Visit Kelsey Road House for an unbelievable dining experience. With our fresh meals made in-house, our lovely outdoor patio and our spacious banquet hall, we can ensure you and your group have an enjoyable experience at our restaurant.
Good basic food and kitsch, on the patio they have flamingos on walls, need I say more! The restaurant is your typical neighbourhood spot, its dark and full of regulars just as it should be. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the food is typical good pub food, if you are expecting fine dinning this is not the place, hence the name Roadhouse. I passed by this place on RT. 14 numerous times and never went in until recently with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a hole, but this place was clean and respectable. We sat on the patio overlooking the lawn, I just love the garage doors and flamingo paintings. We had the burgers which were pretty good and they have a good beer, mixed drinks and wine selection, we indulged in all three, I must say this is one of the few neighbourhood places we have been in that the staff did not look at us as if we had two heads or they should call intervention when we ordered multiple beers, a bottle of wine for one, and mixed drinks. Also the chocolate cake is amazing, I wish I was not so full from the burger and was able to finish it, they give you a slab not a sliver. To their credit, they do try and keep families with children far enough away from dinners with no children, so that you can have a adult conversation, and not have to cope with children running about and being loud. I would recommend if you are adults with no children to go later in the afternoon or evening, we have been twice, 1st time was pretty late and there were very few families, 2nd time was earlier and there were more families, unfortunately a family with two children were seated close by us, and the mum getting up to serve her children that were well past toddler age did get a bit annoying for my husband since she had to walk in back of him every time the kids wanted something(they looked to be between 8-12, old enough to put food on the plate without help, but they were also drinking out of cups with lids on them, and the whole family had the table manners of barn animals) so lesson learned, go later, but that really did not damper our experience, our wait person was great, and we will be back. Also they have plenty of parking close to the door. I would recommend you don't pass this place, its a hidden neighbourhood gem.

We were in Barrington visiting for a few days and our son mentioned this place had gotten great reviews so we gave it a try. A house converted into a restaurant tucked in to a lovely residential neighborhood. The decor and atmosphere was charming but the air conditioning wasnât cutting it, especially upstairs where we were seated. Our server was very personable and attentive; however it did take over 30 minutes to get our entrees. Generous pours on wines. Our son said the house salad was very good and it did look nice and fresh. Unfortunately we were all very disappointed in our entrees. Our son ordered the chefs pasta which was beef stroganoff. Certainly not traditional stroganoff. A large bowl of macaroni with some mushroom and a little ground beef which appeared to be maybe one small meatball chunked up into the macaroni. Looked like a bowl of hamburger helper. Very disappointing. My husband both had the duck which was cooked medium. Unfortunately so was the duck fat. Medium is fine if the duck fat is nice and crispy but both of our duck entrees had undercooked fat. Bleck!Adding to our disappointment was the fact that the duck was very chewy. Donât think weâll be back here real soon.

My wife and I had dinner here. The Horseshoe Grill has a nice selection of bottled beers and some nice draughts. We both had their draught Stiegl-Goldbräu, an Austrian beer, which was very good and unique in this area. We both had their "dynamite burger" which was excellent and quite tasty. This place was really busy when we were there on a Saturday night.

Cooper's offers a great family friendly atmosphere. Warm Pretzel Bread Sandwiches, Stuffed Pizza, Big Iron Horse Barbecue, and AMAZING Fresh Garden Salads.
Wife and I do a hotrod cruise night every Thursday summertime in downtown Barrington, Il. Cooper's caters the event with basic food like cheeseburgers, hotdogs and pizza slices. They also have a small restaurant on Route 59 just South of Lake Cook Road with many more choices. Exceptional food every time we visit. Not as moderately priced as most but the quality is always top shelf. This visit was chicken quesadillas. One order split between us. Wonderful taste. Sour cream, guaccamole, salsa and shredded lettuce with some black beans on the side. Basic food with a big taste keeps bringing us back. Never had any regrets or disappointments.

It has been a long time since we've been to the Canteen, and it is as good as I remember. We visited for breakfast. My husband had the Zorba Omelet, it was huge. Fluffy and tasty. You have an option for a pancake side or toast (he had the toast). It also comes with home fries. The home fries were outstanding. He also got a side of bacon. The bacon was great. He did get a glass of OJ. The OJ was your typical fare. I had the ham and cheese omelet. Also huge, ham was fresh, really good. I had the pancakes, there were outstanding, to the point when we return, that is what I am having.Coffee is excellent. There is plenty of seating in this smallish place with booths, tables and seating at the 'bar'. Wait staff is excellent. All reasonably priced. I really wish the Canteen was closer to home!

This place is amazing......I can't believe it took so long to find it! Husband and I were looking for a new breakfast place to try out - he stumbled across Southern Belles based on reviews, and we decided to give it a try. This place is AMAZING!!! First, the service is fantastic. The food variety is amazing - so many different options! They have southern comfort food, and a lot of healthy options as well. It's a cute atmophere too - in an old building that really has that "homey" vibe going for it. We love this place so much! Can't wait to go back again this weekend :)

A true neighborhood favorite and highly desired dining destination outside of the city of Chicago. Utilizing the diverse culinary bounty of this great nation, we aim to exceed your gastronomic expectations every visit.
We were worried when the previous restaurant in this location closed since it was very good, but our fears were not needed. Region is a very good restaurant. It's not cheap but the food and service warrants the higher price. Excellent menu with a good variety of options and ample portions. we'll be going back.

A cheerful environment. Lots of light wood, casual, spacious and upbeat pub. The service was friendly and the food selection was varied. The fish and chips had a very light, crisp batter coating and the chips were also light. The fish tacos were flavorful, and served with a coarse slaw and tasty relish. The dark beer was rich and smooth. This is the perfect stop over when visiting the San Fillipo Estates....literally seven minutes away.

I meet my daughter and grandkids here frequently for brunch. The menu is fantastic and the quality is top notch. The gluten free pancakes are amazing! they are so light and fluffy. I like mine with blueberries and blueberry compote. The omelettes are awesome and they have plenty of the fillings you order. Also, the morale of the staff is so great! It's a pleasure to eat here. Thank you so much for taking the time to write us this wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed the delicious food and great staff.
