Next Door To The Palm Beach Hotel In Kotu The Gambia
After going for an evening meal I have to say I was extremely disappointed the staff were quite rude and the meal took ages to come .. this wasnât one of the great experiences of The Gambia for sure .. they need to remember itâs the smiling capital !

We dined here twice during our recent stay in The Gambia. The first time was very good ....great food, good service, extremely reasonable prices and a lovely sauvignon blanc for 550 dalasis. The 2nd time we dined here, service was good and the food seemed fine -- my wife had fish and chips and I had spaghetti bolognaise and I had a lovely apple crumble for dessert. However at about 4am, I started getting stomach cramps and severe problems with my digestive system..... I'll spare readers the details.I felt awful and problems continued right throughout the day and even now 3 days later, whilst much improved, am still not fully recovered.I can only put this down to the meal at this restaurant.....my wife was unaffected and apart from this meal, we had eaten the same food in the previous 24 hours.I am very sorry to post a negative review as it was one of our favourite eating places in Kololi and we have eaten here perhaps 5 times in 2previous visits to the Gambia.

I have been coming to Gambia for a number of years with friends. On this occasion I was eating on my own and did not welcome the manager hugging me across the shoulder..too familiar for someone I've never met before.I ordered a chicken dish and the chicken was so tough I couldn't finish it.One place to avoid.

Great restaurant with a huge choice from the menu from traditional Gambian to continental food. The Gambian Domada peanut and chicken stew was excellent. Staff and atmosphere super with local musicians playing outside. A lively part of town with plenty of bars and live music to enjoy.

Cabana's Beach Bar & Restaurant is the perfect setting for a day on the beach with excellent food, free sunbeds and free wifi. In the evening it is the perfect location for your a la carte dinner whilst watching the beautiful sunset
This place offers free sunbeds when buying food and drinks. Excellent fresh cooked meal, in my opinion the best Iâve eaten in the Gambia. Cold draft beer on the +35C sunny beach is magnificent experience! Excellent and very friendly beach and food service! All intrusive sellers are banned by the guards and this is especially important in the Gambia tourist areas. Excellent ocean view, unbelievably beautiful at sunset. Three times a week they have live music, not loud, not disturbing (as opposite to many other places featuring loud drums), so you can still relax while they are playing. The only minus is that property is relatively small, so most of the time beach is crowded, most of âgood placesâ are being reserved by that bunch of oldies spending there every day so you have not a chance to get a good place no matter how early you come there. We were visiting this place many times a week and were always happy with food and service.Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. It's our first year running Cabana's so all feedback is very useful. We will ensure that the beach is more accessible to everybody next year and beds will be allocated on a first come first served basis which is fair for everybody. We hope to see you again very soon.

Solomon's Beach Bar is on the bach at Palma Riva road, fantastic fish cooked african style in addition to regular European food.
My husband and I visited Solomon's 4 or 5 times during our stay in Kotu. This is a friendly place with a great view. Drinks were served quickly. We ate here one night. I chose the Potato dish and my husband had a fish dish. Both meals were fantastic, but were a little slow arriving. We were given a complimentary garlic bread whilst we waited. We had great service from Buba, and also some fascinating conversation. Well worth a visit to Solomons

Went one night for evening meal and was left waiting for 15 mins and only then, after we had asked for service, did someone come. We decided to leave without ordering as there appeared to be a long delay, even though they were not busy. We went another evening and the service was again terrible and we noted other diners had simila problems Tried decided to give them a third chance, this time at breakfast time - it was ok but then again, we were the only people there!! Wouldn't go again unless they upped their gear!

At GTS our aim is to ensure customer satisfaction every time. We serve from 8 am and close 4 am every day. Our services include breakfast lunch dinner and snack menus. Always ask your waitress for the daily specials. Our bar serves till 4 am with a DJ pla
Probably the closest you will come to local food - they serve Domada, Benechin, Yassa - all given a European twist and served very well - also the Captain Fish with lime sauce is equally good - service is very friendly and good if not busy. The only downside - very loud live music comprising 90% drumming starts at about 9-ish - this may be attractive to some - but not if you have unimpaired hearing!!!

Good food, nice setting especially at the street site, were you can watch the senegambia life. (Be early) Only disadvantage the many âmusicâ guys asking for money after theâve obscured the view and spoil the area with there music. Recomended cocktail:Mojito.
