Malaysia is a beautifully complex vacation destination, a land where ancient rainforests give way to multicultural city life. Capital city Kuala Lumpur is visually defined by the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, while in charming Melaka the vibe is more quaint and historical. Many of the country’s national parks offer opportunities for fantastic whitewater rafting, and the exclusive Sipadan dive site (off the east coast of Borneo) is among the best in the world.

The Haven All Suite Resort, Ipoh is set in nature – on the edge of a virgin forest and amidst the flora and fauna of a prehistoric site dating over 280 million years – yet located only 15 minutes from the city centre. It is possibly the only one in its kind anymore in the world where you can live by the primary forest and in the city at the same time. Showcasing nature at its best, this beautiful resort hotel fronts an ever-flowing lake surrounded by lush, evergreen virgin forest. The clear crisp mountain air in this pristine environment and the breathtaking views of nature are an everyday reality for guests. The Haven embodies all the convenience of modern city living, that combines the best of three worlds – quality and luxury, locational convenience and prehistoric setting. It also caters to guest of 3 generations, parents (s), child(ren) and grandparents(s).
The suite is clean and the lake/pool view from the balcony is breathtaking and beautiful. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The pool is big and comes with jacuzzi. Jogging trail around the lake is wonderful. We utilise the gym and badminton court. Kids had wonderful time feeding the pets. Will definitely come again! Recommended to book the suite with the lake/pool view...you will not regret it.

Designed in the style of a traditional Malay village, Pelangi's 355 guestrooms and suites are housed in wooden chalets that are spread across 35 acres of lush landscaped gardens along a stretch of white sandy shores. Be ushered into a world of ethnic charm and tropical tranquility at this award-winning resort!
I have last came here back in 2008 when it was renamed Meritus. it was good and almost a 5 star standard hotel of that era. The breakfast spread was great and everything was there. However visiting it recently, the main building is under renovation and basically the function halls have been converted into shops. Not sure what is going on under new ownership that has changed the name back to the original. The breakfast spread has also become pretty standard continental fare. The buggy service is too slow until we could find a shortcut to walk to the reception building across the street. The rooms have also gone a bit lower in standard with no more bathrobe. However there are adequate towels and decent enough still. Unusually the wardrobe and luggage rack are integrated into the bathroom and the bathroom can be seen from the outside front window. So be sure to use the blackout curtains. Conveniently there is a water pipe just outside the room to wash off any sand or dirt before entering. In-room meals have relegated to basically some kind of KFC menu. On the whole, the resort is undergoing a huge transition and very not sure what will happen to this historic place.

After a long day of exploring, return to discover our variety of dining experiences that are sure to surprise and delight.
Very last minute staycation booking on the same day and our first family Shang experience as the new member. Feeling the staff are stretched and not prompt/proactive probably due to the crowd. Didn’t really feel the warm hospitality. The interconnecting rooms are clean but quite small and dated. The only family activity is the pool but rather disappointing as it’s very small. Basically during the peak hours, you can hardly swim or keep a good distance with others. Was told the kids activities are only available for those at family executive suite. The jacuzzi is another disappointment where the kids are not allowed, separated by genders, too hot and very small indoor with very dull setup. At such a price range, would expect better hospitality and family friendlier. Suggest can add on facilities like pool and futsal tables. The sleep was also interrupted by the flipping Aircon panel noise at the midnight.

