While most visitors choose Benalmadena for its glorious beaches, there are plenty of other attractions to keep your family amused. Take a trip out to sea on a boat or a ferry; you can even go whale and dolphin watching. A cable car ride would make a welcome change, or perhaps a visit to Bil Bil Castle. The castle is distinctive with its Arabian architecture, and it hosts concerts as well as art exhibitions. Visit the Sea Life Centre, where you can walk through the transparent tunnels in the underwater park or watch feeding demonstrations; the centre even has a mini golf course. At the end of a relaxing day, Benalmadena becomes a great place for nightlife. Whatever kind of cuisine you are looking for, you are sure to find a restaurant that will suit your family's tastes.

We have just returned from a perfect week here. The views are amazing and can be seen from the bar, restaurant, rooms, pool area - basically everywhere. The hotel is located in a very quiet and secluded area, however the bus stop is right outside and the reception staff will happily book a taxi to take you anywhere you would like to go exploring, should you want to. The hotel is styled and decorated to a high standard, and those standards aren't just for an initial wow factor - they continued throughout our stay. Staff really seem to care about the experience you have and the service you receive. Catering for Gluten Free needs was so refreshing with a large selection of items available (the most amazing breakfast pastries!!) plus pizza and pasta prepared to order if required. Food selection was varied and of a high quality. There are some minor downsides but if you are aware of them in advance they shouldn't impact your stay - drinks were small and bar queues could be long at times; however you could order multiple drinks at a time. Pool bar drinks were served in plastic glasses but all other drinks were served in high quality glasses that were correct for the drink (ie flute, brandy glass, large wine glass); I have found is often not the case on an all inclusive. Branded drinks and cocktails were available, but not all were included, which was frustrating. Be prepared to pay for all branded ice cream for the kids - only individual pots of vanilla / chocolate / strawberry ice cream are included in the all-inclusive, despite paying a full adult price for my 7yr old, which I felt was poor. We booked with Jet2 who advertise this resort as All Inclusive Plus, which I feel is very misleading. Having spoken to the rep, we were informed they had had multiple complaints regarding this but we felt like nothing would be done to address this. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the operator or the hotel but did put a slight damper on things. The family pool had a lifeguard in attendance at all times, pool towels are included and changed daily if required. There are 2 slides for children only, and a jacuzzi for adults only at the family pool. There is also a purely adults pool as well as jaccuzis up on the roof terrace for adults only (drinks chargeable there, not AI) The loungers and umbrellas were plentiful, even the busiest of days. The pool area is very civilised and feels very safe

Would visit again although may be as short break

We were on the ninth floor and had a nice view over the beach and marina, the beds (2) were massive and comfortable the hotel needs a bit of an update but we were quite happy with it. The staff were very good and the food excellent.

Your best bet for Leisure and Business Ideally located on the beach-front of Benalmadena Costa, and with a sophisticated atmosphere, Hotel Torrequebrada is your best bet for both Leisure and Business. It offers a wide gastronomical variety of delicious food, peace and tranquility in its extensive gardens, fun and entertainment in the Casino, spacious, fully equipped conference rooms, activities and entertainment during the summer months and Wellness area for relaxation. All of this together with a relaxed atmosphere on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and only 30 minutes from Marbella and Malaga, right in the heart of the Costa del Sol.
The hotel is great, All staff are friendly, the animations team Work tirelessly with a smile on their face. The hotel is large with two buildings once you remember which one you are in it’s easier to find your way around ? The rooms are of decent size with a lovely bathroom with a walk in shower, it has a hairdryer and a magnifying mirror. Rooms cleaned daily by friendly maids. The hotel is suitable for wheel chair users as there are ramps and I noticed chair lifts into the pool also the pool had steps going into it as well at ladder steps. Pools have life guards, depending on which life guard was on duty, play inflatables were allowed in pool if an adult was in pool with the child but then towards the end of the week we got told NO inflatables at all even though they sell them in the shop! The pool opens at 10am and there was always a queue to get beds. The food is of high quality something for everyone from pasta and pizza station to salads and meats and fish being cooked fresh in front of you and the cakes well they are in abundance too. There was always a station with veggie options on too. The only thing I’d say could of been better was the labelling on some of the dish’s. There is an al a carte restaurant which you have to book (we didn’t go as we had a 5 year old with us) The breakfasts were brilliant ? The pool bar has snacks all day from burgers and hot dogs chips salads to crisps and ice lollies, cocktails and alcohol a plenty. It has a small beach to the side of the hotel, it is a slight way out of the centre I’d say 2 or 3km it was 7 euros in a taxi. The children loved the mini disco and the evening entertainment was the usual standard of a hotel. The hotel has a spa and a hairdressers. I would gladly return to this hotel.

