Not only am I writing a review, but I'm also the one who submitted the application to have this place listed on TripAdvisor. "Why?", you may ask; well, I felt compelled to do all of this because I have rarely been so disappointed (perhaps "tricked" or "scammed" is a better word) by a restaurant.
Lotus Lounge appears to be an extremely cosmopolitan and chic lounge/cafe in the scenic tourist trap of WuZhen. My fiancee and I ordered what the pictures in the menu depicted as Italian hot chocolate and fancy confections. The pictures looked great, and the prices (160 RMB for 2 hot chocolates, a chocolate mousse and a cheese cake) seemed to reflect that quality. But when our food arrived, my hot chocolate was nothing more than a scorched, thick, brown goop, without even a hint of chocolate or even sugar! My fiancee's hot chocolate was the same, so it couldn't have been a fluke. The confections also tasted like plastic, and seemed to have been defrosted minutes before. Again, the chocolate mousse did not taste like chocolate or much of anything, really.
I began to dread that we had in fact been fed some kind of synthetic or industrial byproduct. My fiancee and I both went to bed with stomach aches, and she remained sick throughout the following day. I blame it all squarely at that filth.
Bottom line: despite it's alluring atmosphere, avoid Lotus Lounge at all costs... Unless paying exorbitant prices to drink scorched, industrial sludge is your thing. I want my money back!

It is a mediocre "steak" place. Service is very good and they love seeing Westerners come in for dinner. The 8oz "T-Bone" is very thin and they season their steaks with a spicy rub which is actually quite good. Comes with a dipping jus that is very peppery. Very easy to get to and everyone in Tongxiang knows about this place. It'll tie you over until you're back state-side.

烏鎮観光を終えて杭州へ向かう途中で昼食のためにこのお店に立ち寄りました。お店の名前がとても変わっていて、このクチコミを書いている時でもニコッとしてしまいます。一般大衆向けの食堂で、二階で食事しました。食器は高級ではないですが、味はここよりランクが上の店に負けない味です。それほど贅沢しないで美味しい食事をしたいなら、このお店をおすすめします。

We happened to walk into this unassuming restaurant without prior research. It turned out that the food is the best we ever had during our 10 days trip in China. We later did a bit of web searching on Baidu (a chinese search engine) and it turn out that this was one of the restaurant that President Xi had entertained his Russian foreign counterpart during the November 2016 summit. We felt so privileged to dine in this place. I recommend pagoda shape sliced pork. The steam local fish is perfect. You will not regret it.
