After a lousy two hours wasted at Ridgeline we drove down the street and found foggy rock. Upon arrival the host was very sweet and really really nice and we had almost immediate seating then after sitting our waitress was just as sweet definitely a wonderful afternoon there the food was awesome but the staff was over the top very friendly and very knowledgeable and just wonderful to be around a great ending to kind of sour day. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and great service. As you can see I am a senior advisor on TripAdvisor and I call it like I see it also not many times in life I find a restaurant that deserves a 10 star review. Thank yâall for a wonderful experience. Thank you. We are happy to hear our employees made you feel welcome. Hope youâll stop in again.

The Best Cellar Restaurant in Blowing Rock, North Carolina was established in 1975. The original location was in a basement on Main Street, where previous owners sold soups, sandwiches and new and used books. The name was derived from the fact that the re
Visited here with 2 friends. The atmosphere is great both inside and out. They happened to have live entertainment outside which was nice. Steaks were great and salads were fresh with delicious salad dressings. We also had the appetizer sampler which included oysters Rockefeller and they were delicious along with the crab cakes ! The wine list was quite extensive ! Would definitely go back !

A fun casual restaurant near the Hampton Inn. We had a drink at the bar while we waited for a table. Very reasonable, good food. My husband had the Baby Back Ribs & I had the Jerk Chicken tacos. Very enjoyable & attentive staff.

A nice local gentlemen we met while hiking today said this was his wife's favorite restaurant. And that it had a lot of charm. I was glad that we changed our lunch plans to go here. We sat on the back porch and had all the greenery right outside our window. A very good and attentive server was very gracious when we said we wanted to share a salad and a burger. The casa de ensalada was delicious and the Habi Burger had just enough bite and a great flavor to make it well worth while.

Our first trip to the Gamekeeper Restaurant was wonderful.Lovely mountain setting with valet parking....soft jazz music, excellent cocktails, perfect wait staff and delicious meals presented perfectly. Hubby had the tender bison and I enjoyed the mountain trout...both excellent. Good bread pudding for dessert..a little on the sweet side for me, but my husband said...mmmm, so good !We left feeling well cared for and relaxed !

My husband and I decided on Over Yonder for our 40th anniversary dinner while traveling through the Boone area. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was clean, the staff were efficient and friendly, the food was delicious and came to the table hot (a plus for me). He enjoyed the mountain rainbow trout and I ordered the tomato cobbler with blt salad. Both were absolutely divine! The small gift shop beside the restaurant is also nice to walk through after dinner. Reservations are recommended, but they will take call ahead seating on the covered porch if the weather permits. If you are just looking for a nice meal or a place to celebrate a special occasion, I certainly recommend you give Over Yonder a try if you are in the area.

This was our best dinning experience in a while and definitely the best restaurant in the greater Banner Elk area. We started with salted beats and fresh greens salad appetizers. Plating was artistic and both dishes delivered explosion of flavors. We ended up ordered salmon and duck for entrees. Duck was unusually flavorful and crispy. Salmon had nice crisp on outside, yet was amazingly flaky and buttery. Food portions were moderate, enough to enjoy the food without belly aching. My wife had a nice glass of Pinot noir. The service was extremely professional, yet very friendly. Valet parking was a nice touch. This place is must experience for every âfoodyâ. We will be back.

We like RO restaurant. Itâs a local Boone restaurant and they make good food. We like the sandwiches and on Wednesday that have a âkids eat freeâ day. We have had many good meals here. If visiting the High Country, stay away from the chain restaurants like Chiliâs & Applebeeâs...You know they arenât good. Spend your money on real food and a restaurant run/owned by real Boone locals. Located close to ASU.
