my favorite french restaurant in the hudson valley. quiet and out of the way, this little restaurant is a hidden gem. authentic french cuisine with owner and chef straight from france. you will enjoy the atmosphere and the staff, for they make the experience even that much better. this is a fine dining establishment so if you are in a rush, this is not your place.from appetizers to desert you will not be disappointed.

This order-at-the-counter establishment offers interesting food choices with high flavor profiles, but I just didnât think it was so great tasting. I had the Mediterranean Carrot Soup, which tasted like curry, with a half smoked turkey/avocado/chipotle sauce panini that was pretty good but had more heat than Iâd like, and the potato salad that was tasty with nice grill marks on the potato slices and a good sauce, not your ordinary mayo or vinegar. My husband had the duck leg confit and said it was salty.

Whether you're looking for a place to gather with friends, or a romantic cozy setting, Nu Cavu is the perfect place. Come sit by the fire in our large rustic dining room, or enjoy the sunset on our beautiful patio.
I stopped in for a couple of beers and appetizers. I had the mussels and steamed clams. The clams and steamers were cooked to perfection. They give you very large portions. The NU CAVU has a dining area, outside area and a full bar. There is something here for everyone. You can also see the airport runway and an occasional airplane or helicopter.

Located on the main street in downtown New Paltz, in an historic old building that's been redone and expanded while still retaining a cozy pub vibe. Great food and beer in a sports bar, pub setting. Extensive menu, from sandwiches, burgers, dinner entrees, nice appetizers, salads. Entrees run the gamut from steaks, pasta, seafood, chicken - great selection. Nice beer, wine, and cocktail selections. Large portions, couldn't eat it all and they happily provided take home containers. Our server was very friendly and professional. Second visit, and we'll return if ever in New Paltz again.

A delightful setting, professional servers. Food took a LONG time to come out, but when it did it was fresh and delicious. The potato leek soup was first rate and salads locally sourced.

Good hearty offerings and delightful service. Second time that we went on a Saturday at about noon and found a line to be seated, and a long wait for the kitchen to complete the order. Nice local feel to this place. Comfortable, but not fancy. Worth the stop which is on the path (just off RT 87) from the Adirondacks to NYC.

Driving up to this spot,do not be taken off by the plain exterior. BBQ was VG. I had the BBQ sampler. Ribs & smoked wings were a 5,cooked perfectly.Brisket and pulled pork were a 3.5 to 4. Brisket was very lean and not quite the style I prefer, the gravy was an odd choice for me....but not bad. Pulled pork w/ slaw was also good. Corn bread was vg but cold...would have been better warm. The bbq sauce & vinegar based were vg.A nice line of beer taps. Nice little meat market and selection of frozen, natural meats.Owner was pleasant and the place was active. Service was good.If you are in the New Paltz area, recommended. We will be back again.

Casual and family dining with outdoor seating. Our breakfast and lunch menu includes build your own omelets, great coffee, fresh baked goods and many locally-sourced ingredients and products from right here in Gardiner. Lunch is wholesome and delicious.
We had lunch on a weekday to start a short vacation in town. This is a combination bakery, grocery, coffee and restaurant and based on our experience it's all good. The chips were a little over seasoned for my taste but otherwise quite tasty. All the food seemed very fresh and well prepared. Friendly staff eager to help. Would definitely recommend and go again.

We offer small plates that can be NOSH or stacked up to make a delicious meal. All food and drinks are as local as possible depending on seasonality and availability. Menu changes daily but will have certain popular main stays.
If you like unique cocktails, this is the place for you. Zoli and staff can offer you plenty of interesting menu options, but youâll be impressed with his mixology talents if you just pick a liquor you like to get him started.Donât be afraid to bring the kids. The food is very good and he can offer plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, including his famous color changing lemonade. This is a relaxed atmosphere, so donât expect the bar to be spitting out rail drinks by the fist full. Go when youâre not in a rush and enjoy the show at the bar.

We have been here several times after a bike ride on the rails-to trails bike path that starts in Gardiner. We've just had BLTs, which were huge and excellent and came with a equally huge pile of greens. The beer list, which I didn't have the opportunity to sample, was extraordinary.
