Since 1975, the Iron Skillet Restaurant has been cooking up fresh food served by friendly folks. From our hand-cut steaks to hand peeled, fresh mashed potatoes, to the Best Buffet on the highway, you'll see why professional drivers vote Iron Skillet their
Went on a Sunday before noon and they had brunch buffet set up. The food looked dried up, like it was sitting there for hours. The there was one pancake and one, what looked like eggs benedicts, stuck to the bottom of the pan and they never replenished them while I was there. The table felt sticky and the condiments on the table, I would not touch. There was not a big selection of food for the price they charge. Would not go again and would not recommend.

I chose a diner for dinner tonight to get some good homemade food. This was s good choice. The salad was very fresh and crisp. The Prime Rib was very good. The Cajun Shrimp were pretty small and slightly over cooked. The server was very attentive. Also the price was very reasonable.

This restaurant is charming inside with all sorts of interesting flea market decor to engage your interest. We walked in here for dessert and coffee on a Wednesday night after leaving a packed italian restaurant down the street. .This place only had two tables they were waiting on while the rest of the tables were empty. We knew better at that point but stayed anyway. Their tiramisou was horrible. It did not have mascarpone cheese at all...it was nothing but whipped cream with lady fingers sparingly dotted through out.The coconut cream pie was a huge mount of all whipped cream as well. The fact that they were very large portions did not make up for how bad they were. Hey...maybe the food is great here...I don't know. The wait staff was certainly pleasant and friendly.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry that we missed the mark on your last visit. We will share your thoughts with our staff to ensure that next time you experience the 5 star food and service we are known for. We appreciate your business and hope you give us another try soon.

This is a popular restaurant along the highway. Convenient in and out. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and friendly. When we go back to NJ to visit, we will have several meals here, mostly breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

I have never eaten at this diner so thought we would try it out and so far in the last 3 weeks we have been there 2 times. I ordered the hot roast beef and the gravy was by far the best I've had from a diner. Husband had veal parm which he loved. Prices are great and the service was excellent. What a great place to eat. We will go back often.

Finally made a reservation for Saturday night family dinner and was excited to try based on TA reviews. Reservations are a must on the weekends as with most other restaurants on Farnsworth Ave as it is small. It was noisy and hard to hear the waitress go over the specials, but did not detract from it being a friendly and comfortable place. I had the truffle burger and both my daughters tried the crab croissant. All plates were empty. My husband ordered chicken and waffles and he liked how it came as a sandwich with syrup for dipping. Desserts were shared and d- lish also. BYOB is nice too and we will definitely make a return visit soon.

I absolutely love this place! It's a friendly place where you always run into someone you know. It's cozy, remodeled, and the restrooms are clean! The have awesome specials every night of the week. The drinks are served fast, cold, and they are inexpensive. The owner, Bob, is always around and takes an active role in running his business which I can appreciate being a small business owner myself. I do not in any way feel apprehensive about bar fights, roofies, etc at this establishment. It's the kind of place that you can plop your purse on the bar and know no one will bother it. That's rare in today's age. Keep up the good work Corner House!!

We were greeted with a hearty hello and a warm smile from our waitress, Samantha. Samantha was very attentive and patient while we wrestled with our order as everything sounded good. My friend ordered the filet mignon sandwich, without cheese, however he got the cheese - not that he doesn't like cheese he just didn't want it - he still really enjoyed his sandwich. Meanwhile his wife and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. While all the sandwiches came with a side of french fries, the pulled pork came with a good and very tasty portion of cole slaw - something I rarely eat - which made the pulled pork taste even better as it added a little crunch to the sandwich, We also ordered a side of their macaroni & cheese, which was creamy and delicious. I am looking forward to visiting this place again and try something else, especially their nachos which looked very appetizing.
