We each had chowder and shared the beef sliders. Both were delicious. The wine pour was generous.Music was initially loud but they graciously turned it down when we requested.

This was our first time here. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Food was very good and a nice small salad bar that was very fresh. Next time we are in the area we will go again.

Our family was in Charlevoix and we celebrated our niece's and nephew's birthday here. Housed in an historic home, the restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is perfect. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious! The mushroom soup was a real hit, the scallops were perfect, and all the other dishes we had were delicious.

I never knew this place existed but it has literally all of the qualities of a great, casual, Northern Michigan lakeside restaurant. Came here after a day on a boat and jet-ski. Great, casual atmosphere right on Lake Charlevoix with good views of boats and dockside dining offered. Service was excellent! Staff was extremely friendly and tried to be accommodating, considering this place is always busy it seems. Menu is small, but something for everyone. Very good food all around with a lot of local offerings. Fresh, casual food.Highly recommend for a good restaurant to come to off the boat, beach or a place to get good views of the Lake Charlevoix in Ironton.

As previous reviews have said, the fish & chips are awesome. The options between cod, whitefish or perch are perfect. You then get to choose 2 or 3 pieces (bring your appetite if you go with 3). For French fry lovers, the fries are CRISPY!Service is great, too!

Probably one of the better known restaurants in Charlevoix, known for nice view of channel and for the Earl Young designed fireplace and hearth. The waitstaff were personable but service a bit slow. The menu offeriings were routine and the food was average. Overall, pretty much an average experience. No doubt there are more charming restaurants in town with more exciting food offerings. 3 stars not meant to disparage the Weathervane, it was just okay.

We were headed to Beaver Island on the ferry on a Wednesday morning and decided to stop into Smoke On The Water for breakfast before the ferry departed. The restaurant opens at 6:00 am and is right across the street from the ferry which makes it handy for a before-the-ferry breakfast. All offerings are made from scratch and are of high quality. I had the All-American breakfast consisting of eggs, a meat choice, their special toast, and hash brown potatoes. Everything was well prepared and plentiful. My wife enjoyed the breakfast sandwich which was a hearty meal. The restaurant is only two rooms with maybe 12 tables but it wasn't busy at this early morning hour. We would enthusiastically recommend Smoke On The Water for your next breakfast in Charlevoix.

We were visiting Michigan lake area and needed a lunch. We parked and entered. The service was prompt but we were visiting during the off season. We both ordered The chicken salad and potato soup and it was average flavor. There are probably better options in town.

Itâs been years since weâve been in the area to eat at Terryâs but got there Friday night. They open at 5pm and there were people waiting before 5. Walleye is my favorite fish and the best is at Terryâs. Great service as well! Highly recommend the restaurant.
