Iâve eaten at many BBQ joints around the country and I gotta say Jimâs Joint is very good! Generous portions, friendly service and good prices make it a very good experience. Giving 4 rating only because of all the great âQâ around the country (No. Carolina, Memphis, Texas etc.) but this might be the best in NW Lower Michigan! :-)

My sister had a chicken sandwiches with fries and I had the Reuben with fries. They make the best fries, they double fry them. Crispy and delicious. They are a Mom and Pop cafe. Good food and nice service. Breakfast meals are hard to beat. They use Vennia style coffee from the Lealanaw Coffee Co.
Met a buddy here on a Tuesday at 5:30, and we had the place to ourselves. The Bell's Oberon on tap was excellent, but the nachos were not very good. The ground beef had no seasoning to speak of, much less any Mexican flavorings. The salsa was the best part. Service was fine.
"Nacho Average Taco! We are Muy Loco alright with our colourful gourmet, twisted, tastebud explosions dropped on a silky soft taco shell cooked to order right in front of you! All our taco shells are GlutenFree & NON GMO Other than being crazy about Tacos

We would not have known that they sold meals, but we saw someone leave the market with a hot sandwich. We went in and browsed a bit, then ordered lunch. Four of us had sandwiches. Watched them carefully handmake my sandwich. Everyone remarked how good the sandwiches were, made with fresh veggies - I watched them cut up fresh green pepper, onion, etc. The only negative - next time, order a half sandwich - they were delicious, but too much food for lunch.

Good breakfast, but then it's hard to ruin bacon and eggs. The coffee was barely coffee and the servers were just short of rude. Not from being overworked, the place was practically empty on a Saturday morning. Now I know why.

A+++++ all around. Great service from a friendly local, wide beer selection, great location and vibes (check out the art to quilt pic on the wall...kinda wild)... and best of all, the food was fabulous and inexpensive. I had the Reuben and it was literally the best Iâd ever had. Wife and son had the pesto and grilled chicken which she said was delicious as well. The Caesar salad before was awesome as well. If I could Iâd of rated it 6 stars! And your one block from walking to the lake.

If your in a hurry and want fast food, do not stop here.A nice quaint little family owned restaurant in a quiet little town. Menu is large with many interesting items all of which I wish I could of had. And, they serve breakfast all day long. You are warned in advance that once your food is ordered, it may take a tad longer than you think. Only because every dish is prepared individually and not ânukedâ or reheated.Do not hesitate to stop in and enjoy a meal, or breakfast.Ein Prosit

Good bagels, good deli. But, if you read about their new chicken shawarma sandwich, and start thinking 'excellent!', realize that you will be getting a good, but definitely not shawarma, warm chicken wrap with the chicken dusted in a very average American curry powder, and a rather anemic tzatziki sauce. Vegies, wrap, and the concept are all fine, but shawarma, it is not. Tzatziki it is not.