Booked throught Airasia Apps ( SNAP) Reasonal price Far from town / Chenang beach but trust me it is worth it. Need car to move around the Island. Once you step in the Resort can hear insect buzzing and love the forest and beach ( private ) Staff 100⭐️ /10 ⭐️ Thanks to reservation staff/customer service Nita & Naomi help on request and question throught email. FO girls did a great job attending and explain detail to guest on Resort Rooms, F&B and facilities during check in and check out fast and smoothly. You need to pay deposit when you check in but will be return if didnt used during your stay. F&B staff friendly, polite and helpful. Really have a good chat with them especially sorry cant remember the name chubby waitress really help me explaining its safe to drive to/from Resort during night time. Really appreciate them alot Rainforest Chalet 100⭐️/10⭐️ Outside look old, dirty, messy, dark, small but once you in room suprisingly spacious, clean, modern interior, full of toilet amenities, free titbits and beverages in the minibar. Big king size bed and comfortable toilet/bathroom clean spacious. Love my chalet floor squeeking when you step the floor remind me of Kampung house / my grandparent house. Bring back old memories. Room also provided torchlight, mosquito vape and insect aerosol. Big YES there going to be insect in your room InSha Allah all harmless and there aerosol, vape can be use to kill the insect so dont be suprise and what do you expect room in forest to be. Dinner & Breakfast at Dayang Cafe 3⭐️ / 10⭐️ Dinner was bad experience I order A la Carte Char Kway Teow ( delicious, good wok hay flavour, good portion, prawns sufficient ) Nasi Goreng Kampung horrible Didnt look like, taste like NGK. No vegetable and about 3 pieces of chicken. The rice not freshly cook. It taste or feel like I mean already cooked earlier and if there new order they just put in microwaves. But the thing is the rice is not even hot/warm. Acar not fresh just carrot and pickled green chillies and fried chicken not fresh it just a frozen prepack chicken. ( really disappointed ) I missed the fire show by the the beach as i have to go out to look for food to fill my hungry tummy. 1st day breakfast below average. Food didnt taste good, bland and suprisingly they served NGK for breakfast which to me it just same like the one i had for dinner. Didnt complaint but giving them a 2nd chance 2nd day breakfast it turnout to be much much much better. The food taste really good, tastier and good choices. Different from 1st day.So mgmt have to look upon this matter and have to monitor on their staff of doing their work. Pool/beach 10⭐️/10⭐️ Love the landscape pool with the waterfall alot of sunlounger by the pool and beach. Beach really private and cater only to Berjaya Langkawi guest and white sand just on the day i was there the wind is too strong during after. 5pm so hardky can swim. But still love the surrounding and views . Other facilities didnt try yet as i just come for a short vacay. Will definately come again and again again and bring along families and friend to try the experience i had. What i have review it just on what happen during my stay. I do hope management look upon the problem and can improved for future .... all the best Berjaya Langkawi Resort

Service Service Service.Don’t expect it here. Arrive on 6 June at 8pm.Check in was ok done by a lady who don’t elebrate much about the hotel.Had to wear wrist tag throughout the stay and if u lose it they will charge 50RM.The check in lady didn’t inform us about this until my helper lose her tag. After check in we took a buggy to a transit place where then we had to wait for a connecting buggy.Waited about 30min,It never came so we walk to our room.My family consists of my mum, wife, helper and 3 young kids all age below 4 years old. The best part is we waited for more than 1.5 hours for our luggage. We receive our luggage around 10.20pm.Check out was a disaster. We had to walk in the rain to transit area and wait for the buggy .I can write more about the poor service but I will stop as this in my 1st time to Avani.Heard many good reviews about this place. For me it’s disappointing. If you want to come to Avani Sepang please consider it later after their renovation.Avoids major holidays too.I think they lack manpower. This place is a lil run down. You can see crack and leaks in the room. The good thing about this place is that they have beautiful restaurants outside the hotel which are walking distance.

Standing tall in the heart of Kuching City on top of Mathies Hill, Pullman Kuching offers luxury 5-star comfort with contemporary features and a stunning panoramic view of the Sarawak River. An essential address for get-togethers with outstanding facilities right in the city's golden triangle, the cosmopolitan and stylish Pullman Kuching has been welcoming international guests with its astounding hospitality since its inception in 2010. The hotel is adjacent to a two storey city life-style shopping centre "Hills Shopping Mall" and within walking distance to commercial centre and city attractions.
I checked in the hotel at 3 pm for 2 rooms. The staff told me that they will call me and give me the room card once the room is ready. My brother managed to get his room card after one hour waiting at the lobby. Then I managed to get the room card at 6.26pm (after 3 hours waiting). How's the poor management of the hotel with 5 stars international hotel. In addition, one of the staff at the front counter was not friendly with the client. The toilet at Level 2 was not clean regularly with the toilet paper on the floor.

