Things to do in Barre
This is a pretty institutional feeling place. Not pleasant or unpleasant, kind of meh. While waiting for a friend I got a bagel and coffee. They were both okay. Nothing special. The counterman was distracted and not friendly. I wouldn't go back, based on my experience, but I say that just because of the ordinariness of the food. You can get bagels and coffee lots of places, so why come here?

Easy to find, just use the URL. May be the only place in Barre that delivers.
Went here tonight as I was going to the Opera House. I like the pizza at the now closed Montpelier location so I figured I try it out. The service was alright but the pie for the price is right for the money. Also the special was a large pizza for price of the medium. I will go here again when I am in town.

Stopped for dinner with family and friends. Not bad but nothing really special. Best I can call it is average food at unimpressive prices. salad bar was nothing special and chicken breast sandwich was slightly over cooked. Roll was stale. When asked about desserts they acted offended the there was no interest in their only offering of an icecream bar that was poor at best. Would not recommend it or return here

Positive Pie is a little bit of an oddly situated establishment given the relatively rough-around-the-edges town such as Barre. It feels more like a college town kinda restaurant. We happened to be there between lunch rush and happy hour, so the place was empty aside from us. I chose the caesar salad with grilled salmon filet and a "green" pizza. Both exceeded expectations, as the salmon was perfectly prepared and the pizza was just the right size and quite delightful. Overall, I would go back (and probably will when work sends me back to Barre).

I don't like leaving reviews that just bash a restaurant because I know how personal a business can be to owners. I instead would just like to leave feedback to hopefully let managers/owners know what can be improved to help them in the future. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with 6 people. It was not busy but we heard there was a large party upstairs. We ordered our food and drinks and waited....and waited....and waited...Not once did a server approach our table to refill waters, offer another beer, or even update us as to why lunch was taking so long. We waited for over an hour for our food. Instead of ignoring us because it was taking so long, managers/owners should train their servers to instead keep the table informed of the wait time and at least let them know what the status of the food is. Not only did we wait for our food for an unreasonable amount of time, but we sat there with no water, empty beer glasses (they literally could have sold 4 more beers if they just came to the table) and no update as to the whereabouts of lunch. In the future - if food is taking a long time, please don't ignore guests, make them at least feel appreciated even when things aren't going great in the kitchen. Most people realize that things may take a while and are ok with it. But to ignore a table isn't the solution and turns guests off. We were 5 minutes away from walking out of here.

Our lunch companions were regulars who highly recommended this place; they were not mistaken. We were welcomed enthusiastically and seated quickly, and our server was prompt and friendly throughout the meal. Our food was not exceptional but it was certainly good. My spaghetti with tomato and mushroom sauce was very tasty--note that both the spaghetti and the garlic bread were covered with melted cheese.. My wife enjoyed the rustic chicken carbonara,. A third person ordered fish and chips, with onion rings substituted for the fries: the rings were excellent, big and crispy but not greasy. The portions were all generous, and at least two people needed to-go boxes. And the total bill was very reasonable, especially considering the portion size. Definitely recommended.

Looking for a delicatessen that offers sandwich catering? If you enjoy sandwich platters and craft beer, book a caterer at Morse Block Deli.
Convenient location, super service, great selection and the price is right. Whether you have the time to sit down or you need it to go, Morse block deli is the place to go. I liked it so much the first day, I had to go back again.

Beautiful setting in the town's old fire house it also includes a museum
Nice repurpose of an old firehouse. One large room serves as dining room, and it is fairly loud. Obviously a popular place as we had a 30-45 minute wait. Decorated for Halloween. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. Nothing special for beer or wine, a small list for both. Wide menu choices. Food was average. ho hum Caesar salad dressing. Red sauce on a spinach calzone just ok.

We wanted to try Cornerstone again for my birthday, so we went early since there were 4 adults & 1 teenager and we arenât into crowds. The appetizers were delicious ( fried pickles, and mussels-small) and the beet salad was out of this world-delicious!Dinner included the steak special=good; Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl was delicious; swordfish tacos were delicious, salmon was good (a little dry) nicely cooked slivered carrots and Reuban was good but hardly any sauerkraut!Desserts sharedâ-3 tiered mousse & lava cake were very good. Server was extremely friendly & quick.
