Considering the lack of open and operating food destinations in this small city, this is one of the best. The service was A-1, made the sandwich exactly as requested, it was Delicious. They do not have all the bread choices I am used to seeing in an independant Subway but what I had was acceptable. I believe it was "Josh" who masterfully created my perfect sandwich. Good Job!

We are a locally owned family restaurant located in downtown Redway. We serve French style paninis, salads, sandwiches, and soups made with organic and local ingredients. We have a full juice, smoothie, and wheat grass bar, and we serve beer and wine. Com
My family stopped for lunch at The Lost Frenchman on our roadtrip through Northern California. Everyone felt like pizza and this place didnât disappoint. We had one basic pie, cheese and pepperoni, which was yummy, and we had the NorCal, which was the bomb! Lovely explosion of flavors, spicy, the cilantro was awesome, it sounded possibly too weird to be delicious but it was amazing. Weâre from Chicago so we know good pizza. :-) The food came out quickly, and you can watch the pizza guys throw and twirl the dough into perfect pizza crusts. The menu is extensive - sandwiches, apps, salads, etc., we wish we had time to sample more as Iâm sure everything would be yummy. The herb-flavored water was another great touch - it was lemon and basil and it was a perfect complement to our pizzas. All 5 of us give The Lost Frenchman 5 gold stars. :-)

Was working in Garberville (about 5 miles away) this week and asked the locals where to get a good burger. Deb's was their recommendation. It's a cool, retro place. Service at the counter was friendly and fast. It's not fast food, so be prepared to wait a little bit while they make your food. The burger was big and tasty, and the fries were crispy and really good. The portions were enormous. You won't leave hungry. About $ 15 without a drink,
We were passing through town and looking to just buy a good sandwich to take away. Someone recommended Amillia's and so it proved. Freshly made in front of us and delicious. Thanks.

Large portions, food tasty. cafe style. I can recommend the Taco Salad - very good with plenty of assorted salad and olives.

After driving through the Chandelier Tree, we headed for the Avenue of Giants. We arrived in Garberville, spotted the Eel River Cafe and decided to have lunch. It turned out to be a fun and authentic small town coffee shop, complete with a lunch counter and a cool, very pleasant waitress. She kindly gave us directions to where we wanted to go next. To our surprise the menu featured grass-fed organic beef and lots of other fresh, local ingredients. My husband had a very good hamburger and my BLT was also delicious.

After a tasty breakfast in a pleasant environment with friendly service, I accidentally did not get my credit card back. When I called to see if it was there and ask them to destroy it, they offered to mail it to me instead...much appreciated!

All organic produce with carnivorous, omnivorous, vegetarian and vegan options. Gluten free choices, Made to Order Organic Juices and Smoothies. A Humboldt County tradition since 1977.
Driving 101, hungry, getting late at night, limited choice of places to stop. By luck, drove past Woodrose Cafe, and as it was on our side of the street, and there was easy pull-in parking, decided to get dinner here.Woodrose Cafe is now going to be our place to stop when we're on 101. We had the golden chicken, which was a large helping of delicious chicken with creamy, bacon-y sauce. The apple pie was good, but not great, as it didn't have enough apple filling to suit me.Service was delightful and attentive. Nice, friendly, comfortable vibe.

Iâm giving this a 3 bc the wait staff was excellent but the food deserved a 2 or less. My husband ordered the Cioppino and it was so freaking spicy he couldnât eat it and gave him a stomach ache from what he did eat. It was like seriously spicy. That is not what Cioppino is supposed to be. The dish I ordered I didnât like but that isnât on the kitchen its on me.

We were staying at an inn down the road but found their prices a little steep, so we decided to try Cecil's. It was SO worth the several mile drive that we went back the second night. Fresh ingredients, creative menu choices, attentive wait staff, and a casual ambience. Reasonable wine list, many by-the-glass. Nightly specials add to a varied menu. It's definitely a winner all 'round!
