Nice family style restaurant with friendly staff. I stopped in for breakfast and had coffee with eggs Benedict. The eggs were well cooked on an English muffin with sauce. The cheese was like a plastic wrapped American cheese. I would ask for different cheese and that would have elevated this dish.My Mother had oatmeal with a blueberry muffin which was ok. My husband had the eggs and home fries which were good. Fair price for good to average food.

Which of you travelers labeled this "vegetarian-friendly"? I guess in the sense rice and ravioli are technically vegetarian-friendly (more like "vegetarian-tolerant"). Anywho, carnivores rejoice as Vela offers up a diverse set of meat-forward offerings while not going overboard on choice. Salmon tartare and seared tuna were exquisite. Sliced duck breast was seasoned to perfection. And the drinks menu evidenced knowledgeable curation. Entrees dragged a bit but the establishment was bursting at the seams and the wait was well worth it. The former McArthur's Pub space received a tasteful makeover with conversation aiding prints. All of this doesn't come cheap (~$55 a person all-in) but the experience rises above Westchester County's decent-but-overpriced average. In short, worth the visit.

This restaurant is consistently good. The service is great, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere beats a diner by far. All the dishes are plentiful and we are big fans of the cole slaw. Although we live in lower Westchester, this place is worth the trip.

We stumbled upon the Landmark Diner for dinner tonight while traveling in the area. Sometimes you get more than you expect. We expected a diner, we got a diner. The food was good, the server was fine. But nothing special happened. We ate!

I was looking for a seafood restaurant in Ossining near the railroad station for lunch after completing a several mile hike on the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail - using TripAdvisor, I narrowed it down to Boathouse and 3 Westerly then selected Boathouse based on the food reviews. And the reviews were spot on - the food was indeed excellent! I was a bit skeptical of the meatless quinoa chili to start - but it was very good, and hit the spot after a long hike on a cold morning. You know the seafood is fresh here when I couldn't order the salmon because they had not received their morning delivery - so luckily they had a filet of sole special instead with tender asparagus - everything tasted awesome! While the view of the river and Palisades is pleasing, it is a bit unfortunate that the parking lot is where it is - but given the land available to them, they clearly had no other choice so just lift your head up an extra foot to remove it from your focus. Thanks to Brian for the great service!

Found this place purely by chance while driving around in Westchester. You actually need to look hard to notice it - it shares quite dull neighbors of your average suburbia mini-mall. Inside, though, this is a modern American-style restaurant/sports bar with an impressive menu and an equally attractive wine/spirits list. The service was top-notch, the food selection - mouth-watering, the quality of preparation and presentation earned top marks. Some menu items were quite fancy in terms of style fusion. All in all, a very positive experience, and if I'm ever back to that area again, will definitely pay another visit.

Each of our dishes was excellent. We didn't expect to find such great seafood in Pleasantville, but we were really impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the refined presentation. I drove over an hour from New Jersey to meet friends here, and I will gladly return due to the quality of the food and the warm welcome by the chef/owner. Highly recommended.

This graceful, timeless, classic American Restaurant in Briarcliff Manor, NY defines the steakhouse genre, with its adherence to only purchasing the finest products available at the daily markets. Hand selected prime beef, veal, and lamb. Hard-shelled lob
First - you need to know that Flames is not cheap. A reasonable meal for two with a cocktail and/or wine is going to set you back a few hundred. We're talking Manhattan prices. Once you're okay with that, the restaurant clearly specializes with steaks of various cuts. We both had a filet (one with the bone in and the other without) and they were excellent. Be aware that the side dishes are large enough for two people. We didn't realize that and wind up with more than we could eat. Portions - including the size of the steaks - is generous. For the money, they should be. We enjoyed our meal, the services was great, and overall the experiences was excellent. Also, Flames is nice and quiet! I'd recommend Flames, but for me the recommendation is for special occasions.

Squire's Restaurant provides fine family dinning with the best Burgers and Steaks in the Briarcliff Manor area
Stale buns. Nasty cook or possibly owner glared and stared at me when I asked for a fresh bun. He just sent the burger back untouched and starred/glared at me for requesting something so unthinkable! . The rug in the dining room of this dive was moist, sticky and stunk so bad they had to keep the overhead fans on high on the low ceiling. The servers were nice, so one star for them.

Blue hill is not just a restaurant, it's a culinary playground. They get to eat things prepared in ways you've never imagined, sometimes realizing less is more in masterful hands. It's expensive, to say the least, but if you have the opportunity to sit for an exceptional experience at Blue Hill, do it!
