Waitress was helpful in picking out martinis to try. Started with fire cracker shrimp and a wedge salad. Filet mignon special was cooked very well and was tasty - served over shrimp and mashed potatoes with asparagus substituted in place of another veggie. Cold water lobster tail was a good size and well prepared. The restaurant is willing to make substitutions and has gluten free options, or will accommodate changes to make a dish gluten free. This restaurant opens at 5pm (there were people waiting for it to open - us included because they did not take reservations) by 6pm every seat was taken with people waiting to be seated.

Went there our first day for lunch. The food was delicious. The shrimp and grits was out of this world. The ribeye sandwich was piled with meat and flavorful and the shrimp nachos were delicious. In addition, the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend.

Their website (and even their menu in the restaurant) says they serve breakfast. We have dined here for breakfast before; it was bustling and the food was good. However, this time when we arrived we were told that the owners had âchanged their mindsâ about serving breakfast because it wasnât busy enough and then we were turned away. Ironically, every other person in the restaurant at that moment was also there for breakfast.

Historic Downtown Swansboro. Focus is on local seafood, All Natural raised American Beef and Chicken, local and organic produce. Pasta dishes, vegetarian, vegan, nightly chef specials.
We rode into town on our motorcycle after a 90 degree plus ride, hot and tired. Our hotel recommended this as their number one recommendation. It was a mile walk from our hotel so we walked there and back. It's a nice little restaurant right on the water. Inside or outside dining. We chose inside because we needed to cool down but there were people outside (no shade though so keep that in mind). We had great service, were seated right away. My husband had the Bahama Mama drink which he loved. He also had Shrimp and Grits which is also raved about. I had a greek salad and I wanted to taste a local fish so they blackened grouper and put that on top. Also have roasted brussel sprouts which were tasty. It was a good experience. It's also in a cute, historic walking area. Unfortunately on a Tuesday night none of the shops were open. We enjoyed a nice stroll back to our hotel through the neighborhood. Encourage you to try this place.

We stopped here for lunch a few weeks ago. We just happened to be in town helping with disaster relief from Hurricane Florida. My wife had the pimento sandwich and loved it. I really enjoyed the special sandwich of the day. So the food here is tremendous, and the service is A+. We met the owner, Marty, and were impressed with his heart to serve and provide great meals at a fair price. If we lived closer, this would be our go-to restaurant for good food.

Upscale seafood restaurant utilizing modern cooking techniques, practicing safe sustainable seafood and farm to table produce. Catering events & weddings.
Went there for date night after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Food is absolutely delicious. We had the crab cakes, scallops, pork belly and maki roll and everything was amazing. Great flavor, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our favorite was the pork belly - crispy and oh so good. We are definitely going again. For those saying that itâs pricey I disagree - the quality of the food and service that you get is worth the price. Highly recommend when visiting Emerald Isle.

Bogue House is often our first choice when we are thinking of good food fast. I love their fried clam plate and my husband loves the shrimp. The chicken is tasty, as is the bbq. There is a good variety and you can get home style desserts as well.
