Reviewing this place is complicated, but not because the French Cultural Center is a great place to go for its many wonderful events. The restaurant is inconsistent. When they have the menu items, they're tasty, but they're often out so my friends and I have taken to being prepared to be happy with ordering our 2nd or 3rd options. The service (particularly the roller-skating server) is good and the atmosphere (shaded, but outside and well-decorated) is quite lovely.

For lunch or for diner . Just a drink ? Don't forget "Happy hour" 19pm:20pm "Noche Latina" every saturday night Special senegalese dishes can be order by advance
The chef used to prepare the food to order. Then he got lazy and made batches and froze the food. And the microwave was set up to defreeze the plastic portions. What a shame. We don't go here anymore and most of our friends have abandoned this restaurant also.We are very surprised about your criticism, because we don't used microwave at all, it's why sometimes the cooking take more time than in others restaurants. So, if you didn't appreciate the food, the reason is somewhere else. In spite of this your opinion is important.

I was at Noflaye Beach restaurant for dinner with my crew. I enjoyed the well done fish for dinner with rice and vegetables. Great view of the ocean with play area for the kids. Free wifi. Middle price.

I love moroccan food and when I came across this restaurant, I took my colleagues over to this place at he first chance we got and we were not disappointed one bit. A couple of us were vegetarians and in the menu, there was only one vegetarian offering- Couscous Vegetarian and they decided to order that and the other 3 ordered Lamb and fig tajine and Lamb and vegetable Tajine. We got Vegetable Ratatouille as the starters and it was so good that we asked for more of that. The lady who owned the place also dropped by at our table to check if everything was ok and when we informed her that two in our group were vegetarians, she enquired if we had ordered Vegetable Tajine. We hadn't since it was not on the menu and she said she can cancel one couscous vegetarian and replace that with veg. tajine. Also, she ordered for some cheese stuffed samosas for us - on the house ! The food arrived and we really had a treat. The lamb in the tajine was so well done that it was falling off the fork when dug in. This surely is the place not to be missed and is also good for vegetarians. My vegetarian colleagues also enjoyed their meal very much and vowed to return when they are here next. The service was impeccable too.

Ate here with business colleagues, based upon trip advisor ratings. Place has nice decor, and good music. Service is also quite good, the place picked up about 9:00pm. Menu had a broad selection, albeit only in French language.Took the beef carpaccio upon recommendation of people on here, follow by the duck Brest. Both were great. The cheesecake for dessert came out frozen...twice, so that's a big fail on their part.Everyone enjoyed their meals, and all left happy. Fast forward 3hours, and I am clearly sick from the food...don't know what it was, but something there got me. It's obviously the exception to the rule, as people enjoy this place, nonetheless need to flag this up.Had it not been for this, I would give it 4 of 5 star rating.

We lived opposite and decide to try this location after hearing great reviewsWe sat next to the pool. It was quiet, clean and no mosquitos. We had 1-1 cocktails which was strong We ordered 2 entrees - cerviche, mussels and ravioli with squid. The courses were served fast, food was flavoured and well plated. Although it was pricer than other restaurants this was worth a visit once a while for a good treat

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel and were charmed by the decor and the location of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and put us at a table overlooking the ocean and
Great spot to sit with a cold beverage and enjoying the view of the Atlantic. Very close to the western-most point on continental Africa, and the dramatic environs donât disappoint. Watching the surf break over the rocks at sunset is definitely recommended.

This is a lively, friendly, casual place. Tables crowded, but in a fun sort of way. Lots of bustle. Service is good but note that sometimes itâs fast, and sometimes slow! Menu is huge, so I recommend you focus on House specialities. There are vegetarian options too. Dishes are full of flavor and portions are huge! Surprise: they will provide take out containers for leftovers. Diverse crowd. Family friendly. Definitely a place to go for a solidly good food experience in a lively atmosphere.

One of the best restaurants I have been in Dakar. The service was nice and friendly. We opted for the 3-course menu option that included a tasty appetizer, main meal ofa chicken plus fish dish with French fries, cuscus and plantain, and a desert of ice cream and confectionary. The price of that menu was reasonable (13000 CFA ~ 20â¬). The ambience of the restaurant was also nice. The second floor of the restaurant building has lots of art work (which are also reasonably priced compared to other similar places in Dakar)
