Reviews on American food in Bristol, Pennsylvania, United States. Bristol is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Center City Philadelphia, opposite Burlington, New Jersey on the Delaware River. Bristol was first incorporated in 1720. After 1834, the town became very important to the development of the American Industrial Revolution as the terminus city of the Delaware Canal providing greater Philadelphia with the days High Tech Anthracite fuels from the Lehigh Canal via Easton. The canal and a short trip on the Delaware also gave the town access to the mineral resources available in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York via each of the Morris Canal, the Delaware and Hudson Canal, and the Delaware and Raritan Canal, and connected the community to those markets and trade from New York City. These were among the factors spurring development of Bristol and nearby towns, explaining in part the industries which developed in the region.

Ok. They earned a 5 in my book. Iâm rating it on diners.First, the omelette selection is extraordinary. Itâs not a half-a$$ed offering. Imaginative and quite filling.Iâm not an omelette guy, but holy cow, these are delicious with mega variety. Iâm an âAmyâs Omelette Houseâguy now.I had the chili dog omelette. Large Sausages and cheese folded in the omelette and Chili on top. It was a real meal. Home fries were done right, they were mixed with onions and peppers. Man, it was G-O-O-D !!Wife had the pancakes and eggs with sausage and bacon. Bacon was cooked very good, sausage good, eggs and pancakes good. The sausage is impressive, not wimpy littles ones.Interior of diner is a flashback to the past, plenty of tables and counter service as well. Place is very clean, owner does a great job keeping the place clean and maintained. They decorate for the different holidays and have nik nacks around adding a little nostalgia and character. Oh, the staff and manager were topsDefinitely going back with the rest of my family

Stopped for lunch for some wood fired pizza. Staff was friendly and efficient. The decor has warm wood and brick,a kind of hip industrial vibe. We had the white mushroom pizza and it was delicious, so good on a cold January afternoon! Something about wood fired pizza, is extra special.

Went there after seeing a review in a local paper(BCC). It was a rainy windswept afternoon, & the bar was 80% full. The place reminded me of a local neighborhood corner taproom from my childhood days. Everyone at the bar was friendly and talked to EVERYBODY in the bar. The barmaid was nice & provided good service. Every beer came in a FROZEN glass. I had the French Onion soup. Absolutely great, better than I have had in "upscale" steakhouses in Vegas. The roast pork sandwich (The South Philly on the menu) was very good. They would give John's in South Philly a run for their money. This is a friendly place, & I will go back for lunch again & try dinner. The place is small, not fancy, but very good food & very cold beer!!!!ALSO, IT IS A NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This little gem of a deli is AMAZING! I absolutely love their sandwiches! They are always fresh and perfectly made. It's never really a long line because they always work together. If the line starts getting long somebody from somwhere will jump in and help. The prices of these sandwiches and platters are amazingly reasonable.

We celebrated Valentine's Day at Jule's @ Market. We had never been there before. Our welcome was luke-warm. We were pointed to our table, rather than shown to our table. Seating was cramped. The tables were very close together with very little wiggle room between them. There was no privacy or intimacy. The seats were hard with no padding. We started off by sharing an appetizer - avocado toast - which was good - although, the shrimp had very little flavor & avocado was the dominant flavor. We then shared a beet salad - which was delicious. For our entrees - Hubby had the halibut - I had the beef tenderloin - and, we ordered 2 sides - garlic smashed potatoes & snap peas. My tenderloin was served to me in bite size slices/pieces - like I was a toddler who needed my meat cut up for me! I'm assuming, the chef took the liberty of doing this, because I had ordered it well-done. It was beyond weird & it was NOT appreciated, at all.We shared a dessert which they called Bananas Singapore - it was ok. It was either that or berries - which we often have at home.

Great location for a Graduation Party or any other celebratory event! The room was plenty spacious with courteous, attentive staff. Excellent DJ (recommended by Georgine's); well-picked song selection, referring to the guests by name, motivating people to dance. Buffet can vary according to preference. Meatballs, pasta, roasted turkey, green beans, salad, fruit salad, and desserts were all very good. Bar option available for alcoholic beverages.

I've been going here for about fifty years. It hasn't changed it's decor much. They still use paper table covers. The food is very good and reasonable. I can't have shellfish anymore so I have flounder. My husband loves their lunchtime seafood platter. It has a very good assortment and is very filling.

I've driven by this place for 30 years without stopping until being invited for lunch earlier this week. Food was shockingly good. I had the turkey, blt with avocado on croissant. Delicious. One companion had breakfast and one had a ham and cheese and both enjoyed very much. Prices were more than fair. Gonna stop in for breakfast one day soon.

The King George II Inn established in 1681 is on the National Historic Registry as one of the oldest continuously operated Inns. We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a view of the Delaware River from 2 of our 5 dining rooms. Join us!
Have been coming here for years and we are never disappointed. Food and service are consistently the best! Since the new owners took over several uears ago, the quality is amazing. Everything is fresh and entree portions are large. Our waitress, Denise, was very engaging and efficient. Full menu service for lunch and dinner. Several dining areas, including a bar area with some table seating. Nice to sit in either the downstairs or upstairs rooms with a river view. There is a limited menu on nights when the Bristol Riverfront Theater has performances, but the options are plentiful and excellent. We split a Pecan Pear Salad to begin. The salad was large enough for both of us to enjoy a hearty portion. I opted for the fresh catch, which was red snapper. Served with rice pilaf or buttermilk mashed and quite a large amount of fresh, not overcooked, broccoli. It was excellent and quite a bit to eat. Hubs opted for a pasta and shrimp dish, equally as good. We ended by sharing a small, but wonderful lemon/lime tartlett. Many diners were taking home doggie bags. Definitely recommend eating here.
