Find out what American restaurants to try in Belmont. Belmont is a small suburban city in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States, located about 15 miles (24 km) west of uptown Charlotte and 9 miles (14 km) east of Gastonia. The population was 10,076 at the 2010 census. Once known as Garibaldi Station, the name change for Belmont is disputed. Some say it was named for a prominent New York banker - August Belmont. Others contend the Pope ordered the abbot of the monastery to change the name since he would not tolerate an abbey in a place that bore the Garibaldi name. The abbot could see Crowder's mountain from the property and named the town Belmont - "beautiful mountain". Belmont is home to Belmont Abbey College.

This is a "hidden gem" off the main road in Belmont, but worth searching out. Let me say that I was already going to give them a 5-star review before I even tasted the food because of the way they graciously accommodated an unusual request. Assistant General Manager Veronica Martin was absolutely stellar in her approach to customer care, and our waitress, Kendra, was nothing short of excellent. Now, on to the food...We loved the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer. Perfectly prepared, with a generous helping of red sauce, cheese and green onions. I ordered the caesar salad as a side, and it was delicious. My main course was the tenderloin, ordered medium rare and cooked to perfection (I ended up sending the center of it back for a little more cooking and to my great delight it still came back medium rare just a little less so). My dining partner order the Buffaloaf and it was addictive. The wine pours were generous, the carrot cake sinful, and the whole experience was wonderful. We'll definitely go back, not just for the food but for the caring service The Lodge dishes up. Well done!

Some outdoor seating and where we chose to sit after a + 2 hour wait. The food is very tasty, filling and affordable. Staff were swamped with people, several empty tables but not enough servers.

Several guys have highly recommended the Kyle Fletcherâs cheeseburger to me as the best in Gaston County. I finally ate one this week, and I must disagree. Iâve eaten Kyle Fletcherâs BBQ for years, mostly on fundraising plates Iâve ordered from Boy Scouts and bands and other organizations. Iâd never eaten a burger from there because I believe you eat BBQ at BBQ restaurants. But so many told me to try the KF burger. So I did. The large burger is HUGE. I actually cut mine in half to eat it. Itâs hand-pattied meat. The veggies were fresh. The bun was fresh. But the meat, while tender, was bland. It wasnât seasoned at all, not even a little salt and pepper. It just tasted like it came out of the ground beef pack and onto the grill. And it wasnât as tender as burgers at my favorite places in Gaston County, NC. In terms of beef taste, I make a better burger at home. I canât complain about the quantity for the price. $5 wasnât much to pay for such a large sandwich. The cheese fries my wife and I shared were good, covered in real melted shredded cheddar cheese. But again, I couldâve done it better at home. All that cheese was orchestrated in a way that made the fries mostly soggy. I didnât like that. They were actually dripping with cheese grease in places, unfortunately. My wife enjoyed the bologna sandwich she got. It was also HUGE. It had great flavor. To my taste, I actually prefer bologna to not be so very thick. But it was good. Our service was excellent. Our tea cups stayed full. We were served delicious sweet hushpuppies as a complimentary appetizer. Iâd definitely eat at KF again. But Iâd stick to the BBQ, as I believe one should do at a BBQ joint. I like to take othersâ recommendations sometimes, but they donât always prove to be true, at least not to my agreement.

I ordered several pizzas for a meeting. Johnny's B's had them hot & ready on the minute of agreed time! But I arrived a few minutes early & chatted with the bartender. She told me the place had changed hands just a few months ago. This was my first visit in a year or so. The pizza used to be pretty good - the ones I just got RAISED THE BAR.The reason it'd been a year is because there's a place (also in Belmont) that had better pizza. Based on my last visit, that gap is closed & it's too close to call. Add Johnny B's fabulous beers on tap & I think my "regular" place just changed.

My daughter and son-in-law raved about this place, so when we traveled to North Carolina for a visit, they took us to this quaint town in North Carolina. Not only was that the best blackened shrimp I ever ate in my life, the cheese and cracker hors dâoeuvres were incredible. Thereâs good food, and then thereâs food that you think about for days afterward. This place will want you coming back! They also have a wonderful rooftop bar with sunset views (see photo) and rocking chairs! A fun addition in my opinion! The famous Jonás Brothers dad owns this restaurant I believe.

We stopped here twice on our recent Belmont trip to have a casual dinner and enjoy watching the NCAA basketball games. The food and service were very good, even though the pub was very crowded both times. Food and drink are typical for a pub...burgers, wings, sandwiches, etc. Everything we had was good. Beer selection and recommedations were very good. We were with a large group one of the times, and they made every effort to seat us together without a long wait. This is a fun place to go, and the people who work here couldn't be nicer!

We lunched late on a Friday. The tables were mostly empty in the surprisingly cozy interior.Old Stone does many elegant touches well Arugula was a nice complement to the beef tips on pita. The horseradish sauce added to the dish but didn't kidnap it. The apple slaw was excellent- fresh tasting, different and tasty.THAT Lady ordered the Burger Special. The mesquite flavor earned the claim of specialilty (Yep. That's how I'd like to spell that). The fries were thick slabs of potato, Browned at the edges but flaky inside.THAT burger for THAT Lady was ordered with pimento cheese, the lure that tempts Wisconsin Badgers to summer with the Tarheels. It was delivered with an American cheese that was bland and greasy. Wisconsinites made U turns for Neenah, Sheboygan and Fon-du-Lac.The simpler things matter too.

They have an unbelievable selection of local draft beers. For a pub, the food was very good. We thought the Baja Shrimp Wrap was excellent -- well prepared and generous serving. The service was very quick and friendly. It is very loud, but, again, it is a pub. Also being a pub, they served late which met our need as we were there after a baseball game. Easy to find on Main Street.

Located in Historic Downtown Belmont, our building is right on main street. We have our very own parking, conveniently located right beside our newly renovated, large outdoor patio. Just keep an eye out for The String Bean 'green' shade sails.
This was a nice place in the quaint town of Belmont. We had to wait a bit to get seated and waited for various things but the food was very good. It was just a nice time to sit and visit since we had a little time of waiting. But Iâd go again. The food was yummy and TVs wait staff was nice. You could sit inside or out.
