Got this app earlier this week, mights well put it to use. Chocolate peanut butter shake was killer! So good! Wing dings were not the best I've ever had, but enjoyable. Great flavor, but not enough meat. This place is a drive in, and the only one I've come across in the LP so it's my favorite by default. Friendly waitress too.

The outside of this restaurant looks like an older house, so it's a tad confusing as to whether it's a restaurant and whether or not they were open. It's a small establishment that looks like it has regular customers. The bartender/server greeted us quickly and was very friendly and efficient. (5 stars for her!). We got the cod special and a cobb salad. The fish and french fries were okay-they use the thicker "skinny" fries and they were cooked just right. The Cobb salad was the worst salad I've ever had. Old iceberg lettuce, rubbery (couldn't even cut into) poached chicken, and the most pathetic brown rock hard (single) slice of avocado I've ever seen. It would have been better to just leave that single slice off the salad, rather than include it. Even though this is a bar, they should still be able to offer something besides all fried foods. I did enjoy the Gypsy vodka from Petoskey. As long as you stick to alcohol and fried food, you should be okay here, but if expecting something beyond that, I'd go elsewhere.

There was not much change on this visit but a little things like a deck coming from the back deck dinning area thing to the parking lot. The waitress said they fixed the water problem unfortunately that didn't work . It still as bad as ever to me. We came to have dinner all 11 of us. The waitress handled it very well and food didn't change . We had a good time enjoyed our meal by all. We came here because there was no band. The last owners had a band on Sundays and thier expertise in music was "make it loud" and they did that for sure. It was our place to go when the band was outside not inside. The problem I had was the busboy started clearing the table before everybody was done. He would pick up as much as he could carry with his hand. I would suggest that manegment buy a tub so that he can clear more than 3 wine glasses and a empty bottle. And do it AFTER the party has left not during the last of the drinks being consumed. All and all we had a great time and maybe I'm a little cridical but we eat out almost most of the time in our travels we know what good . Look at our number here on Trip Advisor.

My husband, cousin and I had a wonderful dinner there last month. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Each item was delicious. The mushroom pasta was exquisite. My cousin has since returned with other friends, and plans to do so again at the end of the month. We will be back soon, as well. If you like good food elegantly prepared in a lovely setting, this place is for you. But don’t get the idea that it’s off putting. It’s not. It’s casual and comfortable. Highly recommend!!!

Hack-Ma-Tack Inn

Since early days of living in the Cheboygan area- 30 years ago, the Hack ma Tack has been a favorite destination for anniversary night out or big family dinners. Sad to say, despite the still charming Northwoods ambience, the menu is stuck in the 70s or 80s. That could be fine if the food was well prepared beyond appetizers. Lots of overdone meat. A vegetarian will be hard pressed to find anything to eat except salad.

Last Saturday night we had another great event in Mulligan's Back Room - our 40th Class Reunion. It is always a pleasure to have gatherings at Mulligan's. As always, Mandy was gracious and easy to work with. The food was tasty and plentiful. Kristen was an awesome server - she took great care of us and was absolutely perfect. I will be sure to have my next special event at Mulligan's. Thanks everyone!

We stopped in for lunch around 12:30. I wanted to order a salad but they were out of salad. Not sure what that even means. They make them ahead and only make so many?? Anyway, I ordered a sandwich and it was average. The bread was slightly burned but the bacon was good. My iced tea didn't taste fresh brewed, presumably it wasn't. Staff was friendly and service was fine but the food just wasn't great. We won't return.msu_mom Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. Please accept our sincerest apology for being the first restaurant that you had the misfortune of ordering an item that we were out of, "sounds like you have never experienced this situation before". No we don't make our salads up ahead of time! Anyway, it sounds like you ordered a BLT sandwich, yah we toast the bread, " one mans toast is another mans burned bread"!! I would like to suggest inquiring before ordering if the iced tea is fresh brewed or concentrate as that seams to be a concern for you. Since you won't be returning I won't bother inviting you back

Was pleasantly surprised, as I didn’t know we could watch the river traffic while we ate. This restaurant is located next to where the beautiful boats can dock too. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Waitress was nice. The veggie sandwich was very good - had artichoke, cheese, tomato and more. Our friend liked the breakfast burger and the eggs Benedict serving was large. Prices were reasonable. I want to go back and try another dish.
