We recently went for a late morning breakfast and ordered a waffle with banana and eggs with a country ham steak. Coffee was standard diner coffee served with the small single serve creamers and service was on point and typical of an NJ diner. As others have mentioned, the pricing of some of their foods is getting excessive. Like many, we are happy to pay up for outstanding food but this was simple food well executed. I believe the Country Ham Steak and Egg, with tomato (I substituted for toast and home fries) was $13 dollars. We don't drive up through Rt 10 often but would certainly return again but be conscience of pricing through the menu items.

My husband and I ate here for NYE early as we had tickets to a show near NYC. We were both impressed with the atmosphere and service and the food could not have been better. The hangar steak was one of the best meals my husband has ever enjoyed. I had a taste, and he was correct! Families with small well behaved children dined alongside us. Unique historic building, old world class oozing without pretense! Go!

The food is good but there isnât anything they serve that I canât make at home. They donât take reservations for the outside which is a bummer. Went a few weeks ago and wanted to sit outside but werenât able to. Nice local place. Will go back again.

While on our way to pick-up a pie for Thanksgiving we decided to stop by Carverâs for breakfast. This café has both booths and tables that can fill up fast. We were lucky and scored a booth. My wife ordered plain pancakes which turned out huge but nice and light to the taste which she really enjoyed; warmed up syrup would have made them perfect. I had the two eggs, hash browns, sausages and toast special which really filled me up. Service was reasonable considering how crowded the place was.

This restaurant's menu is a mix of foods for various dietary preferences, including gluten-free and vegan. Just be sure to doublecheck what you're ordering fits your preferences. My friend was going to get linguine and "meatballs" but when she asked, there were eggs in it. She ended up getting the Awesome Tofu, which she really liked. I had gluten-free pizza (David's Favorite), which was mediocre. I've had many other gluten-free pizzas that were better. The service was fragmented and slow. It seemed like they were having some staffing issues, though there appeared to be many servers around.

My third time visiting and still very good. Stopped by for breakfast and timed it right, no wait! The server was quick and more important the coffee was faster. I had the special corned beef hash that came with a surprise, fruit and cheese covered French toast as a side. GREAT. my companions had eggs benedict and a vege hash both very good. A little slow with the coffee refill but I recommend this place and will be back. Even better my brother in law treated !! Win Win

Missy's Main Street Cafe is a laid back Mom and Pop style cafe serving breakfast and lunch. We give you the hometown "feel" that the chain restaurants can not provide. If you are looking for a home made breakfast or lunch with a friendly, clean and laid b
Only breakfast and lunch, but that's what you need to start your day. Friendly and efficient staff makes your time well spent. A little small for space, but the food makes up for the close quarters. Eclectic atmosphere adds to the experience. But it's the food that keeps me coming back

recently reopened in 2012 after being closed due to Hurricane Irene in 2011.
We came early for lunch just after 12pm and the restaurant was nearly full. I look forward coming here, because their Lobster Rolls are delicious. As an entree it comes with sweet potatoes fries and coleslaw. My husband had blackened Swordfish with rice. We shared Key Lime pie for dessert. It was great to see Michael S, who was quite busy serving the crowded room, but still made some time for a friendly chat. On our way out we stopped at the counter to get fresh halibut for tomorrow's dinner. .
