Great food, great service! Locally owned and operated. They have a meat & three that changes daily. My favorite is the stew beef, but my husband loves the fried chicken. The meatloaf is also AMAZING! Their appetizers are great! Try the porkskins! They serve the best burgers in town! You canât go wrong with a burger. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they offer three different gourmet specials at FANTASTIC prices! I highly recommend this restaurant!
The lady at the Darlington Raceway Museum recommended "The Pearl" for lunch. What an experience! Great food and gracious Southern hospitality. Everybody from the owner to the Police Chief to other customers made us feel welcome and invited us back. Rest assured, the next time we are in the area, we will make sure it's around lunch time so we can eat at "The Pearl." Great place and good people.
My wife and our friend had lunch at Jewel's and enjoyed our visit. Jewel's, on the square in Darlington , is open for lunch only, 11 to 2. We were seated right away and got menus. At Jewel's you write your choice on a slip of paper and the waitress collects your order. I chose the club sandwich, coleslaw, chips and tea. The sandwich was very good and had bacon, lettuce, tomato , ham and mayo. Coleslaw was also good. Service was excellent.

Tucked away at 310 South Main Street in Darlington SC, is one of the BEST local restaurants!!Nick's Barbecue House has some of the BEST Carolina style BBQ I've EVER had!!Plenty of food, great sides and delicious Southern Sweet Tea (table wine of the South).

Had many lunches there with husband and relatives for 10 + years. Though the food has mostly stayed the same very good southern cooking (except sometimes depending on the cook it is too hot with pepper which is not typical of South Carolina food) the general ambiance has changed. Since a renovation with new ceiling it is very loud when crowded. The old help used to be typical southern friendly and warm. We find the newer help haughty and unfriendly. Even the older help is less friendly. Perhaps this is due to attitude of new ownership or new management. We'll still go there to eat with family sometimes but just not expect the the old warmth.

The three of us paid another visit to the B&B. We come here every month or so because itâs a country style buffet. The food is about average or a bit better and itâs very casual. Tonight the meats were beef tips/stew, spaghetti, fish, deviled crab, fish stew (good) and clams. The veggies were typical green beans, limas, rice, etc. The salad bar was good. There were several desserts, the best being peach cobbler. Thereâs nothing fancy about this place but it is popular with locals and the food is good.

I have loved Joe's grill all my life and the semi-recent change of hands has not changed that. Hamburger steaks are delicious and tender. The staff is super friendly. The beer is cold. Their breakfast is outstanding! The Pizza burger is always a favorite!!

We like the Mayflower because the seafood is delicious, the service good and it is relatively inexpensive for the quality and quantity of the food. The oysters and large shrimp were cooked just right. The hush puppies were good, the baked potato outstanding, and the side of potato salad excellent.

The steak is amazing. Juicy and flavorful. There's a lot on the menu to choose from for such a tiny restaurant. The hamburger steak is great too. The price is very reasonable. Don't miss your opportunity to visit this hidden gem.
