Find out what American restaurants to try in Burlington. Vermont's largest and perhaps most cosmopolitan city, Burlington beckons with the perfect blend of old New England charm, arts, culture and nature. Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, between the Adirondack and Green Mountains, Burlington is one of those places you can't help but fall in love with. During the spring and summer, the streets come alive with festivals and outdoor concerts. The picnic benches, playground and bike paths of Leddy Park are filled with warm weather revelers, and opportunities to swim, fish or just kick back on the beach abound. In the fall, the Burlington Bike Path is bustling with leaf peepers who come to view the vibrant autumn colors. In winter, lace up your ice skates and head to the Paquette Arena or grab your skis and head to any of the nearby resorts. Church Street Marketplace, with its early 1900s architecture, great restaurants, live entertainment, one-of-a-kind shops and well-known stores, is the focal point of the downtown area. Anytime of the year is a good time for chocolate. Be sure to stop by Lake Champlain Chocolates for a tour and taste.

Juniper is Hotel Vermont's local, ingredient-driven cocktail bar. Created by Executive Chef Doug Paine, Juniper's menu is a celebration of individual and community effort, of small local producers growing and raising food, brewing beer, distilling spirits
This restaurant was in our hotel so we enjoyed several meals here including breakfast and lunch. We found the service to be very hospitable and kind - and the food was crazy good! I recommend the Mushroom Tartine. If you like mushrooms YOU MUST TRY THIS! After dinner we popped outside to enjoy the fire pit, benches and view of the Lake. I highly recommend this place - oh - and Monday night Trivia was also a lot of fun. The brothers running it had a nice vibe, and nice chemistry. Really enjoyed it.

Citizen Cider, founded in 2010 on a hunch and some good old-fashioned hard work, has quickly become a leading player in the craft cider arena. Citizen Cider strives to look at the bigger picture and focuses on being involved in every aspect of their suppl
Fantastic cider! My husband and I each tried a cider flight and enjoyed it very much. We even bought some cider to take with us. Cute business and friendly staff. Be aware that GPS does not take you to the Citizen Cider's business location. We were walking around a block over when an employee walked by us. We were able to ask for directions and were told that lost people are a common occurrence. Will come back here the next time we are in Burlington!

For the second time in the last 3 months we reserved for dinner using YELP! Arrived at 5:45 with tickets for 7:30 performance at Flynn, a few doors away.Waitress was terrific. We were served at 7.Kitchen needs serious work. Food was wonderful, but we had to speed eat. Too bad the wait time is so bad.

We stopped at Stone Soup for a light snack. The restaurant is very clean and has an inviting decor. We shared a blueberry scone and a broccoli and cheese quiche. I am not a huge scone fan, but both items were absolutely delicious, especially the quiche. It was a generous slice and the server warmed it for us. It was so good.

Established in 1925 and still serving home cooked food. Take a step back in time with the retro atmosphere and service. A unique slice of Americana. Service with style; full coarse meals, Greek entrees available: gyros, spanakopita, Greek salads. Deliciou
Love diners for breakfast and his place is a classic. Opened in 1925, idyllic location and great menu. The only problem is that the food did not live up to the potential! Eggs Benedict were bland and cool, as were the accompanying hash browns. Wifeâs food was the same. On the upside service was great and itâs still worth a stop for the atmosphere alone - but I still wish the food lived up to the expectations!

We enjoy coming here for Breakfast and lunch, the food is fresh and wholesome, prices are fair and we especially love their sandwiches. A lively atmosphere most of the time with outdoor seating which is nice during the warmer months. Recommended highly!

Took our grandson to American Flatbread for his birthday. The restaurant has been in Burlington for several years but I had never been there. The oven is in a convenient part of the restaurant so you can watch the action. That was nice and made the ambiance quite nece. We had four people so we ordered two pizzas and they were excellent. We had one meat lovers and one plain cheese. The service was very good with the servers spelling each other and making sure that customers were not left waiting for their food.I will be back.

Four of us had dinner there our first night in Burlington. Menu is somewhat limited but everything is great. Décor is mostly wood and lighting is kept low. Expect to pay around $50 per person not including drinks, tax or tips. Reservations are a must on weekends and in summer season.

Overall the food we had for breakfast was average. Everything was good quality, but just ordinary in taste. I guess with all the rave reviews, we were expecting more. However, the staff was fantastic. Everyone from the waitress, to the hostess, to the bus girl :-)
