Located in the heart of newly revitalized Downtown Bryan we're all about good times and good company. We are located in a newly renovated historic building where every effort was made to show respect to the history of the building. We keep our food menu s
Found this place while driving around downtown Bryan one evening and decided to stop in. Quick service, friendly people, fair pricing. Ordered a Yard Bird ($7.75) with side of sweet potato fries ($2.85) and unsweet iced tea ($2.35). Food was served up within no time at all. Good quality ingredients and very enjoyable burger. Fries were decent while tea was topped off twice.Total tab before tip was $14.02. Worth checking out if you're looking for something out of the ordinary. Lots of televisions with football games showing which made it easy to catch up on all the college games that evening too.

Was in town for the weekend and met a friend from college for breakfast. I prefer seafood, so I decided to try one of the summer specials....the crab omelette. WOW! I was actually pretty skeptical since crab is not at the top of my list. It was excellent! I also choose the cheesy grits and it came with a side of bread. My friend had the carnita bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also love a restaurant that leaves the coffee carafe on the table. I tend to drink more coffee out especially when visiting. I will definately be back before the summer menu is gone! *I will add, the later it gets, the more crowded. We arrived at 9:00am and at 10:15 when we left, there was a crowd waiting.

We love the barbeque, although everything here is great! There steaks are also wonderful. You stand in line to order but they bring the meat out to you when it is ready. The vegetables, coleslaw, potato salad, and bread are on a buffet and you can get whatever you want (they are known for their corn, but it is all great!) On Monday nights there is live music from a group of musicians who meet and play for the enjoyment of the crowd. You will find the youngest to the oldest here and there is something for everyone.

... however slightly under seasoned. No big deal, because this can be easily mitigated with some salt. Service was attentive, the food â as mentioned â quite good. The place is inviting and definitely worth a visit. Note that there are only limited vegetarian options.

I joined some friends for lunch at th Chicken Oil Company, a famed Bryan beerjoint that serves excellent hamburgers. On this most recent visit I had a cheeseburger, which was prepared as ordered and was delicious. This establishment has become a Brazos County landmark, and one well worth visiting.

We visited for lunch with our daughter who is at Texas A&M. I enjoyed the cranberry salad. My husband enjoyed the hamburger, while our daughter had the antipasto appetizer for her meal. It was all very good, in a beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards. Very pleasant meal. Good service. Not too busy.

Arrived for the first time at College Station from overseas last night, here to support our friends sending their son to A&M. Everyone through the day kept recommending âThe Republicâ for a great meal, great service and atmosphere. The Atmosphere was nice, the food good, but, the service (Server) ruined the evening. Having lived overseas for over 10 years, nothing beats coming home to the USA, going to a place like âThe Republicâ for a good USA dining experience. Having a great host staff and good food is only a part of the experience. In our case, other servers apologized for ours not yet greeting our table as they did their best to get things moving for us. Once arriving, our server seemed put off that he was our server, he appeared to believe he was above us and felt he knew better how our friends wanted their drinks and meals then they did. This patronizing attitude continued through the entire evening. That is between 2000 -2200 21 Aug.It is my opinion that there needs to be a customer service discussion reminding staff that every customer is important and that you never know who you are serving. Until then, no recommendation from us. Out of respect for Mr. Beckman and his vision to create âThe Republicâ, we will give it another go but for now only as option 2.

This was my first visit. Service was absolutely spot on--genuinely friendly, rapid but not pushy and food was hot at every step. Had the ribeye--well seasoned although a little fatty and thin in my opinion--but tasty nonetheless. Prices are also quite reasonable. Will definitely look to return.

Our family of 8 from 13 to 76 years of age met for a wonderful lunch. We have very diverse tastes and everyone was extremely pleased with their meal. Tomato bisque, tortilla soup, roast beef sandwich, fried chicken, meatloaf, quiche, and salad - all excellent. Service was very good and we had a choice of leisurely meal which we enjoyed or express menu if you are in a hurry. We will definitely return.Check opening days and times as they are a bit unusual.

Over the past two weeks we have been to Christopher's World Grille on three occasions - for a luncheon hosted by a non-profit, a small reception to honor educational achievement, and for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All were great. The focus of this review will be on the most recent visit in celebration of our wedding anniversary. As usual, the service were superb - friendly and attentive - and the food was delicious. Christopher's continues to set the bar for fine dining in the Brazos Valley.
