Harborside Tavern's reflects hip sensibility while also paying tribute to Boothbay's storied past. The restaurant offers the choice to observe a gorgeous harbor view on the enclosed deck, as well as a full dining room with table and booth seating.
Great choice for some Maine favorites along with a number of other tasty choices. We enjoyed shrimp and grits with a lovely tomato relish, and salmon over sweet pea risotto. Entire staff is efficient, friendly, seem to enjoy being there. Pretty setting on the harbor.

A breakfast and lunch eatery offering delicious homemade food in a bright and cheery dining room with views of harbor.
Based on both Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews, we drove 20 minutes to BoothBay Harbor and this quaint little cafe for the âBest Blueberry pancakes in Maine.â We were seated promptly and the server (Stephanie) could not have been more delightful. All five of us ordered the pancakes and they were wonderful. I would actually drive to BoothBay again just for this breakfast but since BoothBay has so many incredible shops and restaurants, Bridge Street just adds to my list of reasons to return. We loved this excursion and, as foodies, we unanimously recommend this cafe - especially for the Maine blueberry pancakes. Delightful!

We were here on a Sunday night. Sat outside on the top deck that overlooks the harbor, beautiful view. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful. We ordered a beer and both of us had the Risotto dish with lobster, scalops and shrimp, the bowl was huge, flavorful and had shaved parmesan reggiano on top, to die for. So big I couldn't finish mine. Cost was what it should be for the seafood dish. We'd go back.

Cozy and quaint cafe serving homecooked breakfast and lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating , and parking on site! Located within the beautiful Boothbay harbor downtown!
We visited this quirky spot in September, 2015 and had mixed feelings especially in the service area. Today was much improved in that aspect. We arrived at 07:10 for breakfast and were already the fifth table to be seated. When we left twenty-five minutes later the small facility was packed. Arrive early and bring cash in you want a smooth experience. No credit cards accepted.Coffee and tea are at a self service beverage bar and seemed very popular. We opted for water which was served table side. The wife went with the Spanish Omelette and I had the Mama âDââs Special Omelette. Both were good. The side hash browns could have been hotter.Table placement is tight. There was a large table of six older women sitting next to us with purses hanging over the backs of their chairs that encumbered both customer and server traffic.Service is on the slow side. I felt that maybe there is only one person the kitchen. The large table I mentioned had meals being delivered two at a time with an interlude of about five minutes. Total bill with tip came in at $23.00.Give this spot a try. Parking is easier than at most restaurants in this small popular tourist destination.Thank you for giving us another shot, and your review hit all based... Yes we are a cramp little spot, but, that does add to its charm ( quoting a customer's review) We appreciate all the time you took to review and we were very happy to hear from you. Maybe we'll see you again in 4 years. Thanks again, Mama D and Staff.

My wife and I went on the Cabbage Island Clambake this week and had a great time. This family activity includes a one hour tour of the island and then a mid afternoon meal which includes two lobsters, steamed clams, vegetables and dessert. We ate on outside picnic tables overlooking the bay. The staff is very friendly and efficient.

Great house made sandwiches, pizza, selection of beers and wine; eat in on small porch or take away for a picnic.
I have been to this establishment many times. Although the food is generally good the store food offerings are limited because the other half of the store is devoted to redundant art items to include small lighthouse replicas and other common beach memorabilia. This array of goods signals a lack of resolve as to what this owner wants the store to be!. More food could be offered and less art (much less) since the store occupies a place where it is the only establishment of its kind within 6 miles. This may be the reason why the fare is rather expensive. I leave this place wondering what the heck is the owner trying to accomplish?- too little of the good; too much of the redundant.

A piece of authentic Maine history, The Thistle Inn still stands as a place to gather and celebrate what makes life all the more worth living: great food, great company, and a home away from home. Originally built in 1861 for a prominent sea captain, our
The food at the Thistle Inn is positively top notch, and the service is excellent. It was so good that we ate there a second night and were not disappointed. We highly recommend you give it a try it. Excellent service and wonderfully delicious food.

Scallops cooked perfectly by Karen herself. I liked that they were not drowning in batter. I don't think fries are homemade, but my husband really liked the Cole slaw and the lobster roll. I can see tourists being put off by the side of the road trailer appearance, but worth a stop for a good lunch.

Mom Bet and daughter Sarah (And quite a lovely pair they are) have it nailed down tight. Only fried haddock and fries here and thatâs all you need! Clean clean clean fish and hand cut fresh French fries - I don't know what others are talking about with them being stuck together or not good- but I never had better fries! Perfect compliment to the fish.Order a Half meal for one - full for two people ($21).Youâll go back a second time even if youâre only in boothbay a few days!
