homemade and fresh. We had a dinner salad and a Garlic Chicken wrap. Fresh, flavorful and excellent quality. Highly recommend âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Wasser is German for water. While beer is 95% water, it is more than that. Likewise, the Wasser Brewing Co. is a brewery, but more than that. Wasser Brewing Company is a independently owned craft brewery and brewpub in Greencastle, Indiana. We have a comf
The family ate here for supper. Our waiter couldnât do enough for us and anticipated our needs. No food complaints and my Scotch Egg and fish and chips were great. Left with a growler of blonde ale to enjoy later.

The Putnam Inn- famous for its Broasted Chicken served up fresh since 1972! For three decades, people have enjoyed home-style meals at this family-owned and operated Greencastle eatery with friends and family.
Three good things about our visit: 1--I got to see some relatives that I haven't seen for about 3-4 years; 2--our server (Lindsey or Leslie--can't remember) was wonderful!!! She kept our plates cleared and our drinks filled and always had a smile!!; 3--the entire staff was friendly & courteous. But, those are about the ONLY good things about the visit! The food from the buffet was, for the most part, fresh and mildly tasty, but all of the hot food was only lukewarm. The tenderloin sandwich that one person ordered was very large but, according to that person, it was very dry. The country fried steak that someone else in our group ordered was SO tough, it could hardly be cut. The desserts from the buffet were good, and that's what saved the meal. The WORST thing... the women's restroom is GROSS!!! Dirty, smelly, and the one door on the one stall doesn't have a lock on it!!! I recommend using the restroom in the gas station across the street from the restaurant!!$100 for 7 people is not a bad price but, even if it was free, we won't be back!

I love the atmosphere of Bridges! Although I don't eat pasta often, their spaghetti and meatballs are worth it! They let you try the wines that they have on tap. Although I think spaghetti & wine are fabulous, it is not cheap. Great destination for a celebration!

One of my go-to favorite places for lunch. Offer multiple options in breads, cheeses, meats, etc. I've Never been disappointed in a deli sandwich made fresh from Myers Market. They also offer a selection of meat cuts from locally sourced live-stock. Some of my favorite treats offered are chocolate covered espresso beans, chocolate covered Albanese gummie bears, and Triple X Root Beer.
