This is one of my wife's and I's favorite local restaurants. We've never had anything but great food/service there until today. This was the first time we've dined there for their brunch. They started at 11:00am and was completely out of food by 11:30. The place wasn't that busy, maybe half full. The food just wasn't that good. Very disappointing. We'll eat there again, just not brunch ever!

Stopped off of I-71 on our way home to Cleveland. We were seated right away and the server asked for our drink order. The menu is large enough and has varied choices. My spouse ordered the oriental salad, my daughter the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the fish and chips. We all enjoyed our meals. My fish was hot and fresh and delicious. 3 pieces of fish along with fries. More than enough for lunch. My spouse and daughter both finished all of their food too. The service was a bit slow but we were not in a rush. If we had been I would have told our server from the get go. I will gladly stop here again while traveling.

This is a local restaurant for me and it is great to have a place to count on in our community. I have had mixed results in the past but have discovered that it seems to have gotten better recently. First when the Owners have been there they are very engaged in the operations and always greet you with appreciation for your business. The menu is a very simple family dinning but everything comes out hot and fresh. I have started to regularly visit for breakfast the homemade biscuits and sausage gravy always hit the spot. Also the sausage links are always fresh and tasty. The service is always fast and friendly. Lastly I know that the tribute to John Wayne seems a bit over the top but I love that they have made this place their own. Too much of what we see today is reworked or copied themes that you find everywhere. The Whiffletree takes me back to a time when you could look forward to visiting a unique place that can not be found in any other place in the world!

There was 6 adults and one child in our group. We all ordered something different. Half getting breakfast and rest lunch. Food finally arrived after a very long wait. Now this you would expect if they were really busy but they weren't. I got Chix and dumplins. Which were hardly warm. After waiting for waitress to come back she took them to reheat. When I got them back the only thing hot was the plate. Others said meal not that good either.!

Still one of our all time favorite reviews of our place, if you've been there. you'll get it! What a hidden gem! Ambiance is amazing. It goes from Roseanne Barr looks on the outside, to Scarlett Johansson on the inside. Great selection of not only wine bu
If you know beers, and you've been around to some breweries, you'll appreciate the passion that this brewery, Laxton Hollow, has for beer. It's nestled inside the Happy Grape bar, the far door to your left. It's actually very cozy and classy. Separating the beer bar from the wine bar is a door-shaped opening. There are four cask ales to choose from. Get a flight if you want since they are all fairly unique. The beers that actually stand out are the porter and IPA. I like the porter far better. The rest fit the "cask ale" bill as warm(er) and low abv, but not a lot of flavor. The said two ales offer distinct profiles. Get a pint of the porter and you'll get the experience. It has a winey, smooth, yet robust character and allows you to experience the intention of brewing a cask ale, think natural carbonation versus forced, which is historically how beer used to be made. It's worth trying it and appreciating it. Flatbread was good. The whiskey beef was $13, but not worth that price. Try the tuscan chicken flatbread or a sandwhich. You get to take home the complimentary glossy, baseball-card like, playing cards describing each beer. If you are only making 4 beers, this guy goes all out for those four! You can appreciate that.Cheers

This is the best place around for breakfast, in my opinion. The prices are pretty cheap and the food is always hot and fresh. The service is always great, too. They have the best sausage gravy I have ever eaten.

The Black Dog Tavern at Deer Ridge Golf Course is located in Bellville, Ohio and is open year-round. From a quiet dinner for two out on the patio overlooking the scenic course, to wedding receptions up to 240 people, we have more than enough space to acco
Went with large group on a Saturday night and definitely not busy. Wedding also being held which can be heard in main dining room. Service from kitchen seemed slow for the main course but not a problem as we enjoyed visiting. Food was good especially the hand cut fries but not all homemade such as the fried appetizers. Typical bar food.

We have started going back to K C's after several years of just forgetting about them. The food is terrific, and the service is always very prompt and pleasant. We've had steak (very flavorful and done exactly to order), ribs, fish, and my husband loves the onion rings and fried green peppers. I like supporting 'non chain' places and this has actually become our new favorite. Pleasant decor, booths, and tables, quiet (background music is not overpowering so it's a great place to take the 'hard of hearing' relatives. This is just a local eatery with excellent food.

Wow! Just wow! The calzone was so very good. I usually only eat one and a half pices of pizza. I loaded my plate 2 times with this delectable masterpiece. The crust was perfect. The toppings were perfect cut sizes. Not too big or minuscule. Sauce was scrumptious. Yum, yum, yum. My friend kept going back for more. My grandson started drooling as soon as he heard where we were getting the pizza from.

This is a clean, well-lighted place for the traveller. Good "Amish" food (mid-Ohio food at any rate), which means a heft caloric load of good old fashioned meat, potatoes and vegetables. Friendly servers, clean bathrooms, and a well-stocked store of "Amish" goods will provide a welcome rest for the traveller. Location could not be more convenient from the exit on Interstate 71. The baked goods opened my eyes and wallet. I doubt I needed those calories, but I sure enjoyed them. Overall, it is hard to go wrong with the buffet dinner, whether for price, selection, or quality.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your nice comments. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to serve you!
