Iâm so glad my girlfriend suggested we eat here after another friendâs momâs funeral. Our waitress was great. I didnât get the pork belly scallops that she suggested but I couldnât have been more happy with the Cobb salad with blackened shrimp on top. It was out of this world! It seemed like they put a whole avocado on top which I loved! One of my other girlfriends got soup and salad and she said the lobster bisque was delicious. The other girlfriend got a pork chop thar had Gouda grits and the best brussels sprouts Iâve had in a long time! She let me have one. To top it off one girlfriend suggested we get drinks. She had a delicious Bahama mama and my Pain Killer was as good as the original painkillers we get in Jost Van Dyke British Virgin Islands . You have a fabulous restaurant Jeff! If Iâm in Dahlonega again I will be back !

The Crimson Moon-where the creative spirit shines... We offer organic coffee, tasty southern cuisine, a local saloon, and live music in one of the oldest buildings on the historic Dahlonega square.
Whatever goodness resides in Crimson Moon, and the word is it's quite a bit, it's not overly abundant at Breakfast. We were greeted nicely, the staff was attentive, and the Coffee was very good (something I am quite picky about), but the actual Breakfast Fare was disappointing. The wife and I both had Breakfast Burritos, and they were made nicely, but taste wise uninspired. No "there" there. Without the Salsa added (served on the side) they are quite flat. We were sadly disappointed.

Famous for our all-you-can eat family style meals. Country vegetable and fried chicken is everyone's favorite. Stay in our historic inn and visit our historic town square of Dahlonega where the first Gold Rush was located. The Smith House is locked one bl
Sit down and just wait. Theyâll bring it to you. Fried chicken perfection, pot roast that melts in your mouth with carrots and potatoes, and all the sides you would expect in a country cooking place. Donât skip the greens. Delicious. Strawberry shortcake was nothing special. Stay and eat until they have to wheel you out. Theyâll keep the food coming. Very attentive service. Make a point to visit at least once if you are in the area.

Food culture is very important to the kitchen at Le Vigne Restaurant, more specifically, local food culture. We believe that food and the sharing of food builds community, especially if the food and wine that is shared is rooted within the community. That
My wife and I have dined here at least five times this year and have always had a great experience but today was the exception. We started with an appetizer and half way through, our meal was served. My wife enjoyed her lobster entree even though it was barely warm which was true for my pasta bolognese. Our server was ok but obviously inexperienced which was my impression with the entire restaurant staff including the kitchen. If my staff observation is incorrect then they definitely have a problem. Will I go back, absolutely but not until this memory fades away. Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very sorry we did not meet your expectation. We will certainly use this opportunity to improve our service standards.

Bourbon Street Grille is situated on the beautiful Dahlonega square. Located in the historic Hall House building, Bourbon Street Grill boasts full bars and dining areas on two unique floors, which begs the question, âTop or bottom?â. The âtopâ features an
My Girl Friend and I went for dinner on a Saturday night when the weather was absolutely dreadful. Blowing rain and 50 degrees outside. There were 2 other customers in the restaurant. Unfortunately it was during Gold Rush and there was a limited menu, but we were hungry and ordered an appetizer. Crawfish dip was delicious. Then we ordered food and the service started to leave a little to be desired. I ordered a Hamburger that was delicious, but I also ordered fries which was an up charge. My food came out with chips instead. No big deal I informed the waitress and she took the chips back and said they would cook the fries. No problem Iâll eat my burger. Problem was the condiments I asked for were not with my burger and I didnât get any until my fries came out. Cold burger. I would understand this if the place was jammed and the wait staff running all over helping people, but by this time we were literally the only two people in the place. Then the icing on top was after getting our food nobody came back to check our drinks. It got so long my girl friend got up and walked to the bar to ask for another glass of wine. I would give them 5 stars if not for the service issue. The food was delicious. I ordered a beignet that had chocolate inside and it was amazing. I would love to eat here again when they have the full menu.

Stopped for lunch on the recommendation of locals Bard & Lara. I had the best fried chicken livers Iâve tasted â ever, while the rest of us had sour dough French toast, a triple stacked BLT, and chicken fried steak with a home made biscuit. Food was all perfect, service impeccable. We had to wait 20 mins to sitâ worth it. Great recommendation, will definitely be back.

Shenanigans Restaurant & Irish Pub- or simply "The Pub" to its loyal guests and staff- is the "Cheers" of Dahlonega: a welcoming place to enjoy delicious food & drinks while making friends & memories. Shenanigans is located just off the picturesque Dahlon
I never give a bad review without talking to the manager first. We've been here before and have had a very good experience so clearly a bad day. They were slammed, couldn't handle the volume and the food quality showed. Fish Ruben cold. Beyond burger essentially uncooked. Drink order took twenty minutes... twice. The manager apologized and acknowledged they could not handle the volume. I asked whether they'd considered limiting tables or explaining to customers up front that turn times would be extended and was thanked for the suggestion. We'll go back, because of prior experience, but not if they're slammed.

Now open on Dahlonega's Historic Square, Spirits Tavern is Dahlonega's newest bar and restaurant featuring gourmet burgers and specialty cocktails.
Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Finding parking was a challenge as you should always assume on a weekend in the Square. We spoke with the Hostess who informed us the wait could be as much as 30 minutes, we agreed, they took our number and we went out to browse.....8 minutes later they called, and the hostess came out looking for us. At a place that can turn people away and still make money, that's a nice touch. We were seated, got our drinks and an App order in (Fried Green Beans) and then spent a few minutes exploring the menu. There are Restaurants that have Bars in them, and then there are Bars that serve food. Spirits is clearly the later, the full sized bar was not an ornament, and the Bar Tender, even from a distance, was evidently an expert at mixology and engaging his patrons. He was a pleasure to watch ply his craft. The Green Beans arrived and were world class, perfectly fresh beans, fried perfectly and served with a Horseradish Dip that made you want to knock it back as a shooter. Being a "Bar with Food" the menu is not extensive, but what they have is well conceived, and expertly executed. The wife went with the Crab Roll and I selected the Southern Charm Burger, Medium Rare. If you're going to claim Burgers as something you're famous for, you can't blanche when the Customer says Rare or Medium Rare, Spirits didn't hesitate. You also need to know how to execute that correctly and safely, and Spirits hit a perfect 10 on that score. The Burger was neat enough to be handled, yet dressed and stacked right up to the edge of messy without actually crossing the line. It was simply put, among the best executed burgers I've ever had. The wife's Crab Roll was beautifully prepared, but she did say the crab probably wasn't going to last much longer. A fair effort on Ocean Sea Food in the Mountains of North Georgia, but the crab was not all it could be. If I was passing through Dahlonega and only had time for one meal, a Burger from Spirits would be the choice, walking away.

We called for reservations for brunch this morning and thanks to cancellations due to thunderstorms we were able to reserve a seating. I've wanted to go for brunch for some time now. The grounds and building are amazing. Tastefully decorated to accompany the beautiful mountains surrounding the winery. The view from the dining area is just beautiful. The bluegrass music by the Packway Handle band was the exclamation point on the atmosphere. Our server was attentive and pleasant. The buffet was delicious, from the tomato bisque to the ham carving station as well as the duck quiche with grits. While we were there we took a moment from our dinner to put our names on the waiting list for Easter Brunch. We'll be back on a regular basis!
