Restaurant and boutique hotel in Carbondale, CO, serving farm focused and locally sourced food inspired by the community. Come home, stay awhile.
We have visited this place in previous incarnations, which were good. This is an even better alternative, because the chef appears to be a genius. There is plenty of parking and both inside and outside seating. The service is prompt and friendly. Be prepared to wait for your meal, because they take a great deal of care with it. We were astounded at the quality of the food we got at a sub-Aspen price.

While visiting our son for the week, we enjoyed morning coffee and lunch on the days our son was at work. Very busy at lunch time as it's so good ! The line moves fast and it's worth a small wait. Plus great vegetarian options.

Roosters took over where Towne used to be. Basically same set up. The tables are all solid pieces of wood which is cool. We started with deviled eggs. excellent. The entrees were very good. Wine selection was nice. We had a very nice Pinot Noir.Service was a little difficult with only one server@nickellfamilytravel

Classic 50's throwback Diner, family owned and lovingly operated by locals! FRESH food with daily specials including owner Marty Voller's famous Thursday special. Great for meat and non meat eaters alike. HOMEMADE is the way all the dishes start here incl
Stopped here for lunch after not finding a lunch place in Marble. This Carbondale diner is the real deal. All nine of us loved our food; my picky sister-in-law even loved the beef burger, she said it tasted like Filet Mignon. I had the chicken sandwich and a chocolate shake...both were perfect. Service was fast. Lots of baseball card memorabilia on the walls; Men's bathroom even had the classic poster of Marilyn Monroe in her white dress with the wind blowing it. The young busboy was efficient and friendly. Family owned. Only minor negative was the chlorine tasting water. Would definitely stop in again.

Nothing fancy here! And a great way to start the day. Itâs diner style with about 20 seat situated around the business end - the working kitchen area. Everything is cooked to order. The breakfast burrito, and the huevos rancheros are highly recommended! The coffee (was just ok) is self-serve. Terrific service, and recommended!

House brewed beers, wine and cocktails. Full menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. Outdoor seating. Kitchen 11:00 to 10:00 daily. Late night weekend menu too. Large outdoor beergarden. Family friendly. Free Wifi
Stopped by for lunch and immediately liked the place because it had the same grainy, malty smell my kitchen takes on when I brew a batch of beer. They had a limited selection of beers, but the four of us each tried a different pint and thought they were great. I also liked the smashed chicken tacos. This was a surprisingly good find in Carbondale. Check it out.

A little off the beaten path. Wandered in for a "different" type of breakfast. We ordered the duck eggs, sausage, toast and King of Convenience egg sandwich; along with cappuccino and coffee. EVERYTHING was delicious. Server was unbelievable wonderful and accommodating. Flying later that afternoon, we took along the cubano sandwich (which they wrapped perfectly for plane consumption), and all of their baked goods

We were passing through here on our way to the Ouray area and decided to stop for lunch - pulled up some restaurant reviews (got to love smart phones) and chose this place. It seemed like mostly locals here which is usually a good sign. We had a very good lunch on the outdoor patio - food was delicious and came to us very quickly, great service also. They have a great menu with some eclectic choices - really enjoyed it.

What a find! The gluten free blueberry corn cakes and crispy bacon, not to mention the bottomless cup of coffee.... we loved everything about the Village Smitty! Our waitress was attentive and kind. A real local gem!