We have just returned from a week away in this hotel . First impressions when we first walked in was it look lovely. We was greeted a nice man called Stuart who checked us in and told us everything we needed to know. We was given a room in Block 1 on the 2nd floor which on entering the room found it was quite small and quite dated but too be fair we did know that some of the hotel rooms are being updated at the moment. We went back to reception and yet again spoke to Stuart who said we could upgrade for 10 euros a night which would have been 70 euros , so he offered us a key to look at an alternative room on the 7th floor ìn the same block. On entering this room you could see that this room had been updated and was more modern but the bathroom was exactly the same and we didn't think it was worth an extra 70 euros so we just stayed in our original room. We had booked half board and we are glad we did . The food was lovely in the restaurant , plenty of choice at breakfast from a full English , a lot of choice for cereal , plenty of fruit juices , coffee and everything else you would want from breakfast. So after our day on the beach we returned to the hotel to get changed for the evening and go for dinner. The food at dinner was lovely , loads of choice from salad and soups to a full main course and plenty of choices . The only down side was the prices they was charging for drinks in the bar. We did find them a bit steep . One thing I will point out I there is an option if you are doing half board to swap your evening meal for your lunchtime meal, so if you fancy eating out in one of the lovely restaurants in Benalmadena then there is an option to do that. All in all we had a fabulous time at The Bali , great location, Bonanza Square 5 mins walk away and 5 mins walk to the beach down cardiac hill and also quite a few nice cheap bars at the bottom of the hill as well . We would definitely return here

The hotel is difficult to find and parking is separate so hard when you have cases. The lifts were not working. We only stayed a night. At check in no info was given and there was no info pack in the room, there was a phone but couldn’t phone reception as didn’t know what the number was. The hotel seemed quiet and no open bar other than a formal restaurant. The room was boutique style and nice. The area had a small square near by with restaurants. Pool looked ok but limited loungers so unable to sit by the pool. Was fine for a night but would have struggled if had to stay longer.

A really lovely family holiday. I'm glad I didn't pay too much attention to the bad reviews. We couldn't fault it. All staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were lovely with lots and lots of varied choices. The beach club was brilliant and food and drinks were included if you have an all inclusive package. The bus up and down the hill was very regular but could be very busy at opening time. But for us, 2 adults with 11 and 4 year old boys the walk was not too much at all. The sandy beach was a 5 min walk from the beach club. The hotel pool was amazing and small inflatables were allowed. There were enough sun beds and the drinks and pool side buffet were great. The rooms were spacious and clean with lots of storage. Daily cleans and linen/towel changes if required. We have been on holidays that do have better evening entertainment but the kids enjoyed the mini disco and daytime entertainment was varied. Taxi to either Benelmadena or Fuengirola were approx €10 where we had a great boat trip and all got to jump off and swim in the sea. And a great little kiddies fun fair, plenty of shops and gorgeous beaches both ends. All In all a really nice, friendly break away. I would definitely recommend.

We visited the Holiday World resort end of May/June. On arrival we were impressed with the swift check in. As we had arrived at 9pm the hotel had kindly left us plates of food in our fridge in case we were hungry. We stayed in room 531 and had a fabulous view of the pool and the sea. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with a kitchen, large bathroom with separate bath and shower, front room with sofa bed and large bedroom. There was access to the large balcony area from both the front room and bedroom. Food is your usual All Inclusive. There was always plenty, everything was constantly replenished and the staff in the restaurant are brilliant and clearing plates or getting you a table quickly when you walk in. We enjoyed the food and always found something delicious to eat. We also booked both the Italian and Burger restaurants at the resort. The food at both was amazing and the waiters and waitresses can’t do enough for you. The pool is good and there are lots of brilliant activities run by the entertainment team. The lifeguards are very observant and constantly checking everyone is safe. Plenty of sun beds and shade if needed. The snack bar around the pool has all the usual hot and cold food along with ice cream and cakes. You can also purchase crisps and branded ice creams from the bar. The daily entertainment includes a pool party, quizzes, bingo and various inflatables for the children to have a go on. The Waterpark was fun and the kids enjoyed going there. You can hire large rubber rings for the water slides. The restaurant there is also plentiful. The evening entertainment is fabulous for the kids. The team are very friends, enthusiastic and energetic which keeps the children happy. There are different parts of the evening from the Widgets, PTY, dancing, quiz's and an evening show! It’s all based on the outdoor theatre and with the visual screen laying makes it very engaging. We went to the beach and hired some very luxurious sun beds with thick cushions and a towel for €12 and worth every penny! Overall this holiday was for kids and to keep them entertained which is exactly what it did. It is a clean, bright resort with food and drink available all day. We love our stay and would definitely return.
