This is a nice Cracker Barrel. The staff we encountered was very friendly, the food was good and affordable and the store was clean and well stocked.

Great Local Pub that you can watch a game with your family and come back and have drinks at latenight.
We visited on a Friday and got the all-you-can-eat fish. The fish was cod and very good, but it only came deep fried. There were no other healthier options [baked or broiled] on how to order it. After finishing the first fillet of cod, we were still hungry, so we ordered more. It took a long time and when our 2nd round of fish finally arrived, it was only 1/2 of a fillet. So they were just kinda stingy on the all-you-can-eat. The men's restroom was missing ceiling tiles. One of pedestal sinks in the restroom had a broken faucet handle. If those things are not well maintained, what else isn't? We will try Magic Tree Pub next time.

We were here twice during this visit to the area. The first time was for a lunch. I wasn't impressed. Over the years Perkins has certainly changed and not for the better. I ordered a BLT, my husband got his potato pancakes and my Dad got French Toast. My BLT was very anemic. I asked for white toast but it came out untoasted. I got 3 strips of bacon on each half, a very limp piece of lettuce and 1 1/2 tomatoes. I think there was supposed to be mayo but I couldn't find it. My husband's potato pancakes were almost burned. My Dad's French Toast was cold, his butter laid in a glob on the toast. The next day we went back for breakfast. My husband's potato pancakes were much better. My Farmer's Omelet was good and my Dad's sausage and eggs were fine. So, I would say, stick with ordering breakfast.

Bob Evans offers several menus when you're seated but one of the best ones is when you can pick exactly what you want instead of these very very large meals with pancakes and potatoes and eggs and a variety of meat. Ordered one egg and sausage with wheat toast for $4.99. Adding an iced tea for $2.45. My food was served hot and well-prepared. My server Kourtney was very friendly and efficient. The only glitch in this wonderful breakfast was when I asked for an iced tea to go. It was a sweet tea instead of an unsweet tea. This restaurant is on the westside of Youngstown north of I-80 on Route 46. As you exit the ramp, the restaurant is barely visible as it it sits down in a low area. You enter through a Side Drive that wraps around from back to front of the building.

This is the second time I've pre-ordered a pie, and arrived to find out they didn't have any left. Or so I was told. I was told they couldn't fill my order because there weren't any left. 2 minutes later, another customer walks in, who knows an employee, and gets 3 of the exact kind of pie I pre-ordered. I called them out on it in conversation with management. Her only response was, "I don't know what to tell you. I'm sorry. But that's not my department. I work retail. That's the kitchen, not me."

My husband found this restaurant the other night when while he was working out of town and said it was good. I came to visit Him and we decided to return there for our anniversary dinner. Menu selection was good choices from chicken, seafood, steaks and pasta. Hard to choose. I had the stuffed whitefish and my husband had the broiled scrod. Both were excellent choices. The salads that came with dinner were not your typical salads. Fresh greens, beets, chick peas and homemade dressings. The owner, Joe, made it a point to come to our table a few times during the meal. He was very nice. Overall above average food and service. I would definitely dine there again.

I do't understand. It was rally night and ONE waitress had to handle the half of the restaurant we sat on. Thru no fault of hers the service was ridiculously slow. Why would the manager skimp on what is probably their busiest night. The food was good. The prices were reasonable but the service sucked even though the poor girl was running her ass off.

Nice size portions, reasonably priced and tasty. Hubby and "Sunday" Dinner. Meatballs were amazing. We learned the restaurant won a local award for their meatballs. Hubby said they were like his Mom used to make! I had Trackside chicken smothered in sauteed mushrooms, onions & peppers seasoned just right. Our waitress (Autumn) was delightful and very attentive. We were parched after our long road trip, and were able to relax with wine and appetizers. Restaurant was clean, nicely furnished and within walking distance of our hotel and several other hotels. Nice to find this gem. Highly recommend.

In area for business. Stopped by for a quick lunch. Great burger and service. Owner John Marino was present an introduced himself to me, great guy and nice to see an owner take interest in his customers. Will definitely go back next time in area for business.
