My husband and I stopped in this Hardees on our way back from vacationing in TN. This Hardees in Troutville was an easy-on/easy-off pit stop along the interstate (I-81). We originally got off at this exit with the intent of going to Shoney's. But, once we stood at the hostess stand for over 10 minutes at Shoney's with no service, we decided to try this Hardees. We arrived at this Hardees just before 2PM on 7/09/2009. Once inside this Hardees, we were cheerfully greeted by our cashier, Kathleen. We ordered a plain Bacon Cheeseburger and a small Hot Ham-n-Cheese Combo with a small fries and a small coke. We were given a plastic table number and told to have a seat & that our order would be right up. We grabbed a table in the CLEAN dining room and waited for our food. Within minutes our order was out to us. All of our food was hot and tasty & just as ordered. I love Hardees Hot Ham-n-Cheese & I really love that they brought the junior sized version back to their menu!! We were both happy with our food and it was a good value at just under $6 (including tax). After eating, we decided to try the Peach shake that was advertised. My husband went back and ordered it & was back at the table within a few minutes. I was not so excited about the Peach Shake. It was really sweet--like those gummy Peach rings candy--and had an artificially flavored taste to me. My husband went back up to the window and explained that we did NOT like the artificial tasting peach shake since we thought it was going to made from fresh peaches. Kathleen was very nice and said she would give him another flavor of his choice to replace the Peach shake. He chose Chocolate and was given a new shake within a matter of minutes. I must admit that the chocolate shake was 100 times better!! With a new YUMMY shake in hand, we headed back out to the car to make our way back to the interstate.Overall, this Hardees was a great pit-stop along our trip. It was fast, convenient, clean and the food was both hot & good. The prices were decent and the service was BEYOND friendly. I would stop here again for a quick meal stop if I were traveling along I-81 through Virginia.
I really like this location at the intersection of 220 and 779. The food is good, i usually see someone I know, etc. MY big beef with it is they will not ask for your discount card or rewards card or whatever they call it. I get it out and present it before the money and they say it is too late to take it. I called the mgr. once. He said no problem, they do ask but I will remind them and if you have further problems call me. They consistently DO NOT ASK so I changed Subways after I trashed their discount card, two times. It is worthless at this location.

Service was good, food was good, but OMG check your wallet before ordering! My appetizer that I ordered for dinner came out a little cool.

Choice easy dinner on Mondays when kids eat free. Buffet ("salad bar") has lots of southern sides -- always enjoy brown beans. Soft serve and similar dessert included. Almost as inexpensive as fast food. Bustling, friendly, very casual. Plenty of parking but a bit difficult to turn in. Very convenient to exit 150B from I-81.

What a nice surprise! Riding by , pulled in, checked Trip Advisor; and had a fabulous lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food and desserts homemade! Clean place and comfortable. Will def be back when we come to Virginia. Check out the US map with push puns from all the hometowns of the visitors that have eaten there. Wish we could have dinner. Nice wine selection .

Hubby and I stopped in at Cracker Barrel for dinner. We love the fact that we can breakfast, lunch or dinner at dinner time. Hubby decided on the meatloaf - one of his favorite meals and just loved the meatloaf that Cracker Barrel serves.I went for the grilled porkchop - so good and just the right size. Really enjoyed it - so tender and paired with the fried apples - yum!!The service is always top notch and very pleasant!

Stopped here looking for a good experience and found one. My service was good drink didn't go dry and my pizza was wonderful. I ordered a fish dish that I didnt like at all and when I told the waitress she took care of it professionally and guided me to another choice that was wonderful. I'll bring my wife when she comes down, she'll be happy with the choices and wine selections.

The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this diner--it appears to have been a Huddle House or something similar at one time. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Do not judge the diner by its exterior. On the evening we were there, the clientele was a mix of locals and road warriors off I-81--both truckers and non- professional drivers of the road. In some respects, the place is like a movie set of a diner complete with a odd mix of humanity as patrons. The service staff and cooks are true professionals. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

NC-Style BBQ, Vinegar and Tomato-based Sauces. We also serve great Wings and other Apps. A variety of dinner salads, Ribs, Chicken, and we also grind our own burgers.
My wife and I were driving through the Roanoke area and found the Three Little Pigs via Yelp. Wanting more than just fast food we went there and found a clean, friendly, and efficient barbecue restaurant. The servers were helpful and quickly brought iced tea. My wife ordered tomato-based and I ordered vinegar-based barbecue sandwiches, and they were absolutely delicious with great slaw and baked beans. Near the end of lunch our server brought two more glasses of iced tea and then offered to-go cups for our journey. We canât say enough good things about this restaurant and hope the owner opens a branch in Charlotte one day.
