Lunch stopover during a visit to Kruger. Average service was a bit tardy but the food was excellent. If the waiters receive some training this place will be awesome.

We stopped for lunch at The Chubby Pig on recommendation from our guide on a visit to the Blyde River Canyon. Tucked away down a dusty track, The Chubby Pig is a real gem. Right by a river in a beautiful setting, the food was excellent and good value, and the staff really friendly.Highly recommended.

Idealic views of mother nature literally at the end of your table. Enjoy lunch or dinner with the elephants, rhinos, buffalo and an abundance of birdlife just a few meters from you. You will have to travel far and wide to find what we offer.
The Deck is situated directly at the Crocodile River and has excellent views to the Kruger Park, which starts a few meters from the restaurant. From the Deck we saw elephants, a giraffe, waterbuks and hippo's.I ate one night the Lamb Schank and the other night Eisbein with Sauercraut. Both served with lot's of meat and little vegetables (and very little sauercraut). The dishes were well prepared, but not high cuisine. The service was very helpful and friendly, but you shouldn't be in a hurry. We reserved a table with view to Kruger. It is advisable to do this, if you like to dine and view game at the same time. Prices are reasonable.

It's such a shame when a truly unique restaurant becomes blase. I reviewed this in 2016 as a must visit place. Well it's still a place worth a visit and a drink in the beautiful surroundings by the river. However the food on this occasion was truly awful. Actually inedible. Had they not used the word tender when referring to the beef I wouldn't have complained so much but it was so tough that it was beyond chewing. My wife also left her meal which tasted awful. The waiter refunded me my meal. I can no longer recommend the food although its a pleasant stop for a drink.Hi sir, I truly apologize for you unsatisfactory experience. It will be very helpful if you can tell me when you visited, and if possible who your waiter was. This will assist me to do our best to rectify the situation. Again, my sincere apology. Please let me know when you are in the vicinity again, I invite you to be my guest at Boskombuis. Regards. Francois

We had excellent impala and kudu here as well as a great chicken curry for the non-game eater amongst us. We would have come back if we'd had another in Sabie (as apparently not a few people, including the table next to us, did). Great service and atmosphere.

Specializing in South African Game dishes, Indian Curries cooked traditionally. All meals prepared on Open Flame with our restaurant seating offering you both indoor and outdoor garden settings with boma fires and a very relaxing atmosphere.
My daughter and I stayed at Autumn Breeze B&B across the street, and the owner walked us across to show us the restaurant. We were enchanted, both by the environment and the proximity. Happily, the food didnât disappoint! Our wonderful server, Priviledge, suggested the grilled ostrich- which was amazingly tender, and the potjie. Servings were ample and we left with full, happy bellies.

It is also known as just "The Glass House"
The glass house is a cosy small restaurant with lovely food from, fish, meat and pasta. The people are friendly and if you are lucky you will be served by Abe himself, who serves the meals with âmmmm lekkah lekkahâ.When you are thinking of having diner here, call to make a reservation. Just to be sure of a table.
