CrossRoads Grocery is the oldest, continuously run store in Gilmer County. Established in 1907, it continues to be a hub of business and social activity in the heart of "Cartecay". You will find typical convenience store items such as snacks and drinks, f
What a jem found in this little store. With all of the traffic running past to the Apple Orchards, your missing the best Deli. All homemade and fabulous. We had chicken salad, ham and other sandwiches and they all were to die for. Great friendly owners going out of their way to assist. One tip: This is a perfect place to stop and get your sandwiches and spreads to take as picnic to the nearby wineries.

If you're in search of a delicious breakfast or lunch, look no further than Corner Stone Cafe in Ellijay, Georgia. Proudly serving the community since 2006, our passion is filling your plate with delicious food and giving you a reason to smile.
One of the worst breakfasts weâve ever had. Biscuits were dry and tasteless. Patty sausage was the size of a silver dollar and tasted like cardboard. Coffee was swill water. The biscuit gravy had a very odd flavor. Hash browns were dripping in grease. This is supposed to be the apple capital of the Blue Ridge Mountains and we ordered an apple fritter that was apparently heated in the microwave, swimming in grease and soggy.

This is our second vacation to this area and weâve not been able to match our schedules with when they were open. Saturday, we finally connected. By pass the funky exterior, ignore the owners self promoting, and enjoy the food. Excellent flavor on the pork ( both ribs and pulled pork). Various styles of sauces were available on the table, but arenât needed. All the sides tasted great as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside, just a limited number of days that theyâre open.

We were short on time on a trip to Cherry Log last Friday evening and used the drive through window. The line was long, so an employee was outside waiting to take our order. The food was ready by the time we reached the window. My wife ordered a Grilled Chicken Wrap and I chose the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich. We also had a small chocolate shake and a Frosted Sunrise. Each item was as good, or better, than expected.Service was quite friendly, very helpful, and efficient. That is all we could have hoped for.

Went in with friends after church. I and another friend ordered the onion and mushroom burger. Now I've had their burgers before, and they were great. But this time both our burgers were burnt on the outside, to the point of being crispy. We didn't send them back because it took forever to get them, we figured it would take a long time again. Service is usually really good here, but that day it was terrible. Slow and not very friendly. Most of the usual servers have quit and I had never see the girl that waited on us. I usually order the chicken sandwich which is pretty good. It's a small place and parking is difficult since the outdoor store moved into the old train depot across the RR tracts.

I've been to this place multiple times. I've had the Patty Melt, French Dip and the Tavern Bear Creek Burger. All were very good but the Burger was outstanding. The only complaint I've ever had was going there on a Friday night when they had live music. The music was way too loud for my taste. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable.

This place is INCREDIBLE and shatters the myth of avoiding seafood restaurants in the mountains. Don't be fooled by its humble exterior nor down home look inside. The food here is beyond comparison AND dwarfs ANY seafood restaurant in Atlanta. The food is fresh and can be prepared in a multitude of styles (broiled, fried, grilled or blackened). Regardless of what you choose, you won't be disappointed.BTW, take advantage of the gas station store next door and buy yourself a cold beer to go with dinner.
