We moved to the area in 1992, found Mastracchio's and have been going there ever since. Just there last week and my wife and I enjoyed a steak special and an orange roughy special and it was great. They always have a variety of great beer's on tap and also great desserts. It isn't much to look at but an evening of great friendly service and great food will make a night to remember!

Server did a great job of fulfilling my breakfast entree to be Vegan, by customizing the "veggie omelet" (of course with no eggs or cheese), served with rye bread and home fries. The only thing that could have been better, was if they plated it just like the omelet dish. The veggies came in a cereal type bowl, and was not as convienent as eating off of a plate. However, based on how I was charged separately for the veggies and home fries, the cost was actually less expensive than ordering an omelet, and I appreciated that feature. Server, Jennifer was pleasant and friendly. Would visit this establishment again for another great brealfast!Hello! Thank you for your kind review of Denny's Lennies and Jennifer. Generally always stop here for lunch or dinner when in the area. VERY reasonable pricing and the portions are quite adequate. Waitresses have always been friendly and efficient. This is well known as a local establishment. This time our family had 'breakfast' menu items as breakfast is served all day. The 'ham and eggs' menu item was huge as depicted in the attached photograph as well as the 'omelet and bacon' offering that included two large pan cakes (also shown in the photo). As mentioned, prices are quite reasonable and the food quality is generally very good (even the liver and onions menu item).

We recently visited the Stoney Creek Inn for dinner. Although it's close to home, we've only been there three or four times in the past 10 years. Prior to going, I read both the Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews and I was a little nervous about taking friends, as there were numerous comments about the poor service and attitudes of the wait staff. But we went in spite of those, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were met within a minute or so of walking in the front door and seated immediately. The waiter showed up shortly thereafter and took the drink orders. He gave us enough time to talk with our friends and decide what we were having. He took our orders and within 5 minutes or so the salads arrived. Because we were talking and eating, it may have taken longer to finish this course, and I was afraid that the entrees would be served before we finished the salads, but he waited until we were all finished with the first course before bringing the entrees.The main course was delicious. My wife and I had the Chicken Chesapeake and we couldn't have asked for a better choice. We both continually commented throughout the meal how great the food was and it really was. I am not a foodie, so don't expect me to describe the ingredients and how it was made. Take my word for it...it was good! Due to the amount of food we received, we did not opt for desert. The table was promptly cleared when we were finished eating and shortly thereafter we received the bill.All in all, I was extremely happy with our evening at the Stoney Creek Inn and hope that our experience was the norm and not a fluke. The wait staff were all attentive and competent, but not talkative. They did their jobs and we were pleased with the entire evening.

A stay at the Doyle is a tradition for Appalachian Trail hikers as they pass through Duncannon. But that's the only reason to stay--because it is a tradition. This p kg ace is a serious dump (in a kind of charming way). Common showers are pretty grimy. The only outlets in the rooms are in the overhead light fixtures. There is no air conditioning in the guest rooms. No laundry on site, but there is a coin laundry down the street. I have stayed their one (extremely hot) night so I have checked that block. I won't be back. Having said all of that, a one night stay for one person is just $25 plus tax so it's not a terrible value.

When you are on the road, and hungry, you find the most interesting place to stop. We prefer local fare and stopped for lunch. I ordered the Waffles and Chicken, highlighted as a special. Waffle was barely cooked and chicken and gravey not so special. Sorry to say that I was disappointed. I think this restaurant could be so much more. Service was excellent but not enough to change my mind about the food.

Had dinner here tonight, visiting this establishment for the first time. The staff was wonderful; so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is spacious so you have room between tables and donât bump chair backs. The menu is very diverse and the meals we ordered were cooked to perfection! If you havenât tried the Ranch House, do so. Prices are very reasonable and the servings are extremely generous.
