As of the 2010 United States Census, the town's population was 18,157, reflecting a decline of 31 (-0.2%) from the 18,188 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 3,073 (+20.3%) from the 15,115 counted in the 1990 Census. i have been going there for a couple of years. i get my "Sub Club" card punched everytime. i keep an eye on my punches that i received. a couple of weeks (around 3/15/18) i went and got my sandwich and got my card punched. i put the card on my pocket and left. i couple days later i looked at my card and there was a "hanging chad" as if the punch did not go all the way through. so the question is: was 44 punched or 44.5? should 45 have been punched? so today i went again but i took a picture of my card before i went in see attached. i had lunch and got my card punched again. the punch is unclear was this visit for #45 or #46 or will next visit...assuming there is a next visit....be 46? look at the top of the card how there are punches way off the checkered border and into the middle of the card. it almost suggests they did the same thing there.

Our waiter, Doug was great. Beers were delightful; a great selection of fresh craft beers. But the food was awful. What was listed on the menu as beef short ribs with duck fat potatoes, arrived as a chunk of tough beef with no rib bones in sight, and bland boiled potatoes. A huge disappointment; never to return. I understand from locals that the chef that created the menu moved to another restaurant. Another qualified replacement that meets his standards is due.Hi Vicky, Thank you so much for dining with us at MTG. We agree that Doug is fantastic and that our beer list is tops. We are so sorry for your experience with the food. We wanted to clarify a few points. The short rib has always been boneless. The potatoes are boiled and then sauteed with duck fat. Chef Sammy created the menu and did not leave. He is a truly fantastic chef, we agree there have been some issues but for the most part, people are very happy and complimentary towards the menu. We are so sorry the food did not meet your expectations but would like to invite you back if you will come. Please advise, thank you and have a great day

For the first time I visited the Townsquare Diner after passing this restaurant hundreds of times. It didnât disappoint. All of the Jersey classic diner fare with good service and a clean atmosphere. I had a turkey club with fries and everything was on par. My kids had pancakes and they were very good. I must note that the portions were larger than normal. Overall no complaints here and weâll be back!

We went to the restaurant, waited 30 minutes and were served our soup, one portion. Waited, waited, waited another 45 minutes and the waitress seemed to have disappeared. Finally, we decided to leave, efound our waitress who was baffled, and she got the front end manager. Both went to the kitchen, our order was not only not ready they just did not have an answer. The manager and waitress just went about their business, not concerned or have any concern about us. We left.Hello James and thank you for your review. First I must apologize for the delay in your food. Our POS system differs with the numbers you have quoted for wait times, but still much longer then what we try to achieve on a daily basis. I must however address some aspects of this review which simply need further clarification. The waitress was very attentive and had gone to your table numerous times apologizing for the delay. We even had a few other patrons that where sitting next to you that felt bad for your treatment of our server who you brought to tears. You claim that your food was not ready when you were exiting the premise but we informed your wife it was indeed ready and if she wanted to take it to-go. She denied our offer and left without paying for anything. We truly try our best to please all our customers and in return we also expect our employees to be treated respectfully. Have a nice day.

I've eaten here twice, both for lunch. The service is very nice. The food is decent but not at all remarkable. Both times I've eaten here the clientele seemed to be seniors enjoying a quiet lunch and for this it is ideal.

Great local pub, with food far above standard "pub fare". The Guinness was top shelf, as was the food, the locals at the bar, the bartender and the guy playing guitar. So glad I visited this place.
