This is a true local favorite with week day lunch specials. Also known for their hearty breakfasts, breakfast skillets, huge hashbrown servings and quick service. My 96 yr old grandma loves to go for their onion rings and chili. My personal favorite is the carrot cake and red velvet cake. Closed on Tuesdays.

Spencer's for Steaks and Chops of Omaha offers prime steaks, lamb chops, pork chops, veal chops, fresh seafood, pastas, as well as an array of fresh, homemade desserts. We invite you to experience "Prime" beef pure and simple.
We were in town and Spencerâs was recommended as the best steak house in Omaha , and it lived up to our expectations . Waitstaff were attentive and personable . Our only complaint was that by time of ordering , which was 7 ish , they were already out of prime rib and baked potatoes ( possibly more , but those were our disappoints ) . We â settled â on filet , with hash browns and mushroom medley and we would gladly â settle â again .

Full Serve Restaurant
Great variety of menu choices! The Mac n cheese with chicken skillet my wife had, was excellent. I had the gyro with fries was great. Large selection of draft beer and wine. If you are staying at one the area hotels, this restaurant would be an excellent choice. Our server,Yisel, was very professional and extremely helpful!

Dimly lit and darkly finished, it was the perfect setting for an indulgent dine, and the right choice for our anniversary dinner. The server was very knowledgeable, attentive and engaging. Some wine samplings helped us make a good selection, and we were off to the races. The Lobster Corn Chowder is not to be missed! Rich in body and flavor, chunks of lobster, thick in texture ... my wife wanted to take some to go until we realized they have a restaurant in our home town, too! She went with the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese as her meal and was not disappointed. The rich Mornay sauce was filling and sumptuous; the pasta was perfect. The server (and my wife) convinced me to try the off-menu Wagyu beef, the off-shore equivalent of Kobe beef, we were told. The steak was perfectly cooked and appropriately charred. I have no complaints about what I got but buyer beware! If you chose a heavily marbled product, go with a lean cut or you'll get a double-dose of marbling! It was tasty, and I enjoyed every bite, but the fat content made me nervous! We were too full for dessert. But the server celebrated our anniversary anyway, and the complementary Creme Brulee - also exquisitely prepared - was not wasted on either of us. Thank you! Will certainly go again but will need to wait another paycheck.

Pizza King as a Council Bluffs classic because their pizza is so wonderful! This is normally a very busy restaurant so I generally order pizza and ravioli to go.

Plank is a coastally-inspired oyster bar and seafood grill in Omaha, Nebraska. Thoughtful service, notable flavors, and social moments found here.
Met up with a buddy, who loves this place, for Happy Hour since it was right down from the street. Outside of the sushi restaurants, there wasn't a lot of raw fish options and the Happy Hour prices are reasonable. Ordered the shrimp and mussels, along with different oysters. At under $2/oyster, it's a really good deal considering it's in Nebraska versus the coast. Buddy also enjoyed the gumbo. Most of the mixed drink specials were about $6/each, so very reasonable.

First of all, Iowa prices are so reasonable. We got a lot of food for not much money. This chain is loud so if that bothers you, stay away. The hostess and server were terrific. The server took care of our needs quickly and cheerfully.Honestly, I had the best tasting piece of grilled chicken that I remember. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. All of the sides were delicious too.Loved it and would go back.

Every course we ordered was delicious and served exactly as requested. And it's obvious the service staff is trained well - friendly, knowledgeable and accessible but not hovering or pretentious. Their wine suggestions were spot-on and we were visited by our servers periodically but were never rushed. Our favorite meal during our recent stay in Omaha. We look forward to returning when we travel to the city in the future.
