I ordered the four square breakfast with eggs, turkey sausage, hashbrowns, and toast. My wife ordered the avocado toast (smashed avocado covered with arugula and grape tomato salad, topped with your choice of two eggs, any style, chopped bacon, and feta cheese. Served on top of wheat toast with a side of fresh fruit). I really enjoyed my selection. My wife thought hers was average. Our server, Lamontaija, was good.

I wish Cedar Rapids had a Jason's Deli! Friendly staff and great food! Had the salad bar and soup, broccoli cheddar and chicken pot pie! Wow it was good on a cool day! Definitely will return!

My daughters surprised me with a girlsâ night out which started at Trostelâs. We were there for happy hour and exceptional deals! We each had a drink ($2.50 select beer and $5 select wines!) and shared some of the happy hour dishes (margarita pizza, stuffed peppers) and others off the regular menu (chicken skewers, tuna tartare, boudin mushrooms, fried avocado). Everything was exceptional and served a dish at a time so we could enjoy each as it came. We ended with pretzel bread pudding ala mode. An absolutely excellent evening all around and the three of us went away satisfied! Love the atmosphere and the service was great! Thank you, Glad you had such a great experience. You will have to come back for our half price wine on Wednesdays for even more fun!

A friend and I were meeting up and were having a couple appetizers with our conversation. The server interrupted us several times to impatiently taking our order, so we just decided to order after the 4th visit in a short period of time. Following that, was are you finished and here is your check. Oh, can I take that now? The food was fine, and I understand the server wants to make as much money as possible. When the patron lottery yields a small tab, such is life. If one is treated well, one may return at a later date for a complete meal. That is unlikely to occur in this instance. Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback on your visit. Rest assured we know a good time can't be rushed, and I've touched base with our team about your review to ensure we're always putting our best foot forward. We'd love another opportunity to show you the outstanding service we're known for in the future. All the best,Dave, Owner

In town for a visit and a friend told me Jethros was the best tenderloin. So my sister and I ordered â1â with the waffle fries and said we were going to split it. When it was served it came out already split , with the accompaniments on each plate (onions and pickles). I love it when restaurants do that!!! Had unlimited drinks too and while we had to ask for our first refill, the other times the staff was attentive. We also asked to move tables as the a/c was blowing down on us! That didnât prove to be a problem for these folks and we were allowed to move to another table! Very friendly staff! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit there!!! Lunchtime wasnât too terribly busy but I understand diner is very crowded. Food is worth it!!!!

I could barely eat a quarter of the half of chicken. No smoke flavor, they must use a salty rub VERY salty. Totally uneatable. The baked beans were bland and the coleslaw had a weird wang to the flavor. Husband had the Prime Rib melt and said it was OK, but he wouldn't go back.

Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country
Had dinner here as we had been to other cracker barrel's and had always found the food to be good. This one was on par, staff were friendly and our food was prepared quickly. Overall a good experience.

Dropped by with my wife after a recommendation from the hotel. What a great decision. My wifeâs burger may be the best Iâve ever tasted. The pork tenderloin I had was amazing. The kettle-chips and house made dip were also great. Bailey was very helpful. Put this place on your Des Moines list.

This was our second visit while traveling. Experience was not as good as the first time. My mahi-mahi nightly special was overcooked. My wife's swordfish was also overcooked. The restaurant is large with a number of dining areas and bar. Wait staff are friendly and competent. There is also a seafood retail market connected to therestaurant.
