I've tried this place twice and been underwhelmed both times. Ordering by phone from this establishment is almost impossible, the phone has to ring 500 times before they answer and then they aren't very pleasant! First visit tried the hamburger which was dry and nothing special. Second visit tried the pattie melt. The onions were burnt and the cheese tasted funny. I will not be back for a third visit.

My whole life has been spent in the southern united states, so I know good fried food when I taste it. We got the seafood combo plates. the box almost would not close from all the Fried Crispy Goodness inside. No way could we finish it all while we were there. the people seamed helpful. also patient. ( it takes my wife forever to order food.) Over all a very good experince. We will be back.

We had been given recommendations from numerous people that LongHorn was a place we needed to try. We stopped in on Friday about 5:30. We waited about five minutes for a table even though we could see most of the tables in the restaurant were empty. Once seated wait staff was friendly. My husband and I both ordered the 8 oz sirloin. My steak was one of the worst cuts of meat that I have ever been served in a restaurant. It was tough without any seasoning. Salad and bread were fine. Our waitress took my steak off of the bill. Too many good places to get steak. Not sure we will try this restaurant again.

I eat here occasionally and have always been satisfied with the food and the service. I usually have the catfish plate and have also had the crawfish etouffee, seafood gumbo, shrimp and always start with the hushpuppies. Also, the only imported seafood that I know of that they serve is tilapia and I have personally asked that they discontinue serving it. I am a big supporter of Louisiana grown seafood.

We were looking for place close to our hotel. Liked the menu online so decided to try it. Glad we did. Nice atmosphere. We were politely greeted when we entered. We sat in the bar area. Waitress was excellent. Polite, kept our drinks filled, very sweet. We had pork nachos as appetizer. For entrees my wife had steak and fries. They have their own 98 steak sauce which was very good. I had Catfish Plaquemine which was delicious. This is a nice place for anyone, family, sports enthusiast, etc. will definitely go back when in town.

A kid friendly establishment, known for tasty burgers, signature sandwiches, steaks, catfish and shrimp, Big Mike's is located near l-12 just off Range ave. in the bustling heart of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Stop in for lunch or dinner, or just to enjoy
Stopped into Mike's on a Sunday night. Restaurant was half full, but the noise from the sports bar was very loud. I had the Shrimp & Corn soup for starters. It was thick and creamy. I liked it. Unfortunately, I only took two spoons full when my Big Mike's Platter arrived. The platter consisted of Shrimp, catfish, boudin balls and served with your choice of French fries or baked potato. I got the fries. Everything on the platter was good. The shrimp and catfish were lightly battered and fried. They tasted fresh. The fries were shoestring and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed my meal and would go back.

One of my favorite things to do, when I'm in Baton Rouge, is to meet my brother at Louisiana Lagniappe for happy hour. He lives nearby and goes pretty frequently, but it's always a treat for me. Nothing quite like it where I live now!