We booked the Hatten Premier Suite last week and stayed for 4 days 3 nights. We arrived around 7.30pm in the evening and the room was ready upon check in. After which we went for dinner as it was late and headed back to the room, half way while I was showering my child, my child told me the bottom of his feet hurts, to my horror he stepped onto some sharp white pieces which seems to be broken ceramic in the shower. Tried dialing the reception or operator but there was no one picking up the phone at the other end, it was soooooo hard to reach someone. I had to head down to the reception to look for the manager, no explanations were given only 'im sorry, i will get housekeeping to the room to vacuum the area. Housekeeping came but it was only a few seconds into vacuuming, the vacuum broke down - it was already around 11.10pm. The person said they would return but they did not even after waiting for 25mins. I rang the reception twice during the wait to request a call back and for the manager to come to our room, as the vacuum let out a horrible smell which made the whole room smell like garbage area. As we did not manage to get anyone, I went to down again at around 11.40pm, but guess what? There was not accountability and the previous manager DID NOT ask for any follow up. The previous manager happily went back home, the housekeeping did not come and finish what's suppose, there's no explaination neither service recovery for what has happened. My kids eventually only manage to sleep after another round of screaming at the reception with housekeeping coming up and doing what's supposed - it has already past 12 midnight. Of course, other than the first episode of sharp objects identified in the shower, it was also identified in the carpet in front of the toilet in the master bedroom, the toilet bowl was always leaking water (unable to flush properly after using), the aircon in the room are also making loud noises. The breakfast was so-so, wouldn't recommend, you could get way better breakfast options and less crowd elsewhere. Did i mention that a day after check out, they had the cheek of overcharging my card for another room which we only stayed for 01 night. The person who called sounded so confused and couldn't explain why did they charge that extra night, stating it was a mistake. In the first place, we only stayed for 01 night and paid cash in full upon check-in. The person who checked us in, even stated that they did have our card details and requested for payment, so that's obvious a lie - beware people! I think the only good experience we had was with the porter that assisted us with our stuffs when we arrived and provided us with useful information. All in all, it was a bad experience - you pitch yourself as a 4 star hotel, providing luxurious stay and good experience BUT WHAT IS THIS? Paying a premium price for a premium room which is not upkeep to standard? If not for the location, I wouldn't had stayed here. During our entire stay, there was no follow up, no service recovery, no courtesy calls - i guess the hotel doesn't require repeat business and couldn't care less? If your management couldn't care less about guest experiences, doesn't bother about guest feedbacks - guests like us suffers and wouldn't ever be back!

JapaMala is Tioman Island’s only boutique resort, and one-of-a-kind in Malaysia. This small and exclusive resort of 13 rooms is hidden amidst 11 acres of lush tropical rainforest. A one-village-one-resort property, JapaMala has its own private and quiet beach. While some charming Malay village-style villas and chalets dot the jungle and beachfront, others nestle in the most breath-taking spots.Best described as an ‘eco-luxe’ resort, JapaMala transcends the experience of living close to nature by redefining it with a touch of luxury. Designed by natural streams, steep cliffs, towering boulders and where no trees are felled, the entire resort borrows from nature its elements to offer an exceptional sense of paradise, freedom from the real world. While serious relaxation is an elusive commodity for many, one can truly succumb to the healing effects JapaMala imparts through its holistic blend of sumptuous gourmet treats, intimacy between man and nature, unique spa experiences and truly unprecedented hospitality. Many say JapaMala is not just a place, but a state of mind.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Japamala Tioman and our vacation turns out as what we have imagined. We were fetched from the arrival jetty to Japamala which is only a short distance away on their speed boat and welcomed by their very friendly staff Bell and Zai and other staff already waiting at Japamala jetty which is their most iconic spot. We love the resort ambiance - feels tranquil, calm, serene and we could just lay down under the gazebo not realizing the time passes by quickly. We love love love our sea cliff chalet with the balcony overlooking the jetty. We enjoyed the daily evening drinks / cocktails served at the Mandi Mandi Restaurant cum the jetty and looked forward to it everyday during out stay. We have no complaint about the food / menu - selections from Tamarind and Tempio are equally interesting. We enjoyed the hike from Japamala to the nearby village which was not a walk in the park but was interesting and challenging nevertheless. We feel many parts of the wooden bridges should be repaired / change to make the trail safer. The only disappointment was that the trail to the view point is closed as we were told it was not safe as the wooden steps leading to the view point were broken. All resort staff were friendly and I had an enjoyable time chatting with Zai. We loved it here and we will not hesitate to come back here again in the future.

Been coming here many times this year. Lots of hit and miss experience. Overall: F&B lead by Chef Ridzuan, Chef Badrul and Paya Serai kitchen team was good. The crew and team at Paya Serai was friendly and attentive. They recently reopen back their Exec Lounge (level 21). Major plus for value added service. Currently lounge is open from 12pm to 830pm and eve cocktail remain at 6pm to 8pm. Eve cocktail food is hit and miss but they can improve further. Lounge looks dated but still have the exclusivity feel. Team (Patvin, Ummah) managing the lounge is friendly and attentive. Room depending on availability u may get upgrade. Dont ecpect much of the suite (as they have too few units). Exec room is decent for 2 pax and may look sufficated if 3 pax. Front office (main lobby) another hit and miss experience. Notice the team here are not communicative (depending on their mood). This property can shines further with some tweaks. Thank you for hosting me and my family. Thank you for the many surprises.
