We arrived early on a Saturday, so I don't know if the chef was off his game or what. Our garlic knots were burned and tough. The grease from the pepperoni made the center of our pizza soggy. I will say that the crust was good. The server was very pleasant. Doubtful we'll be back.

Our Bourbon Trail trip to Bardstown, KY involved 3 couples. A local we met on our first day suggested BJ's Steakhouse for dinner. Sure glad she did. Although busy, we made a reservation on a Friday and were well accommodated. Greg R. served us great. We learned from him that Friday's they offer a 14 oz. Prime Rib off their menu with a salad and side or 2 sides for $20.99 until they run out. 3 of us sprung on the opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed our choice. I had mine blackened for an extra buck and got o'rings with a salad. The house ranch dressing was great and my PRib was served perfectly medium rare. All around a enjoyable experience while vacationing in Bourbon country USA.

We visited here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy. We were seated right away. The buffet had a great salad selection, and everything was fresh. The vegetables and main course selections were great and always being refilled. Never did I return to the buffet and find an empty spot. Even close to closing time, the food was always filled. The wait staff kept the tables cleared and were very friendly and courteous. A large selection of desserts. I definitely recommend paying a visit to this great buffet.

While traveling the Bourbon Trail with friends we took an opportunity to have dinner at the Old Talbot Tavern. Amazing building with lots of history associated with famous folks that utilized the facility for rest and meals. Great cheerful staff on the night we visited. Our entrees were tasty and arrived in a timely manner at the correct temperature. We would recommend the Old Talbot Inn and will visit again when we are back in the area. Thanks Dan W, we hope to see you again soon!

A local restaurant that serves tasty, made to order food quickly. Food was of a quality that on 2 successive days visiting Bardstown, we had lunch there. I had a simple tuna-salad sandwich, but it's amazing how often a restaurant can ruin the flavor of tuna salad. The cook at Pat's Place knew how to made it right. I honestly can't recall what my wife ordered, but she was satisfied and actually it was she that wanted to return to the restaurant a second time.Wait staff was friendly and efficient.

Had a great lunch and dining experience. Great gift shop with some good bourbon options. Really nice facility; open, sunny ,modern and airy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Spread out enough where it was easy to hear each other. Had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was fantastic! Salads were good and chicken salad was outstanding. Absolutely worth a visit and a revisit.

My husband had been wanting to have a dinner train experience, and this did not disappoint. Linen tablecloths and beautiful table settings. Pleasant and efficient staff (Allison). The servings are HUGE, and as it turns out I over-ordered. Recommend you only get the appetizers if you are in a group of four - clearly the volume of food is meant to serve more than just a couple. (Appetizers were delicious:)

Stopped here for dinner after having it recommended, and were disappointed by the entire experience. "Hostess" was wearing jean jacket, if that gives you an idea. Waitress seemed preoccupied despite only one other table in our dining room. The much ballyhooed fried chicken and livers was nothing special, but the price was far too high for the product. Very limited menu choices. Nothing was bad, but nothing to rave about, either.

We arived at about 1:30 was seated and placed order for smple food consisting of sandwiches wn fried green tomatoes with drinks fo water and soda--nothing elaborate. It took 45 minutes before we got our food and only after stopping the wait staff person to ask about it. She said they were short staffed in the kitchen and please be pacient. However, we noticed that a couple that were seated after us got their food before we did. In addition, two couples that were seated after our food was finally delivered got their food within 15 minutes of being seated. In hindsight, I wish we never got the food. The butter bean soup was good the rest of the meals was not as follows: 1) bacon on grilled cheese was under done; 2) steak for steak sandwich was not cooked medium as irdered and very tough; 3) meat in rueben sandwich was not pastrami and sauerkraut tasted spoiled; 4) fried green tomatoes were cold. On a positive note, the french fries were good. I have a suggestion for the restaurant--the have a banner saying "If it aint fried it aint food" I suggest changing it to say "if it aint fench fries it aint good".
