After seeing the place showcased on "Food Fridays" on our local news show, my husband and I decided to go for brunch. Brunch is at the perfect time - 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., so you can still go to brunch after church.The interior was elegant. The food was AMAZING and the service was impeccable. There were the fluffiest scrambled eggs I've ever eaten, french toast, bacon, shrimp & grits, gravy, soup, apricot jerk salmon, green salad and colorful sauteed vegetables.We will definitely be back.Hi Maureen! My little girl school had spirit night here on Wednesday night. Having a least 50-60 kids running around the staff was on it. The staff made sure the tables were clean and the floor was mopped. The food came out in a timely manner. I will differently go back.

When people from Columbia think of going out to eat, they probably do not think about driving to Ridgeway -- but they should. I visited this restaurant a year or so ago for the first time and had a favorable impression. My second visit, with a friend, was today and that first impression only got better. The menu and atmosphere here is of an upscale restaurant in a larger town but it does not cost as much. I ordered the shrimp pizza and then added an order of onion rings when I saw the waiter carry an order by our table. My friend ordered the Ridgeway Burger with rings and we both had sweet tea (of course). The shrimp pizza was a very pleasant surprise with an ample amount of shrimp (larger ones than I expected) and the onion rings were very good. My friend was also happy with his burger and fries. If you are in the area or are just passing by, I highly recommend a stop here. It is a very nice restaurant in a very small town -- and only a couple of minutes from I-77.

In the small town of Ridgeway, SC, there is a beautiful tea room housed in an old mercantile store. Beautifully decorated, the original woodwork, stairway, floors and tin ceiling tiles have been preserved. The original shelving and long counters are still in use. The downstairs is perfect for lunch or a spot of tea. Beautifully set tables are charming.Unique items are offered for sale. Upstairs you will find beautiful vintage hats awaiting you on pegs filling a wall. A few more steps up and you arrive at a beautiful dining hall with numerous elegantly appointed tables awaiting a ladies luncheon, bridal party, etc.Most importantly the food is delicious and priced reasonable. The servers are friendly and very efficient.

I Have eaten lunch here many times before or after playing golf. Very good burgers, cheese sticks, sandwiches, etc. Everything we have ordered has been very good. The service is very friendly and good also. This is a country club restaurant but I still recommend.

Traveling on I-77 In Blythewood, South Carolina, Use exit 27. Turn right if northbound, left if southbound. Look for McDonalds on left and enter there. Subway is behind in the shopping plaza but is easy to spot right next to the Comfort Inn. The staff is happy and polite, the facility is clean. Choose the type of bread, types of meat, vegetables, and dressing you want and watch them prepare your sub. It is wrapped in front of you and bagged with napkins. We had one of the specials and added double meat. The sub was excellent. I was listening as the next person in line was asking for a vegan sub. Vegan was available in both subs and in vegetable baskets. I watched as the employee changed gloves so that no "meat'" was transferred accidentally transferred to her sub--nice touch. Ther is drive-thru service available and don't forget to enter the survey for a "Surprise offer".

Scottie's is an unassuming cafe attached to a gas station on Hwy 21. When you walk inside, it's nothing spectacular, even the dining room is boring. The menu is fairly basic with a few interesting items, like fried green tomatoes and friend mushrooms. But let me tell you, if you leave Scottie's hungry, then its your own fault!!! The food is where this place shines!!! I ordered an appetizer of the fried green tomatoes but didn't have high hopes; after all not everybody does FGTs well. I was WRONG!! These were perfect!!! 6 slices of nice firm green tomatoes in a delectable golden brown crust with a delicious roulade-ish dip that isn't needed. I will usually share, bit I was secretly glad nobody in my party took me up on my offer!! My entree was a Black & Bleu salad with blackened chicken breast. Y'all, I was expecting a normal size salad...happily wrong again. It came out in a salad bowl...like what Olive Garden brings to the table for the whole party to eat. It was HUGE!!! Nice chunks of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and peppers on a crisp bed of mixed greens with Bleu cheese crumbles & REAL bacon pieces. The chicken was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The rest of my party was pleased with their meals also and no one left hungry, trust me!!The staff was friendly & our server was spectacular!! I didn't get her name, but she waited on us like we were in her personal home! She was super friendly & helpful in our menu choices. She did tell us that she normally handles all catering side too. I wish I knew her name so I could tell you to ask for her to ensure excellent service!!! She wore cute glass and had long reddish brown hair is all I know other than she was one of the best servers I've ever had when dining out!!!Definitely stop in and check Scottie's out for lunch or dinner ....you won't leave disappointed or hungry!!!

This sandwich shop is tucked back off the road just slightly but well worth finding. They have other shops in the Columbia area, and this one is equally as good. The service was good. Food was average but unique. The Salmon Patty was overcooked. The Okra with Tomato, I expected fresh tomatoes not heavy sauce diced tomatoes. Employees are professional and courteous. Cabbage was excellent. Great list of desserts but did not try. Price for meal is very reasonable.

Wings were good and beer was cold. Had a quick dinner after traveling. It was next door to our hotel. The side salads were large and delicious and inexpensive. They made my son's salad as requested with lettuce and cheese without a problem. Noisy, but it's expected, since it seems to be a locals hangout.
