This place misses the mark in every conceivable way. The menu is unlike every other barbecue place I have ever visited. The menu is disjointed. Typically you can order one or two meats with a couple of sides. Not here. I had the kielbasa sandwich which came out with a burned bun. It was returned and came back with a stale bun. The waitress thought the kielbasa was not house made and it showed. The requested lean brisket was not sliced and it was not lean as requested. It also came as a pile of scraps. The one and only sauce they had was runny and tasteless. The word bland is too kind. Service was also lacking. Avoid this place. You will thank me.Wow. Not quite sure where to start with this nonsense. Besides, who orders a kielbasa at a bbq joint?! lol. The fact weâre different than most bbqâs is why weâve been so successful. Sorry we donât fit into YOUR mold guy. Not much point in convincing you otherwise, not sure weâd like you back to be honest. We have very few 1-stars, and theyâre all the same. Rude, nasty, pathetic, and slightly hilarious that people think theyâre opinion is that important. Itâs not.

The Sugar Bowl is a historic restaurant in downtown Gaylord. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the building and it is wheel chair accessible. We enjoyed the updated interior with plenty of polished walnut, historic photos, and comfortable tables. The staff was engaging and knowledgeable as our server did not make us wait too long.If there was anything lacking it was the menu. We came for lunch and thought the choices were lacking and the prices elevated. We both ordered something different - the meatloaf special for me. We agreed that the food was tasty but the presentation was lacking. Lunches do not come with sides such as fries, vegetable, or salad. Your food looks like it was plopped on a plain white plate. Even some garnish would make the dishes look less lonely. The kitchen needs to step it up a notch to keep up with a nice dining facility.

One person was running the restaurant. She was bussing tables, taking orders, delivering food, and cashiering. Too much to do for one person and so it was not done well. It was hard to find a clean table and though many were empty, people stood around until one got cleaned. She was helpful in finding us a meal to share and the food was okay though I donât think the portion was really shareable. The thing that bothered me was that she was reluctant to give us our beverage refill in a to go cup. Usually they charged for that. We did get it without a charge. There are other places to eat in Gaylord and we will try one of them next time.

Timothy's is the quintessential north woods pub and restaurant....it could be in northern Michigan, or Northern Wisconsin, or Northern Minnesota, but not in Georgia, or Texas or California......Dark, homey, pool table, games, TV's a big bar where regulars sit, booths, tables, sturdy chairs.....We went here for lunch before golf. The menu has burgers, salads, a few entrees, and sandwiches......it was torn between the French Dip and the Prime Rib sandwich, and when told that they roast and sell prime rib every day of the week, i went with the PR sandwich. Wife the same.I ordered it medium rare, and that is how it came.....at least a 12 in piece of beef, laying on toast, with piping hot, crisp fries, and au jus. It was wonderful! $12.95!!We also had good, but not great French Onion Soup.Loved this place! We miss this sort of pub in Tennessee.

They have recently moved from the other side of the street to this very nice location serving the best in quality and at a very resonable price. Recently added beer, wine and mixed drinks to the fair and serves the best breakfast and lunch in Michigan.
I hadn't been to Diana's in ages. I remembered a big, huge breakfast. Instead I got an average omelet (the feta/spinach) with only a so-so croissant in accompaniment. (If you are going to do a croissant, make it a good one.) My dining companions had salads and they looked fine. Not great, but fine. Service was just awful. Slow (not that busy; we met at 1) and not all that friendly, either. I was disappointed.

Having eaten here several years ago; we stopped in once again, for an early dinner. Not much has changed; the interior still reflects a sports themed local tavern/eatery. After seating ourselves as the sign indicated, we eventually had to find a server and let them know we were there. Our server, Cristy, was friendly and intermittently attentive. The baked cod loins and fish tacos were both decent; with the side onion rings pretty good, and the baked beans very good. The best part of the meal was the white chicken chili soup; very tasty and flavorful. All and all, this facility is a decent enough option for having a good meal.

Went here based on the recommendations and their menu viewed online. Great salad bar and buffet! Everyone in our party liked what they got. We will be adding this restaurant to our stops when weâre in the area again!

Driving up from mid-north Indiana, and being somewhat hungry; we headed for our favorite restaurant from our last visit to Gaylord. Memories of their great turkey dinners in mind, we were not disappointed. The facility has a local family restaurant atmosphere; with interesting posters, etc. on the ceiling, to capture one's interest.Look quickly though, because one's order is delivered quite rapidly. Our server, Shena, was friendly and attentive. We both had turkey dinners; and once again it felt like Thanksgiving. The turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and biscuits were all wonderful. Even the gravy was great (and I'm not a great gravy fan). There was only one disappointment. After a 6 1/2 hr drive; we missed the last piece of raspberry cream pie by only minutes. (Hopefully, before we leave town, another one will appear). We did end the meal splitting a piece of the Millionaire's pie...not a bad choice in of itself. We really can't see visiting Gaylord without one or two meals here.

The most highly rated restaurant in Gaylord and displaying a varied, upmarket menu. We went as family and I was optimistic. I had an appetizer and a main dish, the former a crab Rangoon, which was tasty, and the main, lobster on flatbread. The latter turned out to be a flatbread pizza of sorts, the lobster submerged by cheese. Not what I expected. It wasnât bad exactly but not the treat I thought it might be. Oddly we all sensed a strong odor near our table near the front guard. At first we thought it was coming from a bathroom, but then concluded it was cleaning fluid. It persisted. Our waitress was marvelous. Thank you for the feedback and kind rating! If at any time you have concerns, please let your server or management know right away and we'll be happy to address them for you. We look forward to serving you again soon.
