Most of the reviews were favorable, so we decided to try Family Coastal Restaurant. It was easy to get to, parking was plentiful. We were seated immediately. The restaurant isn't large, but I don't think this location gets a lot of tourists (especially not with subtropical storm Alberto around). Nice decor. My husband ordered the large seafood platter. Came with scallops (small, but plentiful), oysters, shrimp, crab cake or devilled crab and choice of one fish (grouper, flounder mullett or catfish). Also came with 2 sides and hush puppies or a roll. He had the one trip salad bar (not huge but sufficient choices) and onion rings...came with 6 big rings. He couldn't finish all the rings. Food was prepared well (all fried), hot out of the kitchen. I had the small fried shrimp (12 decently sized), light batter. Very good. Well prepared. I also had the one trip salad bar and a baked potato. Good size on the potato, but a bit dry. Not a problem. Too full for dessert. One review stated food was served family style; maybe in a different location, but not the one in Crawfordville. Would have no hesitation going back. Food was good, reasonably priced. Service very attentive.

Looking for breakfast!! This place was recommended... started with sausage gravy biscuits....( we shared both orders).. we both thought they were ok... not great but ok. The biscuit was crispy... just a sausage patty chopped up into the white gravy... gravy was a bit on the âthickâ side for me.We followed the biscuit and gravy with the hungry mans breakfast... 3 eggs... two meats and hash browns... the as pounds were the best part of the breakfast! Sausage and bacon were standard and eggs up... well they were eggs up! Everything was served hot and the servers were very attentive.

Small restaurant chain serving classic breakfast and lunch all day! Train themed decor, outstanding service, and a friendly atmosphere.
Nothing fancy, food or decor, but you can fill your stomach with a country breakfast for a small town price. Everyone is greeted as they come through the door. Any of the wait staff assisted anyone customer that needed something. Food was cooked as requested, and generous. Breakfast specials are a good deal. Nice place to grab breakfast on the way to Tallahassee from the coast.

Small, locally owned and operated restaurant with great menu offerings - everything from fresh seafood, egg rolls, salads, and pasta to burgers, pork chops, and chicken fingers. The food is fabulous and the portions are generous. Save room for a homemade dessert or get it to go - you don't want to miss it!Also, it's a small property, so call ahead for large groups, if possible.

Their phone number is 850-745-8687. They have the best chicken in town.
Call ahead for faster service in the early morning, Try their Steak, Egg and Cheese Biscuit. It is a handful of good food and reasonable priced, just what a person on the go needs for their first meal of the day.

Arriving with four other eager fishermen after a five hour drive, we were ready to eat, the place covered with signed dollar Bill's (for those who pay?) Ordering beer and oysters, both were great! I had to have gumbo. That's when things went south.( I believe restaurants serving gumbo that's not cajun style should state it!) Their gumbo was full of items but lack favors. Speaking wit the owner, it was obvious she liked her style of gumbo but if I was named "Florida's armpit gumbo" then I might have also. Asking about her steaks, she proudly stated she served "select grade beef", yes, I tried to explain beef grades. I liked this place, I'll come back for the cold beer, to sit on an old toilet around the fire pit, for the friendship, but not for the food.

Wow what an excellent dinner! The food was amazing. We never expected it to be this good and we are thrilled that we found BWs. I had the chicken fried chicken and my husband had the lemon pepper chicken I had the homemade mashed potatoes and he had a bakedsweet Potato with brown sugar topping. Both dishes came with a freshly baked honey topped biscuit and the portions were very generous and expertly prepared. I can't wait to come back to try the meatloaf dinner. It looked so good. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I have eaten their morning and afternoon buffet. The breakfast has a wide variety of choices built around scrambled eggs. Biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, grits, sausage, bacon, etc. The servers are nice and the price is reasonable for either buffet. The afternoon is built around fried chicken and fried local fish. The mashed potatoes were real and the gravy homemade. I would personally choose the afternoon Buffet.

Good Food, Good Fun and Good Friends! Come and see us today!
An unusual place to eat not because of the seafood as it was very good but a very confusing waitress coverage. I counted at least 5 different table servers depending on what we were requesting. The various servers were: leader to your table, beverage server, order taker, meal delivery to table, extra sauce request, and payment taker. Again the sea food was good except my wife's combo meal which had two sea food items but which ever you requested as to how the sea food was to be prepared but without mixing like grilled, fried. The oysters were OK fried while the scallops would have been better grilled but not allowed. Many local folks enjoyed meeting each other at the Seineyard. Note: the name, Seineyard, was not posted anywhere outside. I had read from the TripAdvisor which said it was part of the golf course which IS posted on a road sign.

Hamaknockers BBQ is a Family Owned Restaurant that has been spoiling customers for over 9 years with our World Famous BBQ. Known for our fall of the bone ribs, juicy chicken, famous smoked wings and of course our tender pulled pork!!
When we had to evacuate the coast for hurricane Dorian we found refuge in this community. Arriving late in the afternoon we asked what was open for dinner. They directed us here, which was the closest to our hotel, even though my wife wasn't really excited about BBQ.We found the food wonderful - even my wife found something she liked. The people were especially delightful and we felt we had discovered a true local treasure. Liked it so much we came back the next night as well.
