Joey Harrison's River House at Southwinds Marina is the newest and best location to enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment in Forked River, NJ. We are located directly on the Forked River, off Exit 74 of the parkway. We offer patrons dock and dine slip
While it was a good restaurant when named Latitudes, it has gone way down hill since renamed Joey Harrison's River House. Sushi menu (one whole page) was not available as "the person who made it was not at work yet". We ordered the flatbread which has always looked like a pizza when ordered at other places. This was a pita bread sandwich that was dry.

Went here on a weekday night for dinner with my husband and my parents. Upon perusing the menu we were all rather surprised at the high prices! ( Longhorn is a far better value. ). Anyhow, waitress came over to take drink order. I ordered the house Chardonnay (6 oz). Told sorry, we're all out. So I ordered the next higher priced Chardonnay Cupcake. Waitress returned with drink order, not mine, and said sorry we're out of Cupcake. Would you like the Chardonnay that's 10.00 a glass? Hmmmm...for a chain steak house...10 bucks for a small glass of wine. I asked if I could get it at price of other wines since they were all out. Was told no. So I settled for water while others in my party enjoyed alcoholic beverages! There was a woman running around the restaurant who appeared to be the manager (owner?) but she never once came over to ask how everything was. I tried to get her attention to question how a restaurant could be out of wine. ( the waitress told me there are a lot of wine consumers in Forked River!). So then order more wine! Our meals were just ok. The crab cakes are all crab, no filler, but I had to ask for tartar and cocktail sauce. My husband had the small cut of prime rib. He had to ask for the horseradish sauce. He said it was good but remembers it being tastier, better seasoned. My mother had fish and chips and again had to ask for the malt vinegar. She said it was decent. My father had a pasta dish with shrimp which we all agreed was just ok. Would not recommend the pasta dishes. The salad bar offers a good selection but what's to prevent anyone from just going up to help themselves? I noticed one patron went up and took an entire plate of bread and butter for herself! No way could she have consumed all that bread! Also some customers say yes to the salad bar, then go up numerous times to get plates for people at their tables. A bit annoying, to say the least. We passed on dessert and coffee and opted to have that at home as we were pretty disappointed overall with this establishment. Maybe it's just growing pains. It would be nice if we could get a good eatery at this prime location. Seems all restaurants (Forked River House) just can't survive in this strip mall. As for chain steak houses, we will stick with Longhorn. Better and tastier food, better prices, and far nicer ambience and attentive service.

We had brunch here with 3 adults, nice interior, very friendly and efficient waitress. I had the blueberry pancakes with banana, egg whites and turkey patties, all delicious. Very good coffee and they leave the pot. This was my first trip to Perkins, we will definitely return

You should try The Lacey Diner! The staff members were friendly and helpful and the focus was on the people. There were many menu items, reasonable priced and tasty, and the food was made to order. Great choice!

At a recent visit we had the fried calamari and Maine steamer appetizers. Both were very good especially the steamers. We had sushi, prime rib, broiled seafood combo and penne vodka with shrimp. Potions are generous and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

My wife and daughter love this place. I am constantly picking up take-out. They especially love the scallops, lobster bisque soup, and cod.I am going over to pick up the Norwegian Salmon and the Parmesan Crusted-Cod.Oh, and if they don't have lobster bisque, I buy the Crab Bisque for them.

Wow! We started off with 2, scallop appetizers, cooked to perfection. My wife had a seafood dish and I had the short rib. The portions are huge! The food and the staff were excellent! The apple cheesecake was delicious! BYOB. We will definitely be back. For those that complain about the prices, understand that quality ingredients are expensive. We would also like to thank the owner for contributing to âFighting Childrenâs Cancerâ. â¤ï¸We are looking forward to returning and exploring the menu further. Thank you.

Not my first visit but haven't been here in awhile. I took my daughter for dinner on Saturday night. We started out with a banana pudding and chocolate cherry martinis which were both fabulous. I love the crackers and breadsticks with cheese dip that they serve immediately. For entrees we chose the cola rub ribeye and rack of lamb both cooked medium rare with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. Everything was perfectly cooked tender and juicy. The rack of lamb was a 9 rib rack seasoned just right. It had cabernet sauce but I also asked for mint jelly. The rib eye was melt in your mouth. The mealcomes with hot rolls and butter. For dessertwe had the tiramasu- delicious. Canât wait to go back.
