I had lunch recently at the recommendation of my daughter. Arriving just before lunch hour, service was quick and the food delivered to my table in short order.I had the chicken and steak combo; both meats were tender and flavorful, the veggies crunchy, and the sides of sweet carrots and fried rice were both very good.By the time I had left, a couple of dozen customers had come in for takeout orders, and another six-eight tables had filled up. All this speaks well for the restaurant - busy and consistent lunch orders.

Only through July the summer special of Ice Tea Ribs either sweet or hot are absolutely mouth watering. I did not order them but tasted DH's and he was lucky to have any left for himself. Upon arriving back home, I immediately ordered these ribs again but some for myself versus what I had in Fuquay (Salmon ...good but not like these ribs). Why do good things come to an end? Have always tried to determine why any business only carries their best food for a certain period of time each year. Tender and I am not normally a red meat eater if that tells you how good they are.

Accommodating and friendly staff. Manager table touches that you would expect at a fine dining establishment. Small menu but that is best if you can execute - and they do: perfectly cooked, well seasoned scallops, tender-spicy curry chicken with a slaw to balance the heat and Brussels Sprouts with plenty of bacon and flavor. We donât drink beer (which had tempting options) but we did have wine - not many choices but enough to get by. We will definitely try different dishes on our next visit as well some of the interesting specialty cocktails. Donât go if you want cheap - they prove that you get what you pay for. A must try.

Dined here on a Friday evening and found it easy to find a table and quick service. Our food choices arrived hot and fresh and tasted excellent. We highly recommend the burnt ends. Service was friendly and prices were quite reasonable. Decor looked nice and the place was very clean. Would definitely return.

After hearing about a buffet of good home cooking, I visited with my daughter for lunch. The food was average to below, quantities were good and the fried stood above the rest as fantastic! The atmosphere could use a lot of improvement...

Breakfast and lunch is what we do. Family friendly is who we are!
I was a member of a party of five and only one hair was detected. That is not to say there were no more, just that only one was visible atop the mound of eggs. The diner who received this gift was not interested in causing a scene so plucked off the offending thread and proceeded with his meal. As for myself-I was disgusted by it as the hair in mine (if there was one) was probably shrouded beneath the eggs or attached to the underside of the toast. I could continue on this, but will switch to a more positive review of the service which was fairly quick and efficient and the taste of the offering which was fine.Hello, thank you for your feedback and we are so sorry that this happened. We will definitely share your feedback with our team, as we want to make sure we are offering our guests the best service and experience as possible. If you would like to share your concerns further, we ask that you contact us at [email protected]. We do hope you will come back and give us another chance to improve your impression of us.

There are so many dishes which are good here. The Shrimp and grits, the sliders (each one a different meat!) and the hand-cut fries are just a few of the things I enjoy about this place. Dessert is pretty special as well. If you have not tried this - give it a whirl... you will not regret it!

We had a party of 8 to celebrate my dad's birthday on a Sunday for a noon lunch. We were sat quickly and a waitress promptly came to take our drink order. She was rudely interrupted by another waitress saying our table was hers and not the current waitress'. The second waitress even went to the hostess stand to tattle on the first waitress. It was very obvious she did this and made our whole table feel awkward. When all was said and done with, we kept the first waitress. Once our food order was placed, we waited OVER AN HOUR for our food to arrive. At one point, I looked around the restaurant to see only one of about 20 tables actually eating. All of the other tables were also waiting on food. When our food finally came, they tried to take it to 3 other tables before ours. The food was pretty good, and that is why I rate this experience as poor despite some of the food being room temperature. When it came time for the checks, the waitress asked how to split the bill, and we told her. She seemed to understand, but when she brought the "check" it was all on one receipt. Then she asked me to circle who/what would be on each of the three checks. Ridiculous! The whole experience was disappointing for such a staple in Fuquay Varina.
