Everything our picky family ordered at 3 Guys was fantastic, including the friendly and professional service by Lauren. Weâve dined at restaurants all over the world and such friendly, charming service is unfortunately hard to come by even in very expensive restaurants. The food was all high quality served at a fair price and one of the best meal weâve had in Wisconsin. Highly recommended for simple, but very tasty fare served with a smile!

Lakeside restaurant with good food and wine list for dinner. Portions are large and the service and food are good. Meals could be split. Desserts are great. The "free" breakfast included with our hotel is at this place. We didn't really understand the breakfast layout on the first day and I felt the male "overseeing" the breakfast had a rather "brisk" or "curt" attitude like we were stupid for not understanding. There was a young girl who was timid but helpful. The food was the typical free breakfast found at mant hotels. Ambiance is great.

Wish I rememberd name of our waitress but fancy painted nails and middle aged gal and she was THE BEST!!! She said the owner was cooking that Wed night. The drinks and food was out so fast and we laughed telling her we weren't use to this kind of service as we had eaten at Lake Stret Cafe and food was good but service beyond terrible. Everyone liked their food and we had a wonderful experience there! Thanks Good Waitress!

In our travels, we like to make comparisons--best hotel, best restaurant, best attraction, best breakfast, best dessert. And best Eggs Benedict. I don't know what makes A better than B or C, especially when the ingredients are the same. But the Eggs Benedict prepared at Otto's Restaurant at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is the best I've had. What they do with two poached eggs, Canadian bacon, English muffins and home-made hollandaise sauce is something to rave about. Otto's is the Osthoff's casual restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace overlooking the courtyard, pond and lake or inside. My wife and I had two breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner at Otto's. Ecem, Danielle, Jakob and Amelia were very professional and personable and attentive. Jakob, a native of Colorado who plays football at nearby Lakeland College, is using his summer job to pay for his college education and prepare for a future as a teacher and high school football coach. Aside from the Eggs Benedict, we sampled several other tasty items on the menu, including a cup of chicken noodle soup, chicken wrap, double bratwurst sandwich, bowl of fresh berries, cheese curds with Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, grilled salmon, pistachio crusted walleye and grilled shrimp and oatmeal with honey and berries. And how about the dark chocolate raspberry sundae with chocolate ice cream layered with raspberries and chocolate sauce, topped with whipped cream and a raspberry?

For a town with a population of fewer than 1,000 residents, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, boasts several outstanding restaurants that cater to locals and travelers. One of the best is the Elkhart Inn. Located at 91 South Lincoln Street or Route 67, near the Osthoff Resort, it won the Top Chef People's Choice Award in 2018 and 2019. Its history began in 1886 when Una Tillman bought the land from resort owner Otto Osthoff and built a Tudor style home for herself. In 1916, it was sold and converted into a blacksmith shop. In 1935, it was transformed into a European-style restaurant with an ornate wood, hand-carved bar and wood trim that can be seen today. After three more owners, the property was sold in 1993 to Larry Knowles and Steve Thomas, who established a fine dining experience in an Old World atmosphere. Open from Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 9, the Elkhart Inn's Friday night fish fry is a popular event with perch, Dover Sole, sea scallops, swordfish and pistachio-crusted walleye on the menu. On our visit, we feasted on shrimp cocktail, three local sausages with brown ale mustard, a cheese plate, wedge salad, grilled Norwegian salmon with honey glazed carrots, Yukon mashed potatoes and lemon caper butter sauce and walleye. In Elkhart Lake, there are several dining options. But don't pass up the Elkhart Inn.

There is a homey feel to this bar. Their menu is hand written each day. I had a hamburger and steamed broccoli. They both were great. No mushy veggies here. The lightning is dim but it is a bar so not an issue. There are swings for seating in some areas as well. The bartender was also our server and did a great job holding the fort down.

The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, took a step up in exclusivity in 2005 when it added a north wing to the property. The addition space included a 100-seat restaurant, Lola's On The Lake, additional suites and guest rooms, a 10,000-square-foot conference center and the 20,000-square-foot Aspira Spa. During our recent three day stay at the Osthoff, my wife and I enjoyed two dinners at Lola's, which is located on the first floor with a patio only steps from the lake. What sets the interior apart is the cozy bar and elegant booths for two. Lexie Lou and David attended to our needs and we couldn't have been more pleased with their professional manner. Dinner at Lola's is an enjoyable fine dining experience. We had lobster bisque, Caesar salad, salmon and broccoli, grilled filet mignon with potatoes and broccoli, veal cutlets and prosciutto and flourless chocolate cake with chocolate mousse.
